But like it drives me literally insane that Aizawa Shouta, the pro hero Eraserhead is an amalgamation of everyone he has ever loved. Like the three people we know mean the most to him are the people that literally made him into the Hero he is today.

Like Yamada named him Eraserhead his literal identity(he literally would have gone nameless if he didn’t), Shirakumo gave him his goggles( the most signature thing about him besides the capture weapon) and taught him how to believe in himself and Midnight put him up for his job at U.A which given his implied isolation after Oboro’s death might have literally saved his life, as mentoring these kids and watching them grow seems to be his main driving force.

Hizashi gave him identity, Nemuri gave him his passion, and even before his death Oboro gave him courage. He is who he is because he knew them. It’s so subtle but it literally makes me feral. He is the literal embodiment of their love. 😭😭.

There’s something to be said about the fact that since the first chapter we met him Yuuji has been preparing to die. It has been this huge terrifying thing looming over his head, every new friend a person he will have to leave behind. And he takes it on as bravely as he can. We watched him grapple with the fact that his death will be just another cog in the machine and he had to except that and he said you know what then I’m gonna be the smoothest running cog you ever did see.. itadori Yuuji doesn’t want too but he was ready to die, he DID die twice!. And then Sukuna leaves and the higher ups are dead. He is suddenly thrust into a world where he’s not next in line at the execution block. Suddenly Yuuji has a future and that’s not something he prepared for, especially not the one he’s left with. a dead mentor with no body to mourn, one best friend dead, the other halfway there and a Sensei he believes with every fiber of his being is the strongest just lost to his number 1 tormentor. The dude his death was supposed to protect the world from. This is Yuuji’s worst nightmare come to life because all this time he has been preparing to leave his friends behind for them to mourn himnot once did it cross his mind that he’d be the one left behind, that he’d be the one to mourn them. Itadori Yuuji was prepared to die and and it was okay because he was doing something good, something that could protect the world and now, in his mind, he failed cause sukuna is loose again and gojo is dead, nobara is dead, nanami is dead, megumi is possessed and halfway there and he wasn’t prepared to grieve. He’s been thrown into a world where his life doesn’t have an expiration date and all his friends are dead and there’s nothing left but a promise he can no longer keep to his grandfather.

And It drives me literally insane.
