Some of the greatest artists in history only got recognized for their brilliance long after they died. They were not recognized at the time for various reasons, but know that being trendy isn't what makes you a good artist.

make art because you love to create, not because you like the attention you get from appeasing a crowd. If everyone made art that only exists to be trendy or attract a crowd, we wouldn't have anything unique in this world.
