"No, no, no," Keith pleaded, tears threatening to break the dams he'd constructed in his eyes - he didn't cry, yet here he was, a sobbing mess. "Please, Mark! It's me, bear..." His voice broke, a sob tearing from his throat like a war cry.

Uncharacteristically, Keith's eyes welled with tears. Those were the words he'd so desperately needed to hear for so long, he just wanted to be loved for who he was. His shoulders trembled as the tears fell, sobs teetering on the edge.
"Thank you," he whispered through them, pulling Mark into his arms and burying his face against the other's chest. "Stars, thank you, Mark..."
Keith took her hand, smiling down at her. "Let's get those sweets!" He seemed to be full of energy today, and happy for once. His moods had improved since taking on the responsibilities of looking after Ritzell, and the whole team was starting to notice.
He mulled over the possible meanings of his middle name while they shopped, he'd have to ask Krolia the next time he saw her, if it even had a meaning at all. Slipping a few things into the basket on his arm for her, Keith stared, bewildered at the prices. They were so low. He'd have to make a note of this place in the Castle's computer systems.
"Looking for anything in particular, Ritz?"
