Did you really have to remind me of what you made go through?

The pain i feel today, will it bloom into the purpose of tomorrow?

Even this year Christmas ends with me trying to throw away all the gifts you've left for me, deep in the maze of mind.

My being has let you go, but my mind

it keeps looping our memories in my head as if the cassette is stuck,

and I can't even take it out.

"Yuta, over here!"

Yuta turns to you, eyes searching yours. You just nod at him, giving him the 'go ahead'. Your eyes follow him as he turns and walks his friends, and only move to scan the rest of them when Yuta starts doing some weird handshake with the boy who called his name.

All of them are handsome, but your eyes recognise only two of them. One being the guy in the cardigan from this morning, and another being Jaehyun. Your eyes meet his and he smiles at you, hand going up to wave at you. You wave back at him, lips pulling up in a smile.

As Jaehyun gets up to walk to you, his posture the epitome of confidence, you notice the cardigan guy turning in his chair to look at the two of you. Jaehyun's voice makes your head turn to look at him, eyes taking your focus off of the cardigan guy.

"Hey Y/N! Fancy seeing you here." Jaehyun says, one of his hands tucked in his front pocket. You can't exactly deny that he's handsome, and the shy smile that he's giving you just makes it harder for you to accept this fact.

"Hi, and uh, yeah I came in for an interview." You curse yourself for the stutter, reminding yourself that he's just a boy.

His eyes light up at the sound of your voice, and he says, "Oh! That's pretty cool. They'd be idiots to not hire you. Also, I didn't know you were friends with Nakamoto. If I had then we'd know each sooner."

You laugh at his words.

Of course he's flirting with you. Or is he? Are you just being stupid? No, no way he's flirting with you. He's just being friendly, right?

As you're about to answer, someone else interrupts you.

"Hey, Y/N, right? You're here for the interview?"

You and Jaehyun turn to the guy, and you nod your head. He's wearing a white shirt, sleeves rolled up. You see no nametag on him, but you do see the way he's smiling at you.

"Great! I'm Dev but you can call me anytime."

The smile drops off your face at this, and Jaehyun exclaims, "What the fuck!"

Your head whips to Jaehyun, his eyes aimed at Dev, holding none of the warmth they held a second ago.

Looking at Jaehyun's expression, Dev puts his hands up, and says, "Chill dude, I'm not gonna hit on your girlfriend. I was just kidding. Come on, I'll take you to the manager."

Your eyes turn to Jaehyun as you hear him mutter "You better be."

As you go to follow Dev, the boy already disappearing through the corridor leading to the back, Jaehyun's hand on your elbow makes you turn around. Your eyebrows go up in question, and Jaehyun opens his mouth, and closes it again. He takes a deep breath, his hand dropping from your body, and he just whispers a 'goodluck' and walks back to his table.
