And another bad date. One after the other, each date was getting worse and worse. Your only comfort right now was ice cream, sweets, snacks and hugs from your friend heesung. Thank god heesung existed. No, literally, he's your closest friend, the one who drives you to and from your progressively bad dates, the one who comforts you after them and honestly, the only boy you'd really love to go on a date with.

Suddenly, the sound of fingers snapping awoke you from your trance and brought you back to reality.

"You zoned out" heesung spoke. "Don't think about it, the date, I mean" he added.

"Oh thanks, that's actually a great idea! " you replied sarcastically.

How could you not think about it? Tonight's date was the last resort to finding someone that would make me forget about him and it was honestly, my biggest failure yet. You tried to study his face in order to figure out any emotions or reactions but he had a blank stare on, slowly turning to a soft one with a little smile.

"I would like to confess my feelings too then," he played with his fingers nervously trying to find the correct words to express himself, " I've liked you for close to a year now and I've never had the courage to tell you because you started going on those dates and I was scared of sounding jealous so I kept quiet"

After that you pulled him in for a hug, inhaling the scent of the expensive cologne he loved so much and he tightened his arms around you.

you were sitting on one of the park's benches with your best friend while eating strawberry flavored ice cream he got for you, when you heard someone call your best friend's name.

"jake!"

it was louder this time, meaning the person calling him was coming closer. Suddenly one of jake's friends, sunghoon, came into view trying to catch his breath while he sat down on the bench between you.

well now that was awkward.

he looked between you two, clueless to the situation you were in and asked,

"did I interrupt anything?"

he asked and to that question, your cheeks reddened as you turned to look at jake, noticing how his cheeks were also light crimson as he opened his mouth to answer his friend's question

"n-no you sure didn't" jake stammered. but jake never stammers?? and you just stood there, a little sad that jake answered sunghoon's question negatively and you just stood there, taken aback by jake's answer and by his stammering.

"it doesn't seem like it tho, anyways, heesung needs you in practice, jay was late and he almost got yelled at" sunghoon started talking without getting a breath, almost as if he was rapping.

you searched jake's face for a reaction and he didn't even look surprised by ths situation going on at the school's gym.

"well, y/n, I'll have to go, sadly, however, ill try to return you your book on saturday on our picnic!" he told you while he got his school bag, from the bench you sat on every day after school, and started walking behind sunghoon to the gym.

"I'll be waiting for my book!" you yelled and screamed, happy that he remembered the poetry book he borrowed from you, two weeks ago. you see, your and jake's bond was something unbreakable, being friends and classmates from a very young age and being lucky enough to be able to continue this friendship till now. you started packing your bag and put the cup from the ice cream in the park's trashcan while going to your house. there really wasn't anyone at home however you prepared your table fully and made yourself lunch. you sat down trying to find a boring enough movie so that you'll be motivated to stop watching it and study or catch a nap.

"oH HELL NOH, how could I forget our picnic?!" you stated nervously hoping that he didn't notice the panic on your face when he mentioned the picnic.

"great, I was hoping you remembered about it because, well,,, tomorrow's picnic will be extra special, than just a day on the calendar" he said, he seemed nervous and by his sentence you became nervous too, hoping that something joyful will be behind this "extra special picnic"

"YO Y/N YOU THERE?" he yelled and then proceeded to slap his laptop's screen, just to make sure his computer wasn't the problematical one.

"yeah sorry, my laptop started glitching, see you tomorrow at the park!" you yelled at him and ended the call in a hurry.

you sat up from your desk's chair and walked in front of your mirror

"I now have to go down and prepare for tomorrow's picnic" you said to try and convince yourself to go down and prepare however your plan was interrupted when your phone rang, the name of your other best friend lighting up the screen.

you woke up by the sudden sound of your alarm, you didn't even remember setting an alarm but you find have time to worry about stuff like this as you wanted to get up and get ready quickly for the picnic.

your phone rang and jake's number lit up your phone's screen.

"yo jake, bro, homie, fella, how you doin" that was the weirdest thing you've ever, like eVER, said in your life.

"Y/N Y/L/N ARE YOU DRUNK THIS EARLY IN THE MORNING?!"

"of course no jakey, it's 11:29 am, the picnic is in two hours "

" uh uh uh- special picnic" jake emphasized special once again.

" oh well, guess I'll take more time to get ready since its spEcial" you said, mimicking the way he said special.

" I swear to our friendship, y/n, if you're not ready by the time I come to pick you up, consider yourself not my friend" he said sarcastically, adding a laugh at the middle of his sentence.

"oh well, it's your lucky day because I have just started getting ready!" you lied, you walked to your dresser and started searching for that one pair of brown corduroy pants jungwon suggested you wear.

"I'm hanging up jake, gotta go get ready, see you at 1 outside my house!" you hung up without giving him a chance to reply.

you finally found the pants, searching for a shirt now. you found a white blouse you had got last Halloween for a pirate costume but never wore it. It didn't look like a costume shirt anyway, you shrugged and got into the bathroom to take a shower and get ready afterwards.

You were done with your shower now, the time was 12 pm and you had an hour left before jake got to your place to pick you up.

You put on your clothes and matched a pearl necklace (which was, indeed, a gift by jake) with your outfit, you opted for some classic black converse high tops as for the shoe choice, and with that, your outfit was complete.

You headed downstairs to prepare your basket, full with snacks and fizzy drinks, also getting a light blanket with you, just in case.

You heard a car honk from outside and checked the time, it was 12 : 40, twenty minutes before jake should be here to pick you up. The same honking sound was heard again and you headed to the door to see if it was jake by any chance. It was jake indeed, you got your basket, your keys, sprayed some perfume on and left the house, not forgetting to lock the door behind you.

"well hello there, y/n"

you were ready to tell general kenobi literally at his face, the pun must've been intended as you had a star wars movie marathon some days ago.

You both got in the car and jake turned the music up, a song unknown to you playing on the radio. Jake seemed different today, he seemed nervous, something unusual to him.

"is everything okay jake?"

"yeah why?" he responded while he let out a small laugh.

The drive went by quickly, however jake had taken you to a place you thought you'd never see again, it was the place where you and jake had first met. A park filled with bushes and sunflowers, huge trees and benches along with wooden tables. You were on the verge of tears, left speechless, you opened the car's door, taking your basket and started running around the park laughing loudly. You were feeling truly happy.

Jake was watching from inside the car, deciding to open his door too, taking his own basket, locking the car and started running towards you.

After running around for some good minutes, you sat on bench and left your baskets on a wooden table, starting to set your food in order for your picnic to start.

You had started eating your second sandwich when jake interrupted you, making you put your sandwich down and turning your attention to him.

"of course I do! I've been searching till this day! but what does that have to with our special picnic?"

"well, I'm the one who sent those letters" jake said, lowering his head and starting to fiddle with his hands.

"well, that was a good one!" you started laughing. Noticing the situation jake was in right now, it only meant one thing, "WAit, you're not joking?"

"not really" he said giggling sadly, lifting his stare and watching into your eyes. You extended your arms and reached out to hug him.

"wait, you really didn't know I liked you? The boys kept on telling that my crush on you was too obvious!" he said, looking annoyed by his friends that moment.

"I mean, you did throw a basket ball at me once that had, "let me take you out" all over it but I didn't think you meant thAT TAKING OUT" you said, laughing at the old memory you had remembered.

well, y/n, would you officially allow me to take you out?" he asked, a glowing happy slice on his face when he noticed your emotionless face, "on A DATE, I mean, not with a basket ball!" he added. With that, you burst into laughter and looked at him, showing him your brightest smile.

"Y/n, we've been together long enough for you to call me dude or bro" he hugged you, pulling you towards his chest, trying to make you lay and sleep. "Jake, it's raining outside, you know," you started hesitantly, trying to tell him the idea that blessed your thoughts at fricking 3 am, "I was wondering,,, if you'd like to go outside and, have some, um, fine in the rain?"

Suddenly his eyes popped open and he stared at you as if you were a genius, or as if you had just said the stupidest thing ever. "I have no problem, honestly, I've never had fun in the rain" he said, making it sound a little like a question but his expression softened one he saw the huge smile that was plastered on your face.

He sat up and put on a huge hoodie, over his silk pajama button up shirt and wore a pair off socks before grabbing his slippers, waiting for you to come out of the bathroom so you could go outside. He checked outside his window to see if it was still raining, and let me tell you, it was raining raining. There weren't even thunders, however the rain was heavy.

He closed the window when he heard the bathroom's door open and your figure getting out. You were beautiful. Sure there might have been bags under your eyes because of the lack of sleep and you were wearing a hoodie of his, along with your long pajama pants and a pair of boots but in his eyes you were just beautiful.

"Jake you're staring" you said and puckered your lips to make fun of him and he quickly turned his face to the side, it still struck him how, even after the time you started dating, you still looked as beautiful as ever to him. "Also, please tell me that you won't be going out in the fricking rain with your slippers on" you stated and he looked at you, eyes wide, looking dumbfounded.

"Should I not? I'm even wearing socks?!" he stated the obvious, his multi-colored socks peeking through. "Jake you're going to ruin them, grab your boots instead" you suggested, returning to the bathroom to grab his boots. "Thank you y/n~" he said melodically and stared at you.

As soon as he put on both his boots, you grabbed his hand and ran to your front door. Jake made sure to grab a pair of keys before you exited the house and shut the door behind you.

The rain was heavy, but you didn't really care, there weren't many cars around and the streets were empty, so you started jumping around in puddles outside your house, already feeling the rain damping your clothes. Jake was looking at you with a soft concerned look, soon after shrugging his shoulders and joining you in jumping around.

"Y/n, do you want to dance?" he suggested while coming close to you and pulling you in a soft hug. "I would love to, Jake".

He smiled and it was like your world lit up, even if it was 3 or 4 in the morning, you hadn't kept track of time and honestly, you wanted to stop the time and enjoy this moment forever. "Great!" he said excitedly and took his phone out, you were a bit weirded put because you hadn't saw him take it with him and literally, why would he take his expensive phone out in the rain?!

You noticed that he was typing something and a minute later, you heard "Singing in th Rain" by Gene Kelly playing from his phone.

"Relatable " you stated and you both started laughing, he bowed and extended his arm out, "Dear y/n, would you be kind enough to give me this dance?" he said and you blushed a little, your boyfriend seeming way too much charming with his hair drenched, "Oh I don't see a reason to refuse, mr jake" you responded and placed your hand on his, him placing his other hand on your waist, as you started dancing around your garden and you were sure that your neighbor was staring at you, wondering what was going on. The song ended but you didn't really care, you were still dancing with Jake even if there wasn't any song to dance to. Your dancing came to a stop as you were both drenched and your clothes were stuck on you, even your socks were damp, your hair dripping. He lowered his head do that your foreheads were touching and you looked into each other's eyes, you were both mesmerized by each other. He kissed your lips, his lips were soft and a little chapped. Your lips were moving in perfect sinc and his hand was still on your waist and the other one was on you cheek, both of your hands resting on his waist.

You broke the kiss to get some air and hugged, just enjoying the moment and saving the memories you were making.

"Oh you lovebirds, get inside, you're drenched and you'll surely wake up with a cold tomorrow!!" your neighbor was heard and you started laughing while making your way inside your house.

"Thank you for caring miss!!" you yelled after her and she laughed too.

Suddenly he took of his shirt, got the scissors from his table. He looked at his scars that remind him of the pain he went through his whole life, he looked at the wet pages of his diary that tell him about his hard life and then he looked out of the window. Spring. A season when everything wakes up. Everything wakes up again. After cold and freezing winter everything finds strength and wakes up again forgetting about past. Starting everything again. There was time when those trees with green leaves looked like a stick but now... There was no sun and no hope that sun will come up soon and now...

Tears fell dow from his eyes. He felt happy. Something told him to give second chance to his life. Give a second chance and start everything again. From new page.

The bell rang. Everyone was in the classroom. Heeseung too. He was always smiling and happy boy to everyone but no one knew the truth. Though it was obvious. Always wearing long sleeves, always sitting alone, avoiding eye contact. The teacher entered the classroom but he wasn't alone. There was a girl behind him. It was that Sunday when he was supposed to take her for a walk and then to that special place. They were meeting at their usual place. The fact that they have already developed "their" place made her heart (go bum chiki bum) race like a roller coaster. She was worried about the new place she didn't even know a word about, while he was nervous to take her there. Well it's somewhere he'd only visit all by himself, whenever he needed comfort.

He was standing there looking at his shoes thinking about topics to discuss with her when he heard footsteps and looked up. It was her. It was her wearing that simple yet flattering black coat, that pointed out her sharp features, her perfect nose, her plump lips which were definitely rubbed by cherry lip balm several times, oh how he wanted to kiss them, make sure they're marked as his, her eye bags that pointed out her Ocean blue eyes in which he could drown for hours, her dark eyeliner which was supposed to make her appearance darker but for him, she still was that cute girl he could fall for over and over again, not regretting a single time. And she smiled. Oh that smile. It never failed to make him go crazy, want to hug her closer to his heart, squeeze her to let her know about the love he held for her, kiss her face, cause she was so perfect. Her imperfections made her so so perfect, her impurities made her so so pure and lovable. How could he show her the love he held in his human sized heart.

- Hey- she said, trying to catch her breath. Well öbviously. She was rushing to meet him. Woke up hours earlier than usual, did pilates and workout, ate breakfast, got dressed, did her simple yet breathtaking makeup. Yes, that's what he made her do.

Their walks were still nervous. He wanted to hold her hand and she wanted him to hold her hand. But they didn't know about that. They'd comfort each other, talk about shit that happened to their kid selves and laugh realising their trauma causes. Maybe that's how they show their love. But that's definitely not only how they wanted to show love.

- where are we going?- she asked confused when he turned the other way

They climbed up the stairs and reached a tiny door. The kind of door that usually takes either to dwarf world either to rooftop. Obviously it was NOT dwart world.

-oh- she sighed when she saw the view. Nothing special, just a rooftop. But the sunrset that they could see. Just the two of them sitting on the rooftop watching the sunset

You guys are sitting on the rooftop, watching the sunset. He suddenly looks at you. So you turn to look at him back. He smiles and you smile back in your awkward smile and ask him if there's something wrong. But he just laughs and shakes his head. He leans closer, your lips almost touching. Your breath hitches when he looks at your cherry red lips and says " can I " . You gulp and nod. He leans closer making one last eye contact before connecting your lips together. The kiss was smooth and passionate he put his palm on your cheek while yours was on his muscular chest. After he pulls off and looks at you adoringly and whispers on your lips " you're gorgeous"

His thoughts were all about her while she was sitting on the edge of their bed and thinking of it. She didn't want to. But she needed to. But Ur wasn't right. But nothing else could help. But how? He'll notice. Hell nah she's not going to do that. No no no. And that's it. She's standing in front of the balcony door looking at his muscular figure though the thin glass. She could see the smoke coming out of the cigarette. The little light was calling her.

- Do you have a spare one?- the question got him out of his thoughts.

- cigarette. Do you have spare cigarettes? - she asked once again feeling her limbs get colder. Not because it was freezing nigh in January but because of his gaze. Oh that fucking gaze. So many questions spinning in her head making her dizzy

- here- her eyes moved to his hand. Here it is. That box. The box she'd never seen in his hands. But she could smell it. Both of them smoke. It's just that she brushes her teeth after. And he lets that venom slip into her lungs every single time. But what she didn't know Is that he could still taste it when they kissed.

- thanks- she mumbled and gave him the box back.

- oh yeah- he chuckled lowly after awkward silence when she was waiting for the lighter.- here

- thanks- again. She said the same word twice. What will he think? Will he think she's bored? But she's not. Is he insecure? Is he embarrassed? Why didn't he scold me ? I'm smoking after all. Has he already seen me smoking? Has anyone told him? And here we go again. Thoughts making her dizzy. She shuts her eyes close.

- so pretty - he mumbles exhaling the gray smoke

-huh? - she opened her eyes and looked at him.

- so pretty- he said a little louder not making eye contact.- even when smoking

- are you mad?- finally. She Said it. The relief she feels after letting those 3 words out.

- Yeah- he turns his head the other way. Avoiding her and her innocent eyes- this is the last time you're doing it

- can't promise- she says going back to inhaling the substance both knew very well was killing them

- are you kidding?- he looked at her. Finally. They made eye contact. But obviously he was mad. He was confused. He was mad. He was sad. - I said it's the last time

- Okay- she answered throwing the cigarette out.

- come here- he said doing the same with his poisonous treat and opening his arms. They hugged. Both knowing it was not the last time

Oh it was cold. It was a snowy storm. White nothing was the only thing seen out of the classroom window.

- We have physics class today, right?- she asked turning to him.

- nope- he said not even looking in her eyes. Obviously it was something he did. How could they randomly cancel the class.

- we do actually- a guy from the back answered.

- why are you lying? - she asked with the gaze of a murderer.

Soon she was dragged out of the building. The cold air hitting her soft cheeks making them even more red. They walked to somewhere she didn't know.

- where are you taking me?- she said trying to move her hair away from her face

- I'm taking to a basement so no one can hear you while I chop your head off- he said with a loving smile and moved that strand of hair behind her ear.

- yeah, it would be great if we got to the rooftop- she sighed remembering how an old man scolded both of them- it's really cold tho- she complained again rubbing her hands together with the hope of getting a little warmer. Well it started to snow unexpectedly. And they weren't prepared.

- you know what?- he said after looking at his shoes for a while- let's get hot chocolate. How does that sound?

- I like it- she said smiling

- well then, catch me if you can Mrs. Shortie- he said and started running away From her

-and I'm in love with him- she mumbled to herself and started chasing him

Soon after they were at the cafe waiting for their order

- here, this is yours- he said handing her the paper cup. The smell had filled their lungs ( just like the love their hearts)

- let's go outside

She sipped her chocolate as he watched her with loving eyes. A little bit of chocolate was left on her upper lip. "Cute" he thought to himself. He didn't even tell her about that. He liked how messy she could be with him. He looked at her soft hair that now had tiny snowflakes. And that's when it hit him. It's the first snow if the year. That means they'll last forever.

- it's still cold- she started complaining again, not liking the sudden change of weather at all.

- let's go to the store while I catch you a taxi

- come onnn. Let me do my job- that was the moment when she realised he's her man. Her one and only. Only hers and no one elses. Those thoughts made her smile unconsciously.

- it's almost here. Now my treat- he said looking up from his phone

- what? - she made her iconic confused face. Oh how much he loved her small cute face that was able to show the emotions she'd never talk about.

- you want... A kiss?

- yes please and faster the driver is waiting- he said as she tiptoed to connect their lips.

- now go- he slightly pushed he to the car. As the Gentleman he is he payed for her drive and now was waiting for her text
