Raven hairs tips shifted to white, his shole hair gradually whitening, slightly glowing. His eyes shifted from gold to blue, until it was nearly white. When Ardbert fused with him, it's eyes stabilized in teal, and his hair retained their black color. That's for the more obvious physical change.
He became even more silent as the light corrupted him. But not because he was listening and observing. It became harder and harder to focus, white noise buzzing louder and louder in his horns, white snows obscuring his sight, and a dull pain suffusing his body. He goes trough the flow, thankfully mainly managing to parse what people wanted from immediate context. He did miss whole conversation, not managing to focus properly. But he mainly hide it behind his stoicism. He was very aware of what happened to him, but he pusjed through. Because he had a duty and was needed.
During Shadowbringers, how did the light corruption after slaying the Lightwardens effect your WoL?
Male Raen. Because dragon are cool. Also horns are cool And I wanted somewhat cool/fierce aesthetic. Didn't like the Xaelas flavor text, who limited how I could roleplay it, and edgy scales color.
I started with a girl, didn't like the cute aesthetic, in addition to being short, switched over to male. Put the heightslider to max, discovere once in game that this race has height dismorphism.
What race is your WoL and what made you choose it?
Depend when we count out first encounter with them.
If when reaper Zenos came, it was something like "fuck not him again. Well, here we go again. And he got a voidsent too, because of course he does"
If we count in the court of Troïa when still under their bound form it was more: "that's Zenos voidsent. Fuck! I'm never to be free from this one, do I?"
If once they got human form back, and we actually get a conversation with them: "A bit weird, but sensible. Honorable to, bound to her words."
What was your WoL's first reaction to Zero?
There is two Raen clan living in the Fanged Crescent. The Tsubasa raise the best falcons, and the Starhunters hunt treasure. Or as the Tsubasa said to describe Starhunter : "the curiosity of a crow and the obsession of a magpie".
Raven is definitely a Starhunter, always searching for the next places to explore, and the next beast to discover. He's a traveler to heart, who enjoy testing his martial prowess and learn new thing. There is nothing that would make him complete. He's already complete, and already reached his goals to be free to explore the wolrld.
Thought if people could just chill out two minute, and just live peacefully without starting stpid shit, that's would be so much better. He could actually explore in peace.
I wanna get to know your WoL(s).
What's a end goal you have for your WoL? As in what's something you feel will help make your WoL complete?
Not exactly a pacifist. Many people died in battle against him. Mainly Gaelans and slavers. Bandits are hit or miss. Sometimes he knock them out, others he kill them. Depend of their crimes. There is a few people he's very annoyed to not have been allowed to kill. He defered to the scions or powers politics, but he's not happy about it.
As for monsters, he don't go out to kill them, but if they attack him, or he get paid to hunt them, he will kill them.
There is little difference between killing people or monsters. They're the same. Either he need to kill them, or they actively hurt his people.

Is your WoL’s kill count the same as ingame? Or are they a pacifist? How do they feel about killing monsters vs killing people?
He's called a translated version of his name because the echo omnimingual don't know when to stop. Also, while I already knew his family name, I had no idea what name to give, so I just stuck a V in between Raen, and tada, a personal name.
What did you name your WoL, and what made you choose that name?
Lancer and archer, as was his original training in his clan, but it's the art of Warrior, Samourai and Ninja that he picked up since coming to Eorza.
What classes do you consider canon for your WoL?
Short bang, long hair, braided low. Long hair are common among his people, and a testament of skills. If you have long hair this mean you can afford to have something so easily grabbable. That's and vanity. Long hair are a form of status too, since you can afford to take care of it.
An adult with short or very short hair is not well viewed at all. Especially if it seem to have been shorn very short. This mean they did something, like cowardice, treatorous or criminal.
Children generally have shoulder length hair.
How does your WoL wear their hair?
Look wise, he changed his hair from the wild mane of before, to short bang and long braid. Due to the light corruption, his eyes aural ling shifted from gold to teal, and his hair tip are being tainted blue or green,o stead of the old red.
Personnality wise, he gained a lot of experience and is no longer the young adventurer who came to Eorza. He is calmer, more focused. Weirdly enough, he is even more stoïc than before, but with a lot less of being confused. He also has a better grasp of his curiosity, and less likely to accidentally offend someone with his question. To better choose who to ask, and to keep his own counsel the rest of the time.(Skin tone and miquo'te are touchy in Gridania)(He also learnt to not question too overtly question elementals)
While an accomplished lancer and archer when coming to Eorza, he's now know as fearsome warrior, samourai and ninja.
He learnt how to read eorzan common and garlemaldian along the way. And a few more forgotten langage, like void script, due to exposure with the scions.
How has your WoL changed from ARR to Endwalker? Personality, looks, etc?
They do not and they do not.
It's very likely that he will father some with some gay clanmate, but he wouldn't be a father, more the godfather/uncle to these kids.
He certainly going to take an heir to train and teach later, but that still a decade of two out yet.
Does your WoL have children? Do they want any?
I guess their height? He's very tall for an au'ra, so you pick him out of the crowd. Otherwise his eyes and facial marking. His eyes are pitch black, while the limbal ring are electric blue, and the tiger facial paint is the same color as his scales, giving the illusion of a lot of facial scales coverage.
I have had a less than ideal afternoon and so I head to bed with a wol question for you all ✨
what is your wol/oc's defining feature!
is it their hair or perhaps their eyes? the way they stand? what detail is it that makes you go "ah yes, that's them alright"
With the amount of time he spent ourside and with chocobo, he generally smell slightly of sweat, dust, animals, and whatver vegetation is in his location. But when among civilization he smell of wood and lavender, from his wood work and his soap.
hey you! its good to see you! I have a silly little wol question for ya!
what does your wol/oc smell like?
is it a perfume or cologne? perhaps the lingering smells of a hobby or battle? perhaps a specific flower? or maybe they just really smell like that old bottle of midnight pomegranate body spray you got from bath and body works back in 2010?
Raven first encountered them in Bozja. He wondered if they were to the miquo'te what the Kyojin were to the Sui-Raen. Then he was just happy to have another remace that was a decent size. No need to crane hos neck so much done. He don't really make the difference between Helion and Lost. Maybe a bit wary of Lost that were exiled, hailling frop clannic culture himself.

How does your WOL feel about Hrothgar? Do their interactions differ between Helion and Lost? Do they have a bias for or against one versus the other? What was their first impression of the race? How did that interaction go?

Raven do not have sibling. It is... not something talked a lot about. Being raised communally in the villages, he is the somewhat strange but cool older brother of the kids of his clan, and now the cool and heroic uncle.
His parents, and whole clan is still around. He can't go home or even send letters home often enough, what with the whole... scions thing, and also the difficulty of secrecy when surroundibg territory of his clan are under Garlemald thumb, but he does regularly encounter his clanmates who took mercenary or merchant path. They try to gather when they can, and everyone is aware of the others in their area. So when they pass through an area where other Starhunters are they go say hello. It's also a time to pass letters and money to send back home to the merchants.
Both of his parents are ex-Starhunter, having settled their wanderlust in their youth, and become Tsubasa when settlibg in the villge to start a family. His father was a itinirant blacksmith, and also have skill in leather working. He's quite handy with a blade, and a good hunter. His mother is better with a lance, and worked as a wandering peddler. She's now a seamstress. Both taught him at least the basic of their craft, so he could upkeep his gear and weapon.
Still trying to crawl my way back into XIV so here's a simple WoL/OC question - their families! What are they like? Do they have any siblings? Are their parents still around? Are they still in touch? Just anything really
I'll add onto this with Kiyo's when I'm not trapped at work
If you want a real answer... black. But I'm regularly changing my limbal ring. Originally gold, then gradually white in shadowbribger, they are now teal, sometime green, sometimes blue.
So canonically gold -> white -> teal
What is your wol's eye color?

Yes! Raven take what rest he can where he can. You can find him just sitting down somewhere, taking a nap for an hour or two, before going back to adventuring. That's said, he only sleep in big chunk when surrounded by allies or safe in his house, or trusted inns. Otherwise he get his 8h of sleep in multiple naps.
Is your WoL one of those people who can fall asleep anywhere?
Raven is diligent. Martial training are important. He has been drilled in the lance and bow for as long as he can remember, and honestly it's part of his routine now to spend an hour drilling his form. He generally does his drill morning and evening, before eating.
Is your WoL diligent about training? Or do they tend to slack off?
Lore-wise, he like them fine, but in small doses. The frequent, but relatively short contact his people have with them, when they come trade in the valleys of the Fanged Crescent, suit him just fine. They seem to talk a lot, and be noisy, but they are decent neighboor, and they never had cause for conflict between his people and them.
All in all, no strong opinions either way, they live their lives and he live his own.
What do your WoL think about namazus?

Raven tend to show platonic affection to adult with food and warm drink. Like little snack, or drink while they working, or training. Or maybe mending gears, or bringing useful thing, be it tomes, information or better gear. With younger friend, like Alphinaud or Alisaie, he add physical affection, generally hugs, and side hugs. But that's more familial affection.

How does your wol(oc) show platonic affection?
Scales are sensitive to pressure and to heat, but differently than their skin.
They are neutral on their tail. Like those who grab them randomly would get a look and a "Excuse me?". You know the one that telle you better stop what you're doing and apologize. A bit amused if it's a kid or someone altered (the drunk/drugged that don't really mean any harm). They let friends play with it. Ajax is the worse at it, she fidget and twirl is tail if he's close when thinking or reading.
It does not like people touching his horns. He hate light touches, as they send a ghost over his perception and it resonate oddly. He tolerate firm touch when needed, like healing, where it just muffle his hearing and "cover" his spatial awareness. Only the base of his horns are innervate enough to register pressure and heat. So he doesn't "feel" if someone grab his horn without putting enough strength to tug them, he hear them.
He does, like majority of au ra, love when someone scrap their horns against his. Hornless loved one rasp their knuckles, or head against it. It's intimate, send a echo in his horns, make him shiver. A small bonk is less intimate but just as affectionate.
