You listen cluelessly as the people around the table all chat in Spanish. You can pick up little snippets of what they're saying from what you remember of middle and high school Spanish classes- that you passed with a C. Not your proudest moment. You feel a calloused hand rest lightly on your thigh.

As your eyes mect his he smiled, gently squeezing the fat of your thigh, "Sorry, mi cariño. My family doesn't know much English." he whispers under his breath, pressing an apologetic kiss to your temple.

You smile at the kiss, gently leaning on your pro-hero boyfriend's muscular shoulder. "Not your fault, " you mutter. "I wanted to meet your family." You glance around the table. They really were a lively bunch- just like him. "She's a good cook." you mutter, leaning over him to grab a rice ball from his plate. You hear him chuckle as you pop the rice ball in your mouth. He wraps an arm around your shoulder, gently squeezing you against him "too bad I didn't get her cooking stills him?" You scoff remember all the dishes he had burnt. "My life would be much easier if you did, trust me. "you mutter, recalling all the times she'd cleaned up the burnt remnants of his most recent codding failure. "Hmm, you know, I got lucky with her as my mother" uh oh somethings off, he never says 'mother' unless he's mad with her or it's a joke, Its made clear which one as he finishes his sentence, "y'know, maybe someday she'll be your mother-in-law... he mutters in a suggestive tone, putting his arm around your shoulders. You crack a smile and bring a hand up to muffle your giggles, "Why? Planning to gut a riny on my finger?" he hummed playfully. "eager much? Well, one day for sure" he glanced down at you. "I don't even have plans to get a ring yet." he chuckles and flicks your forehead playfully. You pout, unknown to the fact that there was a small velvet box in his bedside table, right next to the bed where you two cuddle and talk in hushed whispers. Though soon, the velvet box will be moved to his pocket as he waits for the perfect moment...

The Marionette Fanart

Hiyaaa! Sorry I haven't posted that much this month, I've been busy with getting ready from school😅 (less then a month left😢) Anyway, I decided to do this crappy drawing for y'all. 😆if it's not clear, Marionette is holding the present box thing and the spirts are like, drawn to it. (those are the spirts of the missing children) 😅

The spirit she's looking at is the spirit of her- The Marionette. the one on the right side of the page (the blue) is supposed to be the spirit of Freddy. the one behind her shoulder is the spirit of Bonnie, and the one in the bottom left corner is the spirit of Golden Freddy. (I didn't end up putting in the spirits of Chica and Foxy- sorry! I may do another part of this drawing, like to add on to it that has the box and those two- maybe. I'll see😌)

~Chapter 8~

As you walk into the party, your hand on Shoto's arm, you're overwhelmed with senses, A nice, slow background music wafts around the large ballroom from a piano in the corner, The smell of wine and bakery items straight out of the oven drifts to your nose. You discreetly look around to find the sorce of the heavenly smell. As you glance around, you fully realize just how many people were here- it seemed like the whole kingdom! Well, concidering the occasion, it wouldn't be surprising it most of the important nobles were invited.

As Shoto led you further into the ballroom, you made note of the lavish decorations. To one side of the ballroom was a banquet table with delicious pastries and wine- just what you were looking for! To the other side, standing tales for guests to mingle. The walls were decorated with velvet red curtains for the beautiful windows. And ahead of you, a raised platform with thrones.

King Enji and Queen Rei were sitting on their respective thrones, chatting with Natsou and Fuyumi, who had managed to squirm through the crowd ahead of you, "Ready?" Shoto's soft voice broke you at of your daze. You took a deep breath and forced a smile onto your face- though you hoped that he couldn't tell that it warsn't entirely forced. "About as ready as I'll be. You?" He smiled slightly at your cheeky response. "Let's get this done and over with Shall we?" And just like that, his stoic mask was back as you two climbed up the stairs to the raised platform.

POV CHANGE- SHOTO

As he held Y/N’s hand, all he could think was "act normal, act normal”, trying to act like his heart wasn't beating out of his chest He towed her behind him as he passed through the crowd to his father, He politely nodded at all the Dukes and Duchesses, Marions and Marionettes, Nobles and other important people as he passed by. As he glanced up at the platform, he saw his two siblings in their own thrones on king Enji's side. And to his mother's side, a new throne was next to his. It must be for Y/N L/N. Well, that was her name for a little while longer. By the end of the week, she would be Y/N Todoroki, A shiver went up his spine at the thought.

Once they got up to the raised platform, he bowed to his father and nodded to his mother. His father tapped - well, tapped is an understatement. More like banged - his scepter on the marble floor to get everyone's attention. His mother slipped him a small white velvetly box with an encouraging smile. He didn't hear what his father was saying as he ran his thumb over the box. The box with the ring- no, their ring in it. he sighed under his breath as he tuned into what his father was saying. "-this alliance marriage..." of course he would call it that. "… between Y/N L/N and my son, Shoto Todoroki, will strengthen the bonds between our kingdoms.” Then his father turned to him, their eyes meeting for a split second, "The ring, Son." How does your own father calling you ‘son' sound so wrong? Though he nodded as he opened the box.

He watched as her eyes sparkled upon seling the ring, her face a light pink color. He looked down at the ring, silently studying it. And he couldn't lie, it really was quite beautiful, It had two stones, cut into the shape of a heart. (how ironic) One stone was his birthstone, a sparkling Garnet, And the other was what he assumed was her birthstone, a lovely (). He reached for her hand. He chuckled as he watched her quickly wipe her hand on her dress, an endearing habit, before letting him take your hand. Then he took the ring out of the box, setting the box on a small table. Although his father was talking, he paid no mind as he slid the ring on her finger. Then he smiled at her flustered expression and brought her hand to his lips, pressing a light, lingering kiss to her knuckles right next to her lips. he watched as your face flushed a brighter pink - if that was even possible, He smiled as he dropped her hand back to her side. Maybe if he could male her face pink everyday, this wouldn't be so bad. But, just two days until the real hellhole-the wedding.

Hey my crazies! I was a little too motivated last night and I typed this up!! It's super long to make up for my month-long break from writing! I hope you guys like this, it took my an hour or so bc y'know, writers block. I was having trouble with this chapter bc I have never been to a wedding or engagement party haha
