My mom has hearing loss, this morning she was washing a pot with headphones in. I tried to talk to her but she couldn't hear me through the headphones. She couldn't take off the headphones because her hands were wet, so I reached out to move them. She turned around and started screaming not to touch her. Than she started screaming at me to talk into her better hearing ear. I didn't want to get yelled out so I left.

We just had an argument she's saying that it was mean to walk away. She said that it means I don't think that she's worth the trouble of hard communication. I explained that I left because she was yelling at me. She said that I'm making fun of her disability. So reddit, AITA for walking away from my mom.
