i just finished watching ‘jagten’ (the hunt- 2012)

and just,,, holy fugg!!! that movie was so good, and like always, mads mikkelsen’s acting was absolutely incredible

buT wHaT thE fuuuc ?! wtf was that ending omg it was so good holy shit but alSO juSt AAAAAAHHH

i recommend watching it completely. it is a very serious movie that really gets to your emotions n for me personally, had me in a constant state of ‘i hate everyone. he is innocent. omfg stop this child please’- to sum up, it was a wild ride.

the movie also explores ideas of child abuse and sexual assault so please be wary when thinking of watching it. however, it doesn’t explicitly showcase sexual assault or anything like that but the ideas n implications could still be triggering so please be careful.

overall though, i absolutely loved this movie. had me gripped and invested from the get-go, mads is such a talented actor n once again it was a great film from thomas vinterberg. 10/10

hannibal is so funny cause will graham will be like “the chesapeake ripper ... he’s eating his victims” then it’ll hard cut to hannibal in the kitchen like this

Can you believe Hannibal the character played by Mads Mikkelsen really went: hey Will I just met you and I already feel some inexplicable force in the universe is driving me to bring you breakfast the next day, I know literally everyone says you are weird as fuck, and they are right, but you know what, you are literally the most magnificent human I have ever met, I am completely mesmerized by you, and not because you are hot. I'm fascinated by your mind and who you are, I think I'm even falling in love, how would I know if I have never felt this before, but I will give you the surrogate daughter you wanted back and ask you to run away with me without killing anyone, because literally all I care about is being with you. Then if you betray me of course I will forgive you, if I thought I could live without you I will realize how wrong I was and I'm literally willing to ruin my entire life just for the possibility that maybe you will love me back, because nothing in life fucking matters if I don't have you, I will wait years for you in a prison cell and then, if you finally say you do love me, then you might as well do whatever you want with what is left of me because it turns out all I ever cared about was you loving me
