Day 11 - Spotil Plant

Still getting back into the swing of things with Inktober. Thought I'd try something simple. What's more simple than a plant to draw? XD So yeah. This, is a fictional plant. The Spotil. Its fruit is the staple food of Buddy World, basically their potato. They eat it all the time, it's versatile and can be made into all sorts of dishes, from Mashed Spotil to Fried Spotil Slices or strips. It can be stuffed, boiled, or just eaten raw! So yeah. That's the Spotil for you. XD It actually tastes a bit like an apple when it's raw, but its consistency is more potato-ish. Kinda a mix actually but when you cook it I think it becomes a little more potato-y. So yeah. XD Confusing but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

Day 12 - Nola

So I actually made this two days ago for Inktober but I was like agh this is terrible I can't submit this... eAe But just now I was looking at my sketchbook and went you know what, this is Inktober and I'm 8 days behind. I need something to beef up my drawing count anyway! XD So here it is. Feel like the day system is completely dishonest. I feel like I should call it like, drawing 12 instead of day 12 but that still wouldn't work since technically it came before the other two. >3> But whatever. Have a Nola. She's from the RP I'm doing with CC and Dia and Sword. She can manipulate plants and stuff so I was like OH WAIT putting wind in the picture is misleading, that's Echoe's power. XD So I put a random flower there last minute to kinda compensate. XDD Yeah... anyway bai.

Ril'siiya

Yay finally a good picture of Ril'siiya. 8D I've been developing her a lot lately, she's my new pet project. XD Umm... Where to start with her. She's from my Aliens series, from the race of the Gaediens. Specifically she's a Vyren, which are plant Gaediens. She's the best friend of Sz'nami, who is the fourth main character of Aliens. Umm... I'll explain about her later I guess? XD Maybe I need another blog for Aliens blarg. Anyway. Yeah. So Ril'siiya developed into this hyper, chattery, spunky... thing. XD Who annoys everybody except Sz'nami. She is very proud of her Vyren-Gaedien heritage and culture, and is very bold and brash. She has no filter between her head and her mouth, so she's always saying things that are either embarrassing or insulting. XD Overall she strikes me as the stereotypical Spanish/Mexican girl, and she even has a Spanish-sounding accent (though actually I'm not entirely sure it would be Spanish XD it just sounds Spanish to me in my head). Soo yeah. I think that about covers it. More to come on Vyrens... Maybe. XD Someday, I dunno.

Day 5 - Eriol

Hey look, it's actually one of my characters. XD So yeah. About an hour of photoshop crashes later... eAe Sheesh, I was considering just dumping an unedited thing up here it was so bad eAE Probably need to restart PC or something... Anyway! So yeah. This... is Eriol. Did something a little different from the others as far as traditional goes, and that is to say I didn't do any major digital overhauling aside from a bit of cleanup and adding a texture overlay on top. And no color. XD Yeah that's a first... Since I did a lot of hatching/shading traditionally with this one, I figured color would just be redundant. So yeah. A true pen drawing this time. That time of the morning when everything is blue, and the sun is still sleeping. When the clock reads 5 AM, but in your mind it's 7. When all is quiet, and the rush of the day has yet to begin. As I sit on my bed looking about the quiet room, it occurs to me that there's Something I need to do. Before the rush of day begins, before my mind becomes clouded with other thoughts, there's just one thing I need to do. Standing, I lift my arms, and hum quietly a tune. Yes, this is what I need to do. The Maker's made a new day for me to be alive, and I need to thank him before I head off to start it... So... Guess what happens when I'm listening to worship music late at night. XD Yeeep. This happens. I wanted to make a series of my chars worshiping... Or actually how this started was a year ago I made this like super super undetalied light just-lines-on-a-paper not-even-a-sketch of like all my mains at the time worshiping, and wanted to turn it into this giant pic in photoshop, but that never happened. So now I got inspired with worship and drew... one char. XD Hey that's something, right? So yeah maybe I'll make it a series, maybe I won't. Anyway this is Jasmine, from Crossroads. And my idea was early in the morning worshiping, that kinda thing. Woke up too early, maybe, and decided to spend a little time with the Maker before she had to get ready for the day. That's the thing about Jas I'm noticing that keeps happening, she starts the day off right but then something has a tendency to go horribly wrong later in the day. XD Funny about that there. So yeah...

Day 3 - Magpie

So I had this idea to draw one of Dia's chars, Maggie, with a magpie but she hasn't finished drawing her yet so imma wait on that... in the meantime, I had a reference of a magpie up so I drew it. XD Hence thing. Coloring = prisma-markers again plus digital edit (messed up the coloring and ink on the bird XD; and the twig. I redid the wood/branch thing in digital as well because that was also poorly done in the trad)
