Neck Gaiters Are Comfortable But They Have A Tendency To Slide Down If You Do More Than X Amount Of Talking;

Neck Gaiters are comfortable but they have a tendency to slide down if you do more than x amount of talking; or at least the style my husband and I got (they’re multifunctional: face covering, headband, neck scarf and a head covering that I, as a woman, could use if I visited a place that asks/requires women to cover their head/hair in public) does that.

But oh, this whole thing is so relatable to The Princess Bride.

This Pandemic wasn’t over by Autumn?! Inconceivable!

Everyone is (should) be wearing a mask and it hides their identity; my husband walked past a former coworker of his to shop at a local retail store and she didn’t recognize us until we were leaving.

Three sisters and a BIL had to cancel a trip home and plans to do family pictures since our family has grown by at least four people since the last time we dif family pictures.

My Mom decided to cancel a trip to visit those daughters and Son in Law and be there to help when the bsby arrived so that she wouldn’t catch Corona and give it to her family and worry about quarantining there and here.

I had to let go of a trip to meet my newborn nephew and visit family.

It was the Pit of Dispair.

So much has happened to the point it seems odd that it all happened in one year; heck, March seemed to last FOREVER!

But hope is on the horizon and just maybe this story will have a happy ending too.

I laughed so dang hard.

This would be so freakin’ hilarious!

ok but consider end of ot vader AND end of ot luke travel back to pt-era - vader's causing chaos but has also completely outsourced his morality to luke, so every time he comes across an Old Enemy™ (read: everyone except padme and shmi) he turns to luke like "Murder?????" and luke is just like "not now father pls i need info"

vader leveling a lightsaber at general grievous: i am your superior, and your replacement. you will fall as all beasts do

luke, holding up a hand, consulting his notepad, which is a pre-recorded list of people that probably need to die to avoid galactic disaster: wait, wait, wait. hold on a second. this is definitely general grievous? like, completely sure? i wouldn’t really feel bad about taking down this guy, and it sounds like it would help the whole, uh, situation going on, but i really want to make sure it’s general grievous and not someone else. i’m really trying to keep the unnecessary murders to a minimum.

vader: are you under the impression that i would mistake general grievous for any other creature -

luke: i just wanted to make sure! i just wanted to make sure! remember the conversation we had about that - that clover guy? he didn’t NEED to die, you can’t just go around stabbing people you don’t like. you have to get used to not liking them and not being able to remove them from existence. it’s easy, you avoid them. or they’ll probably avoid you, if you just let them, and didn’t kill them first.

vader: rush clovis deserved his timely, justified, glorious, wonderful demise -

grievous: hello????

luke using the aunt beru voice: be patient, we’ll probably kill you in a minute

I know who the character on the right is and suspect that the character on the left is the newest Batman and even though I know better Edward Cullen looks more like a multi billionaire playboy than the picture of Batman and Batman looks more like a vampire or other undead creature than a person let alone a multi millionaire/billionaire playboy

If I Didnt Know About Either Of These Characters And U Asked Me To Pick Which One Is The Vampire And
If I Didnt Know About Either Of These Characters And U Asked Me To Pick Which One Is The Vampire And

if i didn’t know about either of these characters and u asked me to pick which one is the vampire and which one is the rich playboy i don’t think i would answer correctly

Having grown up in a tiny town we didn’t know everyone or what they were doing, maybe my parents did but not child and teenage me, we knew when a neighbor got a trampoline and later pool because we could see their backyard from the main street, but beyond knowing that one couple worked at the wood turning mill in town, and guessing that the guy across from us sold fishing flies (there was a sign) I can’t tell you what anyone else did for a living; well one man USED to work in a shoe factory and I only know that is because it turned out that he used to work with one of my dad’s brothers.

Granted I was homeschooled and the town was so small that when I was in school we were bused to the town south of us for school and didn’t really hangout with children my age as there were only two: a boy and a girl. Ths boy was mostly mean but I was friendly with the girl until we turned twelve and drifted apart.

The only “exciting” thing was debating whether or not the third house on left was haunted. A girl a few years younger than me claimed to see a ghost when the owners were away but she wasn’t reliable in my opinion. But it was spooky looking and outwardly in a state of disrepair. It COULD be haunted as it was the town doctor’s house back in the late 1800s-early 1900s and was used as a hospital at some point.

You CAN have people in small towns that no one knows much if anything about.

And if I remember correctly most people avoided the Cullens because they made them feel uncomfortable or weirded them out.

do you ever wonder why stephanie meyer had the cullens live in a small town to preserve their “anonymity?” has she ever been to a small town??? small town people got nothing to do all day, other than to gossip and think about those weird people that live in the forest. if anything, they’re getting the opposite of anonymity. you want real anonymity? live in a big city. you could live next to someone for 5 years and never even learn their name. they’re up all night? they’re beautiful, looks like they had some crazy good plastic surgery? you never see them go outside? somehow hella fuckin rich? yeah. That’s LA

Ditto.

A plot twist SHOULD make sense once you stop and think about everything connected to the Plot Twist.

The good plot twists aren't the ones that are wild left turns out of nowhere, they're the ones that make all the other little things that didn't quite add up before suddenly click

When I was 18 I took a ballet class at college and every morning our beginner adult class started just as the Ballet Majors in the studio next door took a mid-class break.

Many mornings they would gather in the doorway of my classroom and watch us struggle through our bar warmups or jumble up a new technique while they smiled and whispered to each other.

And every morning I dreaded seeing them there because I knew they were making fun of me.

I had other classes with some of them, and I was always embarrassed when ballet came up, and it always did, them being ballet majors, because I loved to talk about it but knew they’d seen me dance, and I was sure they thought I didn’t belong in the conversation.

At the end of the semester, our instructor announced that she’d like to invite the dancers from the next door studio to sit in on our final performance as an audience, and everyone in my class hesitated. We’d worked so hard, we wanted to celebrate our progress during our final without being judged. Most of us left class that day suddenly more anxious about the final than we’d ever been.

The next morning, in one of my other classes I had with the ballet majors, one of them approached me, and as if she’d been reading our minds the entire semester, she said

“Hey. I just wanted to say that I know we watch you guys dance a lot, and I wanted to make sure you know we’re never laughing at you. When we watch you guys learn the basics…..it reminds us of when we first started when we were younger. It’s like…looking at ourselves when we first fell in love with dancing. That’s why we love watching you guys.”

It shocked me. I felt awash with relief and utterly stupid all at once.

Here I had spent an entire semester assuming the worst of people who had otherwise been nothing but nice to me in every other setting, and I had no one to blame for that but my own insecurities that I’d allowed to rule me for months.

I’d been so unfair to these girls, because I was self conscious. I was so worried about being judged that I’d judged all of them.

Here I was worried they were laughing at me, and all along they were looking at me with nothing but absolute delight, even envy for what I was getting to experience.

This encounter changed my entire attitude, permanently.

It made me realize that, yeah sometimes people are jerks for no reason, but more often than not, people really are just….Good.

Since that day, I’ve started giving everyone the benefit of the doubt until they prove me wrong, for their sake and for my own.

And I’ve learned that the world becomes a lot better and life becomes a lot easier when you accept that maybe not everyone is judging you. Maybe you’re the one who’s hardest on yourself.

Let yourself be. Let yourself exist and breathe and be happy.

The world is a much better place.
