Reddit - Tumblr Posts
I don’t know how many of you use Reddit (I try to avoid it nowadays) but r/politcalcompassmemes is a fucking cesspit and should be avoided at all costs, it’s literally just blatant lies and people who have done 0 research (so basically far right wing people) in an echo chamber of lies and propaganda. There is nothing good to come out of that sub. Idk how long it’s been like that but there’s some warning to avoid it. Like it’s not even political compass memes, it’s just political but also just specifically right wing? Like K get Tumblr is heavily left wing in nature but you can find the odd right wing person and they’re often accepted, but I have yet to see a single left wing person who wasn’t sitting at -1K likes or something, it’s like a hivemind lmao…oh, right, Reddit is a literal hivemind.
This is so simple and really important to new users PLEASE JUST USE A BLACKLIST ITS SO EASY
me: i don’t want to see jellyfish so i will blacklist the tag #jellyfish
people with no common sense: je11yf1sh, je11¥fi5h, j*llyf*sh, je//ÿf!sh, j3ï||yf¡sh, gel lee fisk
result: cannot account for the sheer amount of possible ways to alter the word jellyfish
conclusion: i have to see jellyfish now.
Once again, tumblr is not tiktok, tag properly.

Reddit wins this one
[Image ID: post from Reddit thread r/thelastofus titled "When is a gay relationship on screen not "political propoganda?""
Post reads: "It's the same criticism I see levied at the last episode over and over again. "I'm fine with gay people, but keep politics out of my entertainment."
I'm genuinely curious. How in the holy hell is a gay relationship pictured on screen inherently "political?"
It's maddening man. I'd prefer they just come out and say what they're actually thinking."
User catnap_kismet replies: "there are two sexualities, straight and political. there are two genders, male and political. there are two races, white and political. etc".
This reply has many awards and 1.2k upvotes

So I commented on a thread in the KF subreddit about the roof glitch (where you can glitch to the roof of KFAM, pretty cool glitch) and someone recognized my Reddit username from an earlier post and was like
Commenter: wow you must really like this game, I see you everywhere on this subreddit
And I was just like
Me: if like two pieces of fanart and some discussion threads is “really liking” this game, my tumblr would convince you I’m nuts
When I browse Reddit, I like taking screenshots of conversations for whenever I'm down and need a little chuckle.

Dear Reddit and Twitter refugees:
You've probably already been told to change your icon, post and reblog stuff you like, Tumblr has holidays, etc.
But in case you weren't aware before....
When AO3 (Archive of Our Own) goes down for any reason, Tumblr flips the fuck out and panics. AO3 starts trending almost immediately.
Do NOT try to calm your neighbors down! Panicking with them until AO3 goes back up is the correct course of action.
Thank you and have a day.

Ya know one thing I find pretty interesting about social media, Especially reddit is that despite the internet's sometimes prudish nature I feel like most of the horny sides to these platforms are more wholesome and caring than pretty much any other part of their respective websites. I guess as kids were sort of told that sexuality is unpure by nature and we lose the fact that these people are doing this because it's fun and it feels good that all their is to it its not any deeper than that. Obviously their are the bad ones like the pedophilic ones but those are the outliers and most of these communities are pretty nice I would say.
I think the issue with relationship subs is that no matter how many details you give them they never gonna have as much context on the situation as you do. so it thousand of the most unqualified people who are usually VERY easily persuaded by what other people are saying in the comments. Like these people aren't consulers and like that one twitter post about 12 people watching what you do like and irl twitch stream just imagine sitting solo in a huge arena with thousand of people just yelling relationship advice at you, it really puts things into perspective.
The best thing that about reddit it how easily things in the comments can change subject like someone posted spongebob meme in a comments section and someone turned it into a lesbian sex meme. Also someone then replied with the SESBIAN LEX image, I just love the internet sometimes
