I am so torn cuz on one hand I love the idea of Henry being an aroace king but on the other hand I love the idea of Henry being so full of love like his father was and just desperate to find someone to share it with but his mother drained all of the hope for love right out of him in favor of their goal

One thing I find interesting about Teddy is that his go-to insult for Marie isn’t “psycho” it isn’t “freak” it isn’t “sick” or “crazy” or “asshole”

It’s bitch.

And while bitch has come into the common parlance as being a gender neutral insult, its history is that it was specifically used against women (or to insult men who acted “like women”). It’s a misogynistic word, at least it was in the past. And I don’t think Teddy choosing to use that word over and over again is an accident on the dev’s part.

We KNOW he hates women. He calls Peggy names, launches unfair critique at the mayor, and talks about “guys like us” instead of “people like us” implying he thinks it’s men that should be running things, not women.

It’s not too much of a stretch to assume that it was an intentional choice to have the thing he uses to insult Marie with not be her, I don’t know, SERIAL KILLERNESS, but her gender/sex. I mean he sometimes says “crazy bitch” but the point of that insult isn’t to tell her she’s crazy, it’s to tell her what kind of bitch she is.

You ever think Marie would like use her caretaking skills she learned from being the Older Sister by a 10 year age gap to take care of Henry?

Like imagine she’s out there in the world powering through making do with the shit hand she was dealt and she’s like carrying Henry or changing him or feeding him or something and she’s just like “young man you are so lucky your mommy was forced to parent your auntie because at least she knows how to take care of you now”
