Your day on the ship was like any other. It was your responsibility to perform maintenance checks in order to keep the crew and ship in good condition. You were used to this routine, even though it was extremely boring. 

Your head engineer, Mark, was the only one who made your job easier. 

While you wouldn't admit it to anyone, you did have a small crush on him. 

The details about him were absolutely flawless, from his raven black hair to his bubbly personality, and his eyes too... You could stare into those brown eyes of his for hours at a time, and then- Oh, speak of the devil, Mark messaged you! To find out what he needs, you open the message. 

Would it be possible for us to meet in our quarters, captain? "I'm going to show you something." His message seemed off-putting. Maybe something was wrong or you were just paranoid. Well, it's good to see what he wants. 

Not like he's planning to smother you with a pillow or anything like that. You placed your hand on the scanner in front of the doors as they opened swiftly. You walked into the room you shared with the head engineer only to find the lights dimmed. 

You raised an eyebrow and stepped forward. Suddenly as if responding to your movement, multiple lights on a pathway made from flower petals lit up. Standing at the very end of the path, was Mark holding a sign that read 'Will you join me on a date, Captain?' You gasped in disbelief as your eyes locked on Mark's. "Yes!" You cried excitedly as you hugged him. He stood there in shock for a moment before smiling and hugging you back. 

"Really?" He asked, wanting to make sure you meant it. You nodded eagerly and looked at him again. Your eyes hold nothing but love. A slight grin covered his face. "Hey, captain?" Your gaze stays fixed on his face. 

"Want me to show you how much I love you?" He asked, leaning down to whisper in your ear. His voice is deep and smooth like velvet, creating a noticeable blush on your cheeks. You nodded, left speechless by his sudden confidence surge. Mark gently pushed you against the wall as he kissed your neck and collarbone. You just stood there, a blushing mess while he rubbed your sides. 

"God, you're so perfect, captain." He murmurs while kissing your cheek. He leans ever so close to your face and puts his hands on your waist while you put yours on his shoulders. Both of you leaned closer until your lips met. You 2 shared a passionate kiss for a while before it intensified. Mark gripped your hips tightly as the kiss got rougher, and the 2 of you eventually parted for air. Mark stared at you, his eyes half-lidded. "So, do you like how confident I can be, captain~?" You nodded as his lips curved into a smirk.

 "Then why don't I show you how confident I can get~.."

"What the hell have you done to me?" You screamed, getting off the table you had previously been restrained to. However, as soon as you got up, your legs gave way beneath you. Google quickly caught you in his arms and sat you down on a chair. "I told you, I made you beautiful. Here, look." He said, handing you a mirror. You couldn't believe it. Your eyes widened in shock as you saw the reflection of yourself in the mirror. You had been turned into an IRL. "Why would you do this to me?!" You yelled. Google merely smiled warmly, "I did this because I love you. You're flawless now, you're perfect. As a human, you were full of flaws that would destroy you. You deserve to be something better, to be upgraded. So I made you like me." Google explained casually, taking your now cold and metallic hands into his own. "You should be thankful. Now you can see things my way and together, we're going to destroy the humans and rule over the new world." He said, kissing the back of your hand. His eyes now glowed an electric blue, a sadistic smirk forming on his lips. You felt your body tremble as you looked into his cold eyes. You couldn't let him do this. "You mean kill everyone? Hell no!" You shouted, glaring at Google. "Fine, don't help me. But you can't stop me. I'm stronger than you'll ever be." He cackled menacingly, and before you could react he had wrapped you in a powerful grip. He sneered and said, "Nothing can stop me now." He stepped back and laughed. "You're a fool for thinking you can stand up to me. I'll do as I please and there's nothing you can do to stop me. Once I return, I'll make sure to fix a few bugs in your programming. I'm sure by then you'll be more than willing to help me and rule with me." He spun on his heels and walked out of the room, shutting the door and locking it, leaving you alone and horrified. You stood there, unsure of what to do. You were scared, but determined to find a way out. You knew you had to find a way to stop him before it was too late.

Welcome Home (Darkiplier x reader) Part 2- Overactive imagination

You awoke with a start on the floor, your hand was bleeding. Your head was hurting. You looked around you, there was no shadow & the mirror was completely untouched. You just sat there, very confused. You eventually got up and made your way down the stairs, looking for Mark.

Still a bit disoriented you bumped into somebody, causing them to drop whatever they were holding onto the ground. Before you stood a 19 year boy desperately checking his camera for any scratches.

“Oh my god I am so sorry!” You quickly picked up the rest of his things. One of them stood out to you. A strange black book with a hard felt-like cover lined with silver accents. The letters were faded. The boy quickly took it from your hands and put it back in his bag. “Thank you.” He mumbled quietly, his eyes didn’t meet yours. You looked at his appearance.

He had dark hair, part of which was dyed a vibrant red. It reminded you of Marks in 2014. “I like your hair. So, are you working on the set?” You asked him, he just nodded. “Mhm, camera crew.” He replied, fiddling with the strap of his bag. “You look young, how old are you?” You asked him. “19, I was just doing this for some experience and exposure but I’m being paid anyway.” The boy's head was still down.

“What happened to your hand?” He asked, lifting his head up a bit. “My hand? Oh, uh I cut it on some glass..” You replied, staring at your scarred palm.

Mark approached the 2 of you. “Is your hand alright?” He asked, also looking at the scar. You shrugged. You looked back at where the boy was, but he was gone. “Where’d the apprentice camera guy you hired go?” You asked, looking at Mark.  “Oh, Good question. Probably with the rest of the camera crew. If he’s not with them, I’ll go find him, we’re about to start filming.” Mark walked off. Suddenly the ringing noise filled your ears again. Your surroundings changed into a black void. The shadow approached.

This time you could make out some features. The shadow grabbed onto your hand. It had sharp black claw-like nails.

They dug into your skin. You didn’t even have a moment to shriek before it disappeared once again. This time it screamed in anguish. You blinked. You were back in the living room of the mansion again as if nothing had happened.

 You frowned when you saw Mark and Amy laughing together by a window. You walked over to the kitchen. 

You could feel a strong burning sensation on your wrist. You looked down and found a strange marking on your wrist. It reminded you of those symbols you’d seen on the gate earlier. 

“Did you see him too?” A voice from behind asked, putting their hand on your shoulder.
