part 1

It's been 2 weeks, and Jake felt like smashing his head into the nearest wall, and his phone too. With the amount of times he has heard the same robotic voice coming from his phone over and over again he feels like he's going crazy.

Jake threw his phone to the bed as he watched it bounce before settling on his pillow, he totally was going crazy. he knows he fucked up and he wanted nothing more than to apologise to you, he knows you didn't deserve what he did to you but he can't let you know that he is really sorry when he can't even get to talk to you because you probably blocked him on all of your social media since he couldn't reach any of them, and with your overprotective best friend he couldn't even get to see you at all, and that was driving Jake mad.

He took out the bottle of alcohol he had hidden in his bedroom, and didn't even get a glass before he had already drunk half of the bottle. He had nothing on his mind other than you, Jake did a lot of stupid things like the bet that involved you which he totally regrets, and right now his thoughts of showing up to your house is the stupidest thought he's ever thought of, and in his drunken state of course he's going to do just that.

you were laying on the couch trying to find an interesting movie to watch to get your mind off Jake. It's been 2 weeks but you couldn't stop thinking about him, maybe the fact that you've been just a stupid bet all this time have been hurting you so much but there's also the fact that the time you've spent with Jake has been the happiest you've ever been, you don't regret dating him.

your thoughts got cut off when the doorbell rang and a sudden loud banging on the door made you flinch and get up from the couch, wiping your tears while making your way to the door. You weren't expecting anyone, your parents are on a vacation and Yunjin is spending the night at her boyfriend's house, your mind was racing at the thought of who can be behind the door.

as you opened the door slowly, your heart dropped at the person behind the door, you felt your tears coming back, you wanted to scream, shout, yell. But you held it all back when you looked at the familiar tired eyes staring right back at you “Y/N…” as soon as you heard him talk you felt yourself come back to reality, your brows furrowed and tried slamming the door in his face but Jake was much faster and slipped inside before it can close. “What are you doing here!! get out before I start screaming.”

“woah! we don't have to go that far, just listen to me please give me a chance to explain myself..” you can see the tears forming in his eyes threatening to fall, you knew if you didn't look away now you'll cave in to his pleads and you were going to until you smelled the alcohol reeking of him, “Jake.. are you drunk?” you said, your full body is on guard now having your ex boyfriend forcing himself into your house drunk wanting to explain himself isn't an everyday thing.

“no? I mean yes but please I just want to apologise. I can't do this anymore. I can't keep going on with my day like this.” Jake stated as he went forward all he wanted to do right now was hug you and cry in your arms, he wanted everything to go back to normal he can get on his knees right now and beg for your forgiveness, he'll do anything if it means you'll forgive him. he wanted to kiss you and tell you how sorry he is over and over again, but the hurt look in your eyes, keeps reminding him of how badly he fucked up and he wasn't leaving today until he made everything right.

“apologise about what? about the fact you've hurt me? lied to me? faked your love for some stupid bet? you've already done enough Jake what more do you want from me.”

“I know this is so messed up, I won't lie to you. I know it was all just a bet but I fell in love with you. I was gonna tell you sooner but I couldn't bring myself to do it and it's such a low move from me but I was scared of this happening. scared of you leaving me. please I'll make it up to you, I promise I'll do anything. Anything, just don't ignore me anymore. I'll apologise a hundred times if it means you give me one more chance to show you how much I love you and how much I'm really sorry.”

By now Jake was crying. “I'm sorry.” He mumbled again, but as you looked down to process everything he just said, Jake could no longer fight the temptation to pull you into his chest. When you didn't pull back, which surprised him, he pulled you in tighter and started combing his fingers in your hair. He immediately stopped when he heard you sniffing and looked at you just to see you crying.

He pulled you in again resting your head on his chest while his head is resting on your head trying to calm each other down. “I promise you I'll make it up to you even if it takes you years to forgive me, I'll never give up on you, on us.” you finally looked up at him chuckling at his words “you're an idiot Jake sim, I shouldn't forgive you this quickly but you're too cute not to.” Jake felt like he could die at any moment right now, hearing you say you forgive him made him feel like he's done the impossible.

“Wait you're for real? omg please tell me you're not joking, do you really forgive me?” you laughed at his shocked face, holding his face in your hands “I do. But don't think it'll be this easy, you'll have to work to gain my love again.”

“I'll do anything.”

you hug him again as none of you talk relishing the silence in eachothers arms. “I know you want to ask something, what is it?” you stated the obvious as you felt him flinch, he hesitated a but before he asked “can I kiss you?” you grinned at his question and you pulled his head closer to yours “you don't have to ask silly.” As soon as these words left your mouth his lips smashed against yours, you smiled through the kiss yearning for more of him. But right now you couldn't ask for more, and you can't help but think that maybe meeting Jake wasn't so bad after all.

"You taste like soju, how much did you drink?"

"shut up" he mumbled as you laughed.

I lied, I'm not making the chapter longer-

But I'm writing the ending of chapter 2 right now (which is ending with a cliff hanger 😋) so the chapter will be posted by the end of this week or the start of next week, since I still need to edit the chapter :3

Ik I said I'm gonna post chapter 2 in a week or two but I've changed some stuff and decided to make the chapter a bit longer since I don't want to write more than 7 or 8 chapters and I started exams recently so I'm not able to write much BUT IM REALLY TRYING TO SPEED IT UP AND FINISH CHAPTER 2 SO HOPEFULLY VERY SOON IM REALLY SORRY FOR THE DELAY IM TRYING 😭

part 2

you don't know where it went wrong. or maybe you did but you wanted to stay in denial that what's between you and Jake isn't really over, you stared at your phone screen rereading the text your best friend, Yunjin sent you.

“hey, y/n. I wanted to tell you this before, well not me, more like Jake should've told you but apparently he just wants to keep playing with you. I've overheard him and his friends talking last week about you being just a bet, I didn't want to be the one to tell you this but Jake was too scared to tell you so I did. I love you so much and I don't want to see them play around with you like some kind of object I'm coming over, you're not alone I'll be there with you.”

as you finished reading it you received another call from “jakey 💌'' and you broke down again into tears ignoring his call for the 18th time this morning, you pack your stuff from his apartment, remove the promise ring he gave you as a gift from your hand leaving it on the coffee table in the living room and putting on your shoes getting ready to leave with your eyes full of tears, you hear your phone ring again completely ignoring it, looking around the apartment that you and jake had many cute moments in only for them to turn out a lie just for some bet he had going on with his friends. you take a deep breath and step out of the apartment going out of the building and into your car, closing the chapter that you and Jake once had hoping to never see him again.

Jake never meant for it to turn out like this, he won't lie it did start out as a bet but he didn't expect himself to fall in love with you, he was gonna tell you soon but he knew it won't turn out good so he wanted to relish the time he has with you being in his arms but it all went down when he received a call from yunjin telling him that you know now. he didn't even wait a second before he bolted out of his friends house running to his apartment while trying to call you, he felt his heart break everytime you ignored his calls and messages, he knows he fucked up, he knows it'll take alot for him to get you back but right now all he wants is to know that you're still there for him.

once he gets to his apartment and opens the door just too see his old plain looking apartment with none of your stuff there, oh he really fucked up. he tried calling you again just for it to be in vain, so he called your best friend only to hear her say “never come near y/n again or it won't be pretty for you, you've hurt her enough just leave her alone.” he didn't get to say anything before yunjin hung up, Jake felt his world breaking down he can't do this alone, you were everything he ever wanted, needed. And he just can't let you go, but it seems like life really hates him as he sits down on the floor and just cries his eyes out for the rest of the night.

Maybe in another life you both won't have to suffer like this and just live a normal life together. just like how Jake always wanted.
