I Finally Got To Watching Nimona And I Have Mixed Feelings About It.
I finally got to watching Nimona and I have mixed feelings about it.
I might just be acting like another ‘the book is better than the movie’ person.
I kinda like how the director is more of someone who believes so much in the old beliefs as oppose to her GN version where she was like gonna experiment on Nimona.
I wished Aambrosius had more agency and I also wished the movie built more of Nimona and Ballister’s heart to heart. The animation wasn’t bad, but the scenes where they’re in the super light places kinda makes it look like a Spiderverse deleted scene.
I actually really love how we got a kinda backstory to Nimona, we still don’t really know what she is, but the extra world buildings nice.
Overall, I did like it, but I kinda recommend the book more.

I guess there’s now a growing controversy with Miguel O’Hara and how everybody’s over sexualizing him.
and I honestly agree.
I’ve been trying to find some content for him (others as well) and I’m kinda upset that so much of it is just aggressive rough smut.
Like I get it, as someone who identifies as Asexual, Miguel is very attractive, but I’m a little disappointed at the fetishized version I’ve been seeing on here.
I get that this stuff happens, but please let’s maybe tone it down a little.

So, I bought a dvd of Across the Spiderverse and I spent a little extra on a dvd with these character cards. I can post more closer pics of the back if anyone’s interested.

Okay…here me out…Kirishima having these
Yeah, makes you wonder how often this man just goes through existential crises everyday.
Imagine if he did adopt Claire like I’ve seen in some fan works.
Man would just dissociate over every one of Claire’s milestones. (First day at school, Bully’s, First Time being called Dad, etc).
I’ve watched Shop: A Pop Opera, it’s was great and gotta love how the guys just going through so many existential crises during one shopping trip.
I also may or may not relate a little to much to the Coffee and Paper Towel songs.
I recently discovered Jack Stauber's Opal and I swear if this had came out during my middle school years on the internet, it would haunt me for decades. Low-key it kinda has been haunting me since I've seen it.
I want to see more, like how do the adults interact with each other, you know if they can even acknowledge each other in their own self isolation and narcissism.
But, above all else...I just want to pick Claire up and give her a happy and good life away from her toxic family. First stop would be getting her a burger from Opal's
