Obsessed With This 1850 Embroidery Pattern For A Repeating Coral Pattern
obsessed with this 1850 embroidery pattern for a repeating coral pattern

What would you even use this on? Who was the target audience? There’s definitely context here that I don’t have yet and I love it so much, it reminds me of @vincentbriggs’ teapot crinoid patterns!

Doyle Canon: This is Dr. John Watson. He has managed to have multiple love affairs on three different continents. He is a love machine. A sex god, if you will. Able to woo multiple Victorian ladies.
80% of Sherlock Holmes Adaptations: This is Dr. John Watson. He looks like a hamster.

I find it adorable how in SNW it's apparent that spock gets invited to girls' night out frequently, and he just sits there with them at the bar with his glass of luke warm water listening to them tell stories he absolutely doesn't understand, but he seems to enjoy being there nonetheless.
And it is also like a cute little continuety thing with TOS that tells us why he's so comfortable and friendly with Uhura, playing the lyre as she sings and allowing her to flirt with him in a friendly way.

While on holiday I was stitching away on my blue hexies. The more I stitch the more I seem to need but I am still making progress. Tonight I spent the evening sorting out what I have and what I still need. I still have to stitch together all the hexies in the big plastic zippy bag into rows. Once I have the rows made I have to stitch the rows together. Once that is done I stitch the units to the star. It’s not going to be easy and it will take time. That’s why I love these big projects. Another wee thought just popped into my head. How am I going to quilt it?

So I just randomly spend 2 days making a thing? A needle etui? Booklet? It's a thing to house my needles. Sewing and embroidery.
It's made from plastic cross stitching canvas, a bit of batting, aldi bedsheets and embroidery floss. My first time doing blackwork, I quite enjoyed it. Need to do more of that.
