You weren't surprised, your very own brother had dated multiple girls in the past and often he was the one to end it. San was no exception.

"I'm not dating San. We're nothing else but friends, can you leave me alone now?"

"Yn! You can't date him!"

"Listen, if you like him, go tell him. Shoo, go."

Your classmate walks away, you could see the look of anger generated on her face. She just wanted the best for you but you were pretty fed up with her.

San reached in to grab a candy from his pocket, Seonghwa watched as he did so, concern washing over his face.

"San.. she really likes you.. you can't do this to her.."

San unwrapped the wrapper and placed the candy in his mouth.

"Might as well have a bit of fun with her."

Seonghwa flicked San's head, San immediately looked up at Seonghwa.

"Hey!?"

"Do you know how to do anything but toy with someone?"

"Excuse me?"

"Do you even like Yn? Or is this all just another sick plan of yours?"

"Of course I like Yn!"

"Then why toy with her? Betray her trust?"

"Can't I have a bit of fun with her? Before getting with her?"

"It might be too late. She won't love you forever.*

"She might. If she lets go I'll just bring her back."

Seonghwa shakes his head and facepalms himself.

"You do you, but I don't wanna see Yn crying."

"Why does it matter so much to you."

"I've known Yn longer than you.. she's like a little sister I never had."

San looks at Seonghwa and nods, before leaving.

Every single day since then, San would be extremely flirty with girls, when a girl confesses her love he would be flirty with his rejection.

He wouldn't pay attention to what you said and when he did he gave you short answers, this didn't bother you as much as he thought it would, he would start giving you false information just so he could get what he wanted out of you. However this got on your nerves enough.

You couldn't bear the feeling of one of your best friends acting this way…

As you went to the bathroom during class one day, you ran into the trio. However, oddly enough. Greeted everyone but San.

San, confused as ever, stared at you. Seonghwa glared over at him before looking back at you.

"You guys should go, I'll be in here or in class if you need me."

They all nodded except for San, who grabbed your arm as the others left.

"What do you want?"

San got startled by the way you responded.

"I'm sorry, I went too far."

"I don't have time for this right now, let me go."

"I kinda like this personality of yours."

You slapped his hand away and moved aside.

"Okay then, I'll show it to you more often."

It did hurt you to act so coldly to San, he was the one who cared for you the most when you got hurt, he was always there somehow.

You walked away but San grabbed you once again, however this time he kissed you.

A long, warm passionate kiss, as if you guys had known each other for over 10 years.

Your lips melted in the warm feeling of San's lips touching yours, circulating all over your mouth. Sometimes making it to your chin.

You could stay here forever, you never forgot that San was a good person despite his reputation.

"Next time don't play with me, I'm not your doll."

You said in a quite aggressive tone, San looked at you in pure shock as he hesitated for a moment.

"Sorry."

You giggled as you pulled him into a friendly hug, feeling the warmth of his body pressing up against yours.

You glared up at the person in front of you, you had been taken from your family without a reason or explaintion. What we're you supposed to do? You stared in anger at the person who had you taken away.

"I don't own anything that belongs to you. My name isn't well known among people of high standards like you."

You heard grunts coming from behind you, almost feeling a sharp pointy object barely touching your head.

"Leave her alone."

You didn't have a reaction with anything that they threatened you with, you sat on the floor glaring upwards to the head, your poker face never changing to fear or respect.

The young head kept eye contact with you before looking down at your ring and looking back at you. Rotating his view between your eyes and your ring.

"Is it that alarming that someone with low standards has something this valuable?"

"It's wouldn't be alarming if that ring wasn't worth millions."

"We work in order to own these things. We work to have food and clothing, we do things ourselves and deserve nice things more then anyone. We are the poor who do everything for you to live."

Again you feel a sharp point which you were sure was a spear being pressed right up into your head, until again, with just one glare from their master, the spears were gone.

"You sure have a mouth."

"I don't want to be rude. Just let me go, I don't have anything that belongs to this kingdom."

"It's not that easy to prove innocence."

You bit your lip and looked down at your ring.

The last thing you had left from your childhood best friend… that ring.

To be fair, you knew where that ring came from, while walking with your friend late at night, he spotted something on the floor, the shine of the ring was satisfying, something you never saw before.

You went to turn it in, but the person told you that the ring didn't belong to anyone for a while, saying it was unvaluable and dirty. He said you could go home with it if you wanted

"Here. You can have it."

"But you found it, just clean it and it'll be really pretty."

"No, I want you to have it, it looks nice."

That ring was the most valuable thing in your possession, without it, your would have nothing.

The ring made you forget that awful memory. That nightmare…

Of your friends town being completely burned, with no living survivors.

Your family… they needed you. Your parents were frail and couldn't make money on their own, how could you leave them until you proved you were innocent? How long would it take?

You looked at your hand, holding the valueable piece.

"If I'm found not guilty, will I get the ring back?"

The head looked at you for a moment before sighing.

"Yes, you'll get the ring back."

You got on your knees and bowed down, you looked up and he stared at you, he then looked over at his workers.

"Bring her to the guest room, let her rest for a bit."

You felt a hand grab your arm before you slapped the hand away, then walked you over to a room, it was quite nice to be a room given to you.

You looked over and saw a clock, 8:56, you knew it was late. Your family, everyone who was worried about you… how could you have just left them so carelessly, was a ring really more important to you then your own family?

How could you be so selfish…
