Yes! Raven Take What Rest He Can Where He Can. You Can Find Him Just Sitting Down Somewhere, Taking A
Yes! Raven take what rest he can where he can. You can find him just sitting down somewhere, taking a nap for an hour or two, before going back to adventuring. That's said, he only sleep in big chunk when surrounded by allies or safe in his house, or trusted inns. Otherwise he get his 8h of sleep in multiple naps.
Is your WoL one of those people who can fall asleep anywhere?

Adding my two cent to it.
I see soul like rock. They are what you are at your core. And as you live, all your experience create a crust around it, and it's this whole rock and crust the make a person. When you die your rock get tossed back in the sea. The rock may have kept a very very small part of the crust that will carry over. But it's nothing significant. The more the rock get incarnated, the more it grow, and the bigger/stronger/higher life it can have.
Now. You get plenty of rock. And they all get broken into piece. They smaller now. And slowly, as they get incarnarted, they grow again. But for all they were once piece of the whole, they are not a piece. They are just smaller soul. And even if you managed to gather all the soul that used to be one, they all grew and don't fit anymore. You would need to fill and grind them down to make them fit, and even then it would be imperfect.
All to say... we're not Azem either. We're souls of Azem, but not an Azem. I would like scions to have an ascians self. But these ascian self are to our wol what our parents are to us. We may have gotten some habit from them, some personnality... but we're not them.
I strongly prefer it when the Scions *don't* have Ancient counterparts.
I think it means more if they're part of the new souls born to the star either after Zodiark's first summoning or after the Sundering. Which is a whole thing!
Importantly, those were the souls that the Convocation were going to sacrifice to Zodiark to bring back the Ancients they lost.
To me, I think it's vastly important that G'raha, Y'shtola, Urianger, Thancred, the twins, that all of them are people Emet-Selch would throw away without a second thought. That to him, you're the only one worth half a damn... And broken as you are, only half a damn. And before he lets himself accept that you really are what's left of Azem, you're just someone else he's convinced isn't a person.
But I think these are the very souls Azem left the Convocation to save, even if Azem still didn't want to break the world. And these are the souls that Venat and the Twelve did break the world to save.
To me that's so much more important than any reincarnation romance (much as I adore that kind of story too). That to Azem and to you, these people matter anyway.
Lore-wise, he like them fine, but in small doses. The frequent, but relatively short contact his people have with them, when they come trade in the valleys of the Fanged Crescent, suit him just fine. They seem to talk a lot, and be noisy, but they are decent neighboor, and they never had cause for conflict between his people and them.
All in all, no strong opinions either way, they live their lives and he live his own.
What do your WoL think about namazus?

Raven tend to show platonic affection to adult with food and warm drink. Like little snack, or drink while they working, or training. Or maybe mending gears, or bringing useful thing, be it tomes, information or better gear. With younger friend, like Alphinaud or Alisaie, he add physical affection, generally hugs, and side hugs. But that's more familial affection.

How does your wol(oc) show platonic affection?
Had a chat with a friend of mine concerning the contemporary FFXIV community. They've experienced quite the influx of rude and uncooperative players on their server. Now, I can't speak for mine because I've only kept my sub alive to log in every month to keep an FC up until the leader decides to return, but I wonder if more people have experienced the same my friend has.
reminder to worldbuilders: don't get caught up in things that aren't important to the story you're writing, like plot and characters! instead, try to focus on what readers actually care about: detailed plate tectonics
