You leave Bangtan’s headquarters for good on a rainy Tuesday evening, disappearing into the darkness with nary a goodbye. Hoseok is the one who discovers your vacated room the following morning and delivers the news in a subdued voice, his usual vigor dissipating into something flat and melancholy. She’s gone. Jimin’s smile drops off his face, and Yoongi hisses a quiet curse. At the head of the table, Namjoon can only shake his head, disappointment flooding across his features. It’s a betrayal, as far as he’s concerned, but he doesn’t want to admit that yet—doesn’t even want to acknowledge it. No one does.

Jungkook is already having a particularly terrible morning, having woken up far too early for a mandatory training exercise. The sun is shining brightly after yesterday’s storm, and he briefly thinks that you would have loved it if you were here, smiling that brilliant smile that made his heart thump erratically in his chest.

But it doesn’t matter. You’re gone, and Jungkook doesn’t expect to ever see you again. Moreover, he doesn’t want to see you again. Maybe he would have missed your presence once upon a time—but no longer. Life would be much simpler without you around.

Golden film filters through waxed lenses, the call of the silver screen itching at the canister draped to your side. Fingers slip along freshly printed scripts, your eyes following the drop of dialogue as it floats through hallowed canals. The acceleration in tempo nudges at your brain, eyes pulling inward at the uneven flow. Your hand falls to scrunched shoulders, Jeongguk glancing up at you for confirmation.

“Cut!” Audible groans follow his edged tone, extras scurrying to first position while you step toward the center, lips pursed. 

“What is it?” You’re addressed, tone clipped, by lead actress Kyung-Soon. Her lengthy hair tosses over sharp shoulders with an icy glare. You wince at the challenge, hours spent couped tensing the assemblage. 

“Your volume was a little uneven and your pace was getting choppy near the middle of your dialogue.” You speak as Jeongguk saunters over, fingers coming to pinch the bridge of his nose, the audible scoff from the center of the floor an unwelcome precursor to unscripted dramatics. “I’m sure you’ll get it if we just take five and run it again.”

“You’ve been saying that for the past hour, I don’t know what you want from me!”

Summary: You can never go to the beach without you shades. How else are you going to stare at all the boys? However, on this trip to the beach, only one boy catches your eye.

A/N: Inspired by a recent trip to the shore and all the footballs that almost hit me in the face.

Part 2: Stormy Weather (M)

Sunglasses are always a must when you go to the beach. How else are you going to discreetly check out people? And boy, are there guys to check out. You mentally thank your friends for changing it up and choosing a different beach than usual. You’re used to places frequented by families, and if you’re lucky sometimes there’ll be a decently attractive older brother or a sort of cute lifeguard.

The patrons of this beach can only be compared to the weather: hot, hot, hot.

You adjust your shades while you lean back on your towel. The umbrella you lie under wards off some of the heat, but you can’t help but feel a little regret at not joining your friends in the water. However, you are reluctant to give up your view of two very cute boys passing around a football.
