the disabled community need to talk about long covid more because it's been the reason for sm of my disabilities and reason for many getting worse. i have it pretty bad and have since 2020 and it's so exhausting coping with it

Uncannyqueer is a mental illness based queer stance centered around 'reclaiming' being called uncanny, a monster and other cruel terms because of mental illness or neurodivergency.

Uncannyqueer was inspired by how I and many other mentally ill beings have been forcibly dehumanized, neurotypical beings using the uncanny valley to be ableist and how visibly disabled people (especially people with deformities) are constantly treated like body horror shock content that should be censored.

Uncannyqueer supports: c-punk, neuropunk, traumapunk, alterpunk, reclaiming dere tropes, reclaimation of slurs used against you, people with no/low empathy/sympathy, "bad/scary" personality disorders (like npd, aspd, etc), "bad/scary disorders" (like biid, schizospec disorders, munchausens (idk how to spell it), etc), plurality, researched self diagnosis, "contradictory" identites like lesboy, amab transmasc, turigirl, etc, and paraphilias (including those who are anti-c with paras that would cause harm if acted upon)

Uncannyqueer is unaligned on: syscourse, shipcourse

Uncannyqueer doesn't support: radqueers, xenosatanism, pro-c for paras that would cause harm if acted upon, ableism, fakeclaiming, harassment, supporting and sheltering groomers and abusers.

I made this because I'm very frequently compared to the uncanny valley for lack of facial expressions, flat voice tone and complete lack of empathy.
