I Can't Wait For Sonogram Your Sweet Bean!
I can't wait for sonogram your sweet bean! đ€

I could hardly wait either, but here they are!!
Update on me: Still feeling yucky all the time. Itâs hard to do much other than sit on the couch and watch Netflix most days. I am taking medicine for the nausea, and it helps, but Iâm still wiped out most of the day. On days I feel good, I write! Thereâs some good stuff coming soon....
Update on baby: They are fantastic so far. Healthy, as far as the doctor can tell. I cried when I heard their little heartbeat for the first time.
The only part Iâm upset about is the fact that my partner was not allowed in the hospital room with me due to COVID restrictions, which I understand... but at the same time, it hurt my heart. He was pretty disappointed he couldnât hear the babyâs heartbeat or see them on the sonogram. He is as much of a parent to this child as I am, plus heâs been the best partner ever, he deserves to at least hear his kidâs heartbeat at least once, right? :(
Love all you kuties!! <3 <3 <3

Hey everyone,
So I havenât gotten any requests đŹ So Iâm going to open up requests indefinitely until I become overwhelmed or need a break again.
Weâll see though, this tumblrâs traction has really died down đ Itâs my own fault since I took such a long break without posting anything.
200 Kuties Milestone Event
Helllooooo kutie pies!
I have some exciting news! IâVE REACHED 200 FOLLOWERS!!
I am HECKA grateful. I didnât know anyone would like my writing so much, let alone 200 people. I appreciate all the comments, the reads, and the support Iâve received over the past year and a half since I started this blog. You all are amazing, and I purple you so hard đ

To show my thanks for being such uh-maze-ing kuties, I am opening requests for the rest of October! I know, I know, I still have a couple of unfulfilled requests, and trust me, I am working on them. Slowly, but surely. I promise I will get to your requests as quickly as possible. My schedule has opened up drastically (meaning my little one takes long naps now lol) and Iâve got the itch to write!
Submit a request here! You may choose from my Prompt List if you wish. One-shots or Drabbles only, but I reserve the right to turn them into a series if I feel inspired! đ A reminder about my request rules: No abuse, no weapons, nothing with minors. Everything else is pretty much free game (gimme ALL the kinks)! If I find your request potentially controversial, I simply wonât do it or ask you to edit then resubmit it.
 BUT WAIT.
Thereâs more.
I am also opening up requests for Tomorrow x Together One-Shots and Drabbles. Thatâs right, MOA, time to shine!
I have followed Tomorrow x Together since their debut, and find all of the members absolutely adorable. The only thing I ask is that since they are a younger group, no smut requests, just fluff, romance, and/or angst please! Iâve added them to my Master List, and am so excited to write fics about them. They are such a fun, inspiring group. I canât wait!
Thank you once more, and submit those requests!
Much love,
Kutemouse
Caught (Part Two)

Disclaimers: All âSave Meâ webtoon and BTS MV/highlight reel/film references and plots belong to BTS and BigHit. All pictures of Kim Taehyung belong to BTS and BigHit, I just edited them for my header. The picture of BTS came from Vogue Japan, I just edited it for my header.
A Note from Kutemouse: Hey all! Thank you so much for your patience. I am feeling a lot better now. Hopefully, I stay healthy and energized until the next baby comes around đ I am nearing 200 followers and am considering opening requests again as a massive âThank you for continuing to follow me despite my slow af updatesâ đ Look out for an announcement in that regard!
Age Recommendation: 21+ (this is NOT one for youngsters, kuties, and is MOST DEFINITELY NSFW)
Genre: Mafia!AU w/ BTS, Yandere!BTS, Yandere!Taehyung
Warnings: As always, swears. Taehyung drugged Y/n like the ass he is. Super sexy daddy Taehyung. Restraints are used. LOTS of dialogue (sorry, not sorry!). Taehyung is kind of a matured version of a fuckboy? Begging. Yeonjun doesnât give a damn. Bargaining. Negotiations. Taehyung has blackmail pics of sexual acts on his phone. Y/n considers staking Taehyung (I would too, tbh). Taeâs pretty forceful and we discover he *may or may not* have a choking kink.
To be clear, there is no actual sex in this part. No non-con. Nothing too crazy⊠yet đ

Caught (Taehyung Series, Yandere, Smut, Angst) Part Two ~ The Proposal
Soft thoughts floated through my consciousness, rousing me slowly from slumber. âIs it morning already? Whereâs Chanwook? This doesnât smell like my room.â
With a groan, I opened my eyes, something heavy and large pounding through my head.
âWelcome back, baby girl.â
My eyes darted to the figure sitting in front of me, hands clasped together, elbows resting on his knees. My entire body jerked away from him when I realized I wasnât going anywhere any time soon. Both hands and feet were secured with zip ties to the chair I was in. âDamn you, Kim Taehyung!â I grunted, my speech slightly slurred.
He merely chuckled, tapping a long finger against his bottom lip. âItâs just a precaution. Canât have you getting away, now can we?â
âWhat the hell do you want?â I spat.
He leaned forward, the flickering light from the nearby fireplace catching on his sharp jawline. âIsnât it obvious?â
I narrowed my eyes in response.
Taehyung stood, circling my chair until he was out of sight. âI want to make up for lost time, baby girl. I missed you.â
I couldnât help the scoff that made its way past my lips. âI obviously didnât miss you!â
He suddenly reappeared at the corner of my vision, causing me to whip my head around. Gripping my chin between his thumb and forefinger, he loomed menacingly over me. âI know you didnât,â he growled. âNo visits, no letters⊠the entire time I was in prison, I kept waiting for something from you.â
âSo thatâs what this is about,â I snapped, squirming out of his grip. âRevenge. You want to make me suffer for leaving you behind and living my own life.â
Taehyung slammed a large hand on the back of the chair, making me jump. âEnough!â
He leaned down until his inky eyes were level with mine, boring a hole straight through my soul. âYouâre here for my pleasure, baby. Nothing more, nothing less.â
âLet me go.â
âNo.â
âTaehyung, please!â My tone, no longer snarky, was laced instead with sheer and utter panic.
âPlease let me go,â I begged. âI have people who will be worried about me, people who will send the police to come looking for me.â
âNo you donât,â Taehyung said, holding up my phone with a smirk. âA few texts and a couple of social media posts here and there should keep them away.â
My heart sank as I realized the extent of his words. âTaehyung, please,â I said, desperately throwing what shreds of my dignity I had left out the window. âJust let me go. Iâm sorry I didnât write to you while you were in prison, okay? That was wrong of me.â
The corner of his mouth twitched as he leered down at me. âAs if that will be enough to satisfy me,â he growled. âYou owe me, Y/n.â
âThen tell me what you fucking want! To scare me?! Youâve already accomplished that. To teach me a lesson?! Consider this lesson learned!â
I glared up at him defiantly. âIf money is what youâre really after, my fiancĂš will pay good money to get me back.â
Taehyung laughed, his sinister chuckles reverberating off the walls. âDo I look like I need money?â he asked, gesturing around. Even in the dim firelight, I could tell the room we were in was large, the floors richly carpeted, the furniture rich and expensive. I gaped at my former lover in disbelief. Back in our school days, Taehyung could barely afford to take me on a date let alone afford a place like this. Then again, I didnât know where I was. What if it was all a ruse?
Taehyung knelt in front of me before reaching a hand out, causing me to flinch. âIâm not going to hurt you,â he murmured, tenderly stroking a strand of hair away from my face. âDonât you get it, Y/n? I donât want money or revenge, or to teach you a lesson. What I want most⊠is you.â
I shied away from his touch, my eyes widening, my throat closing up. My next words came out in a choked whisper. âBut why?â
Taehyung shook his head, dark hair falling into his eyes, a smirk spreading over his lips. âEnough. Hereâs my offer, Y/n. You will stay with me for one year. 365 days, to be exact. If you still want to go back to your old life after that year, Iâll let you go. HoweverâŠâ
He trailed off, allowing what he was saying to sink in. I immediately began shaking my head, but he stopped my protests with a finger over my lips. âHowever,â he continued, his tone more forceful. âIf you choose to stay, you may stay.â
I pulled back as if his finger had burned me. âI will never choose to stay,â I spat.
Taehyung shrugged his shoulders. âHave it your way. But just so you know, that year begins only when you agree to my proposal⊠not a moment sooner.â
âWhat if I refuse to agree?â
He smirked. âThen youâll be in this room for a long time, wonât you baby girl?â
Anger bubbled up beneath my skin, causing my limbs to shake. âFuck you, Kim Taehyung!â
His smirk only grew. âOnly if youâre good.â
He turned on his heel and exited out a door, throwing light over his silhouette for a brief moment before he closed it behind him. I screamed for help until my throat was raw, but no one came. I wondered if anyone could even hear me.
After a few hours, exhaustion overtook me, and despite my best efforts to stay awake, I began to nod off, my head lolling back against the chair.
ÆžÌ”ÌĄÓ̔̚ÌÆ·
âMiss Park?â a voice said, bringing me out of sleep. I opened my eyes and blinked a few times. Glancing around, I found myself in a spacious bedroom with lavish furniture and a large, smoldering fireplace. Sunlight streamed in through large windows that graced one wall of the room, overlooking a large courtyard.
I was tied to a high-backed chair upholstered in soft, red fabric, a similar chair where Taehyung had sat only hours before in front of me. âMiss Park?â the voice asked again, and I glanced sideways to see Yeonjun standing there, a tray in his hands.
He smiled a bit. âGlad to see youâre awake. I have breakfast for you.â
âI donât want it,â I immediately said.
âTrust me, itâs not been tampered with,â he said, setting the tray on a nearby empty desk. He picked up a piece of toast and bit into it. âSee?â
âFine,â I sighed. âBut what about these restraints? I canât exactly eat with my hands tied.â
Yeonjun pulled out a switchblade, flicking it open. I flinched and shut my eyes before feeling the sudden release of pressure around my wrists and ankles. I pried open my eyelids to see that Yeonjun had cut the zip ties off, angry red marks left where theyâd cut into my skin.
He led me to the desk, sitting me down in the chair behind it. âEat,â he ordered.
I reluctantly took a bit, chewing slowly. There were no funny tastes or smells, no indication that any of it was poisoned or tampered with. I realized I hadnât eaten since yesterday morning. Hunger overtook my senses, and I ravenously finished every bite.
âGlad you liked it,â Yeonjun remarked, taking the tray and empty dishes.
I grabbed hold of his arm just before he walked away. âYeonjun, please,â I pleaded. âHelp me. Let me go.â
âSorry, Miss Park,â he said, shrugging me off. âThat wonât be possible.â
âPlease!â I shouted, my voice hoarse as he shut and locked the door firmly behind him.
At least he didnât tie me up again. I glanced around, looking for anything I could use as a weapon or method of escape. Nothing sharp was in immediate reach, but maybe I could smash a piece of furniture, make a stake of some sort?
I picked up a small wooden stool, intent on throwing it as hard as I could when the sound of the lock clicking made me freeze.
The door suddenly flew open and I dropped the stool, the clatter softened by the carpet. Unfortunately for me, Taehyungâs sharp eyes caught everything. âNone of that now, baby girl,â his deep lilt rumbled. He kicked the stool even farther away from me, clicking his tongue tauntingly.
âFuck you, Taehyung,â I muttered, refusing to look at him.
He stepped close in front of me, his dark eyes drawing me in despite the hate surging beneath my skin. âMaybe later,â he said, his tone teasing. âBut for now, I just want to know if youâve thought any more about my proposal.â
âI have. The answer is, and always will be, no.â
Taehyung smirked. âIf you say so.â
He stood and began circling me the same way he had last night. I couldnât help the way my eyes slid over his well-dressed figure, trying to size him up. Black slacks hugged his calves and thighs, setting off his Italian leather shoes nicely, leading up to a belt hugging the curve of his waist. Taehyungâs collared shirt was also black, loosely unbuttoned at the neck, with sleeves pushed up to his elbows exposing sun-kissed skin. Rings decorated his large hands, and his dark, curly hair spilled over his eyes like heâd just woken up.
My disgusted consciousness snapped me back to reality, making me shake my head a few times.
âFine, Iâll play your game,â Taehyung said suddenly. âIâll sweeten the deal. As youâve noticed, Iâm quite well-off. So, as a thank-you for your cooperation, Iâll buy you a gift of your choice. Money is no object.â
âI donât want a gift,â I snapped. âI want you to let me go.â
âOh, come now,â he taunted, once again stepping close to me and placing his hands on my shoulders. The warmth from his palms sank through my blouse into my skin.
âThere has to be something you want. A designer outfit? An all-expenses paid trip?â
âI donât want anything but my freedom,â I protested, shrugging out of his grip. âTaehyung, you canât just buy me off like that, Iâm not some object that you own! You canât just kidnap me and make me yours!â
âI know that,â he retorted. âThatâs why Iâm giving you a year. I want you to fall back in love with me because you want to, not because youâre forced to.â
âI donât want to fall back in love with you. Iâve got my own life, Taehyung! A fiancĂ©, a family, friends!â
Taehyungâs face screwed up in disgust. âYour fiancĂ© is a piece of shit,â he spat. âDo you know what heâs been doing while youâve been working late nights trying to obtain your dreams?â
I shook my head, my mouth parting in disbelief. âYouâre lying.â
âThese pictures donât lie,â Taehyung said, opening his phone and shoving it toward me. Displayed on the screen was Chanwook, your supposedly loving fiancĂ©, drilling into a woman you didnât recognize from behind. His face was contorted in pleasure, sweat dripping down his naked torso. That wasnât even the worst part, though. Shock shuddered through your veins as you recognized your penthouse apartment, your bed, one of your engagement photos standing upright on the night table next to the couple.
Taehyung gently took his phone back. âThere are more, but I donât think you want to see them,â he murmured. âHe doesnât deserve you.â
âFuck off,â I muttered, turning away from him.
âI really am sorry.â He reached out a finger and tenderly stroked my cheek.
âI said, fuck off!â I shouted, slapping his hand away.
With a low growl, Taehyung shoved me backward, causing me to land with a yelp on the bed. He crawled over me, one hand snaking around my throat, the other gripping my wrist, pinning me down. He pressed a knee between my legs, pushing against my center. I instinctively leaned back, trying to get as far away from him as I could, exposing all the skin of my neck to him. He trailed his lips lightly over my jaw, his hand around my throat squeezing briefly before wandering down, lingering over my breast, landing on my waist and squeezing there.
My breath came out in short, panicked gasps, my eyes watering from the possibility of what was to come. Fear clenched my heart, but at the same time, a small part of me wanted to succumb. His scent drifted over me, taking me back to the days we used to do this willingly, hours upon hours spent wrapped around each other under the sheets in endless pleasure. It didnât help that he still wore the same cologne. I used to worship that smell, stealing Taehyungâs clothes whenever I could so during the nights we spent apart, I still had a piece of him. I felt my body betraying me, my core clenching, desire oozing from between my folds, reacting to the pressure from Taehyungâs knee.
âI wonât touch you,â Taehyung hissed, his voice low and deep, each one of his exhales over my skin setting my nerves on fire. âNot until you say you want me.â
He released me all at once, taking a step back to view the sweaty, terrified mess he made of me with relish. âBut if I were you, I wouldnât provoke me.â
My body wracked out a sob Iâd been trying to keep contained as I sat up. âTaehyung, please,â I begged. âLet me go.â
My ex-boyfriend knelt down in front of me, gently grasping my jaw with both hands and swiping away my tears with his thumbs. âSorry, baby girl. Not going to happen. I need you too much.â
âPlease,â I sobbed. âPlease.â
He stood and left, the door shutting behind him sounding like the final note to my death march.
ÆžÌ”ÌĄÓ̔̚ÌÆ·
A week passed without seeing him. The only time I saw anyone was when Yeonjun brought me meals every few hours, three times a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Each time he asked me the same question. âHave you reconsidered Mr. Kimâs proposal?â
Each time my answer was always a firm, âNo.â After a few days, I stopped attempting to escape. Even unrestrained, it was futile. One time, Iâd even thrown a chair at the window, but it didnât even scratch the pane. I slammed my fists against the glass, frustrated. What kind of paranoid asshole put bulletproof glass in his bedroom windows?
Before I could take that thought any further, the door opened, announcing the arrival of Yeonjun and breakfast. âGood morning, Miss Park,â he said.
âMorning,â I mumbled half-heartedly.
âHave you reconsidered Mr. Kimâs proposal?â
I sighed, defeated. âActually, I have some questions. Is there any way I can speak to him?â
In reality, my answer was still floating in the ballpark of no, but I wanted to get Taehyung in here to at least see if I could negotiate some terms of my own. I had to try.
âIâll let Mr. Kim know you want to speak with him,â Yeonjun said, uncertainty in his tone. âMiss Park, if I may be so bold, I think you should take him up on his proposal.â
My eyes snapped to his. âSeriously? How could you say that to me?â
âEasy,â he said, taking a step back. âI just mean, if youâre intent on going back home, wouldnât the quickest way be to settle with him and get the year over with?â
I hung my head, knowing he was right. With all this time to think, I had come to the same conclusion. I hated giving in, but it seemed to be the fastest way to obtain my freedom.
âThere have to be conditions though, right?â
âNaturally.â
âThatâs why I need to speak with him. I want to negotiate some terms of my own.â
Yeonjunâs face broke out in a smile. âVery well, Miss Park. Iâll tell him.â
âThank you.â
It was nearly dark when Taehyung finally came to see me. I continued staring out the window, arms folded across my chest, ignoring him. âBaby girl,â he murmured, stepping close behind me and rubbing his palms up and down my forearms. âI heard you wanted to see me.â
I turned and stepped out of his reach. âI didnât want to see you,â I snapped. âI just wanted to discuss the terms of your proposal. I have some conditions.â
âAlright then,â he said, sitting down and gesturing to me to sit as well. I continued to stand. âTell me what you want.â
âI want to be able to call my aunt every so often.â
Taehyungâs dark eyes narrowed. âAbsolutely not.â
âIâll call using the speakerphone. The phone doesnât have to be anywhere near me. That way if I say anything you donât like, you can cut the call short. I just want to hear her voice, let her know Iâm okay.â
He sighed. âFine. Anything else?â
âI want to know where youâve taken me. Where I am.â
âAll you need to know is that weâre still in Korea,â he replied. âMy countryside villa. See baby? I told you Iâd buy us a house in the country.â
Taehyung flashed me a boxy grin that brought memories of the boy I loved in high school flooding back like a river bursting through a dam. I squeezed my hands into fists, digging my nails into my palms, grounding myself.
âHowever, I should warn you,â he said, his tone less playful and more menacing. âThere are no nearby cities or towns. If you run, all youâll find are miles and miles of woods. Weâre very well-hidden here, and I intend to keep us that way.â
âFine,â I sighed. âDonât tell me where we are, I donât care.â
âIf youâre finished,â he said, standing up and stepping close to me once more. âI have some terms of my own.â
I scoffed. âYouâve already kidnapped me, Taehyung, what more do you want?â
âNothing much. Iâm merely smoothing out the details,â he said, his deep lilt causing my chest to tighten.
âFine,â I snapped, shoving my emotions down.
âWhen I said I wanted you to be with me for an entire year, I meant it,â he replied, his inky eyes catching on mine. âSo wherever I go, you go with me.â
âFine.â
âAnd you donât try to escape.â
I tossed him a glare. âYou canât honestly expect me toââ
He put a finger over my lips, silencing me. âYou try to escape, Iâll put you back in this room, and your year will start over once you begin behaving properly again.â
I slapped his hand away. âGod, fine!â
Taehyung smirked. âSo you agree?â
âYes, I fucking agree!â
âExcellent.â
He strode towards the door and held it open for me. âWell? Arenât you coming?â
I practically ran out of the room Iâd spent the last few days in, desperate to behold a new view, to breathe fresh air. A large hallway met my eyes, with doors leading to who knew where. Taehyung grabbed my hand and tugged me after him as I tried to take it all in. So the expensive furniture and spacious room werenât a facade. He actually was extremely wealthy if he owned this place.
We rounded a corner and walked through a gallery, opulent pieces of art hanging on each side of us, rounding another corner only to tread down a large staircase. âTaehyung, is this your home?â I asked, my voice high and soft with disbelief.
He hummed in response. âActually, itâs only one of my homes. Itâs my favorite one, though.â
I balked at his response. The Taehyung I knew could never, ever afford such luxuries. Intertwining his fingers through mine, he continued to lead me past a dining room, a living room where I caught sight of a pool in the backyard, through two sets of double doors, until we entered a spacious suite covered in colors of soft, dark gray and black. A large mural was embedded into the wall above the massive four-poster bed depicting what looked to be a scene from Greek mythology. I turned, gaping at my surroundings. If I thought the bedroom Iâd been locked in was large, this room was absolutely humongous. With the bed in the middle of the room surrounded by expensive furniture and a sitting room off to the side with a door leading to the backyard, I began to feel overwhelmed. How did this happen? How was Taehyung living the life of practical royalty after the state Iâd left him in?
I spun slowly, taking it all in, when I saw it. A gorgeous painting depicting a woman whose face was half in shadow, half in light, smiling down at the both of us. My mouth dropped in horror as I recognized my own face. âFuck,â I muttered, stumbling back. Fear clenched my heart as I wondered just how far Taehyung would take his apparent obsession with me.
âDo you like it?â he asked, mistaking my alarm for awe.
âItâs i-interesting,â I managed to stammer out.
âI had it made so I wouldnât forget your face. But now that youâre here with me, I wonât need it anymore.â
He gestured around the room. âThis is the master suite. My room. Youâll be staying here for the time being. Anything of mine is yours.â
âWait⊠youâre giving me your room?â
Taehyung chuckled. âNo, Y/n. Youâre staying in my room with me.â
I shook my head. âNo, absolutely not. I refuse!â
He cocked an eyebrow and stepped close, causing me to avert my eyes. âThe agreement was that you stay with me and go where I go. That includes where I go in my own house.â
I could feel my anger rising, threatening to burst out, but I calmed it as best I could. âFine,â I said through gritted teeth.
âYour things have been collected and brought here,â Taehyung said, turning away from me. âFeel free to unpack and shower. Iâll bring you something to eat later.â
âAre you going somewhere?â I asked flippantly.
He turned back just long enough to toss me a cheeky smirk. âJust have to go clean up a little mess is all. Be back soon.â
âWait,â I said, stopping him in his tracks. âWhat happened to, âI go where you go?ââ
âNot this time, baby girl,â he replied, walking out of the suite and leaving me alone.
I glanced around. âAgreement or no agreement,â I thought. âIâve got to get out of here.â

Connect Two (Angst, Fluff)
The party was, in a word, loud.
Just the way you liked it.
You and your best friends, Roseanne and Lisa, were standing near the couch, sharing drinks, laughing, talking.
âWhat about him?â Roseanne asked, her Aussie accent piercing through your jumbled thoughts. She raised her finger to a guy who had just entered the room.
You shook your head in disgust. âUgh, not that guy. I remember him. All he wanted from girls was their virginity.â
âHe isnât even that cute,â Lisa muttered as the said guy in question walked past, tossing a wink towards you and your friends.
You visibly shuddered. âBelieve me, you donât want to touch him with a ten-foot pole.â
âYeah RosĂ©,â Lisa teased. âWhatâs with your taste in guys tonight?â
She tossed a dazed smile back. âApparently Iâm way too drunk to pick anyone.â
âAnd why are we doing this again?â you sighed. âThank you guys for your concern, but I donât need or want to date anyone right now.â
âWho said anything about dating?â RosĂ© retorted.
âYeah, fuck that noise,â Lisa added. âWeâre trying to find someone for you to spend the night with.â
âI donât think so,â you muttered, taking a sip from your cup in the hopes that it would help you tolerate your bestiesâ antics.
You had been invited to a party near your parentsâ house by some old schoolmates, where you knew several people from your class would likely show up. So far, you hadnât seen too many people you knew, but the ones you did were ones you only knew in passing. You had transferred into your school only three years before graduating. Everyone else had formed their own friends and cliques, and you had different tastes than most of the student population, anyway. Where was your group of nerdy, animĂ©-loving schoolmates?
Oh, thatâs right. There were only three of you, and the other two lived abroad, leaving you here to fend for yourself. You were just glad that he wasnât here. You hadnât seen him since graduation five years ago, and ever since then, youâd been rehearsing the same speech over and over in your mind.
Iâm sorry.
Lisa audibly gasped, gripping your arm tight. âWhere?â RosĂ© asked, looking over your shoulder. She too loudly gasped and grabbed your other arm.
âWhat?â you asked, glancing between their faces. âWhat?!â
Lisa slowly raised a finger, pointing behind you. You looked over your shoulder to see him walking by. âShit!â you mumbled, turning quickly back around, heat rising to your cheeks. Of course. Just when you thought you were in the clear.
RosĂ© looked at you incredulously. âWait, Y/n, do you⊠know him?â
To say the least. You had only spent every single minute of those three years in love with him. Back then, he had cherry red hair that did nothing to take away from his bright, shy smile and the ever-present mischievous sparkle in his dark eyes. You remembered the first time you met him.
You were standing in line with your best guy friend, Hoseok, to get food. The crowd inside the gymnasium was tumultuous with all their chattering, cheering, cat-calling. You were glad to get a reprieve from the noise, even if it was brief.
âHey, Jungkook!â Hoseok called out. âWhat the hell are you doing here?â
âHey Hobi,â a quiet voice said back. You turned to see him, a shy smile on his face as he stuck his hands in his trouser pockets. His dark eyes slid over to you, giving you a curious once-over. And just like that, every wall you had up fell. You had to get to know this boy.
âOppa,â you muttered, nudging Hoseok.
âWhat?â
âIntroduce us,â you hissed.
Hoseok smirked. âJeon Jungkook, this is L/n Y/n.â
You turned and gave him a bright smile, which on second thought, might not have been the best thing. Jungkook looked extremely nervous. âH-Hi,â he stammered out, his voice cracking.
However, you were determined not to let his shyness get in the way of what could potentially be an epic romance.
âHi,â you said back, holding out your hand. He took it gingerly, his grip gentle as your intertwined hands briefly touched.
You shook the memory away, your hair falling into your face. âOh my god, you do know him,â RosĂ© said. âNo way. Were you friends?â
âYou should introduce us,â Lisa added, twirling her hair around her finger.
âNot a fucking chance,â you muttered. You tipped your cup into your mouth only to find it frustratingly empty. âHang on, I need another drink.â
You made your way to the kitchen, stumbling slightly, when you saw him talking to another girl, laughing and smiling that bright, wide smile. Damn him. He looked even better than he had back in school, which was saying something. His jet-black hair matured him in a way that made your knees weak, casually falling over his left eye and giving him a sultry look. Tattoos now covered his arms and hands, along with a new piercing that went through his right eyebrow. âHoly fuck,â you thought. You placed a hand over your chest as your heart flipped over itself much in the same way it had eight years ago when you saw him for the first time. No longer was his grin shy and withdrawn, but confident and fearless.
His eyes shifted in your direction, connecting with your gaze for a few seconds before sliding back over to the girl he was talking to. Just that small exchange left you reeling. It was like nothing had changed. You still felt that same invisible string connecting both your souls together, tugging you towards him despite you using all your strength to break it. But you knew he didnât feel the same way.
âHey guys,â Jungkook said, averting his gaze as he opened his door and gestured inside.
âHey JK,â Hoseok said. âReady to have your ass kicked?â
âYou wish,â Jungkook shot back, tossing Hoseok a small grin. âH-Hey Y/n.â
âHey.â
You bit your lip to contain the grin threatening to cover your entire face. After that day at the game, you, Jungkook, Hoseok, and a couple of other guys had sat at the same table for lunch. One of your favorite things to do was to play board games or card games during your break, but what you all looked forward to the most was playing video games together.
You were okay, kind of ranging in the middle of the pack, but it was one of the only ways you could spend time with Jungkook. You loved who he became while you were playing video games. He turned from a shy, soft-spoken teenager to someone who knew what he was doing and knew he was good at it. Really good.
âOn your left,â he called, directing you and Hoseok effortlessly. You glanced at him. Heâd dyed his hair to an attractive brunette, and had obtained a couple new ear piercings. You inhaled sharply as he bit his lip in concentration, eyes focused intently on the screen.
âY/n!â Hoseok groaned as the screen went grey.
âOh, oh, my bad,â you said, ripping your gaze away from Jungkook.
âItâs okay, itâs time for a snack break anyway,â Jungkook said, standing up.
âIâll help,â you said, feeling a fresh wave of confidence wash over you. Last year, you were the awkward new girl with braces and glasses that magnified your eyes in an unattractive way, but this year was the year Jungkook noticed you. You had gotten contacts, learned how to use makeup, gotten your braces off, and learned how to style your hair to frame your face in a cute way. This was the year you made your feelings known.
You followed Jungkook to the kitchen, watching his broad shoulders as he towered above you. Heâd definitely grown a lot in the past year. And his smell⊠so enticing. You didnât know what kind of cologne he used, you just knew you wanted to buy buckets of it to inhale from.
Jungkook opened the fridge. âWhat kind of soda do you want? I have Coca-Cola, cherry, grapeâŠâ
You were barely listening. All you could do was stare at him, his flawless, creamy skin beckoning to you. The string you felt connecting your souls tugged you forward, giving you the confidence you needed to take things to the next level. You stepped close just as Jungkook was closing the fridge door and placed a quick kiss on his cheek.
Jungkook dropped the can, letting it clatter on the floor.
He looked at you, his mouth parted open. âY/nâŠ?â he asked weakly.
You placed your hands over your mouth, shocked at yourself. âIâm⊠Iâm sorry,â you said, turning and fleeing the room.
You nearly crashed into Hoseok. âHey, whatâs the rush?â he joked, placing his hands on your shoulders to steady you.
âWhoa,â he said, noticing your blown pupils and heaving chest. âAre you okay, Y/n?â
âYeah,â you said breathlessly, holding a hand to your forehead. âI mean, I think so. Feeling a bit light-headed.â
âWant me to take you home?â
âN-No, I have my car, I just need a minute.â
âYo JK,â Hoseok said, looking over your shoulder. You didnât dare turn around. âCan you get Y/n some water? And make sure she gets home safely? I know sheâs been staying up really late to study. Iâd do it myself, but Iâve gotta go home to watch my little sister. My mom was just called into work.â
âSure th-thing.â
Concern took over Hoseokâs features. âYou okay?â
âYep,â Jungkook replied, his voice much too high.
Hoseok didnât look convinced, but he left you both anyway after saying his goodbyes. âIâd better go too,â you said, turning.
âWait.â
You turned, hope blooming in your chest. Jungkookâs dark eyes caught the light as he stepped close, wide and earnest. He gently took both your hands in his and squeezed. Tingles exploded across your body, like mini-fireworks of every color lighting up your insides. âY/n, I know you l-like me,â Jungkook stammered. âBut I have to tell you somethingâŠâ
The fireworks inside you fizzled out, your eyebrows drawing together as you anticipated his next words. âI like someone else.â
You slid your hands out of his. âWhat?â
âI like someone else,â he repeated, looking away from you.
You scoffed. Of course he liked someone else. There were a hundred other girls he could pick from, all of them prettier than you, smarter than you, better than you in every way.
âIâm sorry, Y/n.â
âFor what?â you said, your voice hoarse. âItâs not your fault. You canât help how you feel.â
Jungkook finally looked at you again, pity in his eyes. You turned away, hating that he felt sorry for you. For you! He should feel sorry for himself.
You closed your eyes, willing the anger away. You meant what you said. This wasnât Jungkookâs fault. He couldnât help who he loved or didnât love.
âIâve got to go,â you muttered, turning away.
âWait, Y/năŒâ
âFor what?â you said, whirling around to look him in the eyes. âFor you to love me back? Thatâs never gonna happen, soăŒâ
âYou love me?â
âShit,â you said under your breath. âNo, I-Iâm confused, what I meant wasăŒâ
Jungkook took a step away from you, his face screwed up in distress. âY/n⊠Iâm sorry, I donât feel the same way.â
You shrugged. âOkay. Thatâs fine. Itâs fine. Weâre fine.â
You grabbed your things and opened the door, the tears welling up fast.
âDid I fuck up?â Jungkook asked quietly from behind you. âAre we still friends?â
You turned back, your eyes shining with tears that hadnât spilled yet. âYes, weâre still friends,â you choked out. âIâll see you at school.â
âWant a drink?â
You were shaken out of the memory by a guy standing in front of you that you didnât recognize. âIâm sorry, what?â
âI asked if you wanted a drink,â he said, his voice filled with amusement. You sized the guy up. He was cute. Not really your type, but maybe you could make the most of tonight with a guy like him.
You felt a hand on your shoulder, causing you to turn. You were expecting RosĂ© or Lisa, but instead felt ice run through your veins as Jungkookâs dark irises met your own. âDude, I think your girlfriend is looking for you,â he said pointedly.
The guy snorted and left, tossing a glare in Jungkookâs direction.
âI didnât need saving,â you snapped, brushing Jungkookâs hand away.
âI know. I just wanted to talk to you.â
âSo talk.â
One side of Jungkookâs mouth lifted in a halfhearted smirk. âCâmon Y/n, you already know what I want to talk about.â
You raised an eyebrow. âDo I?â
âDonât you remember?â he asked, stepping closer. âGraduation?â
You blinked and glanced down at the floor, painful memories pushing past all the walls youâd built to hold them back.
âCongrats Y/n,â Jungkook said, holding his diploma, smiling shyly at you. Your heart skipped a beat. Despite everything, you were still in love with him. He had grown even taller, and his hair was now dyed a sandy brown with blonde streaks. Heâd grown into his smile a bit, and had even grown confident enough to sport a bit of eyeliner that attractively set off his dark eyes.
âCongrats to you!â you said enthusiastically. âWe did it!â
âWe did, huh?â
The awkwardness between you two grew. Even after three years of spending time together, it seems neither of you could keep the conversation flowing. âHey, can I talk to you? In private?â Jungkook asked suddenly.
Your mouth parted open in surprise. âS-Sure.â
You both stepped out into the darkened hallway, the only light coming from a few windows further down. âI figured I should be honest with you,â Jungkook said, looking down at his feet. âRemember when you kissed me a year ago?â
You blushed profusely. âN-No,â you said, cursing your shaky voice. Of course you remembered. How could you forget? Itâs not like your feelings had changed. Despite him rejecting you, Jungkook still held the number one spot in your heart. Sure, youâd dated other guys and done your best to get over him, but that string was still there, connecting you to him, wrapped around your very soul.
âI told you I liked someone else.â
âOh, yeah, thatâs right,â you said. âI r-remember now.â
One side of his mouth lifted in a half-smile. He saw right through you, and you both knew it. âWell, that girl was Aubry.â
You resisted rolling your eyes. Of course it was. She was only the prettiest girl in your class. You didnât know a single guy who hadnât had a crush on her at one point or another. Aubry was not only extremely beautiful, but extremely nice as well. Sheâd stood up for you a couple times when her more snobby friends made rude comments toward you. As far as you knew, sheâd stayed single your entire school career. She was a free spirit, a kite that wanted to break free from its string. You knew she wanted to travel and do volunteer work in less fortunate countries, not stay here and be in some relationship that would likely end in disaster anyway.
âShe rejected me.â
Again, you resisted rolling your eyes. You saw that coming a mile away.
âBut I never stopped loving her.â
âJungkook, why are you telling me all this?â you asked impatiently. Your friends and family were waiting on the other side of the door, why were you here letting your emotions get torn to shreds?
âBecause,â he said, twisting his hands around each other nervously. âBecause I wanted to tell you I was wrong.â
You blinked at him. âWrong? About what?â
âAbout turning you down. I should have given you a chance.â
You couldnât believe what you were hearing. âWh-What?â
âI was so fixated on Aubry, I ignored everyone else,â Jungkook muttered. âBut as far as being with you went⊠I canât say I didnât think about it.â
Silence built a wall between you two. âAre you⊠Are you serious?â you finally said.
Jungkook nodded.
You scoffed. âWhat the hell, Jungkook? You couldnât have told me this earlier? Weâre graduating! Itâs too late!â
âI know. Youâre going off to college abroad, and Iâm focusing on my singing career. Weâre going totally different directions, but I knew Iâd regret it if I didnât at least tell you.â
âWow. You couldnât have left well enough alone, could you?â you said, emotion clogging up your throat. âYou just had to get one more painful memory in.â
âWhat? No, thatâs not what IăŒâ
âFuck you, Jungkook.â
His mouth dropped open in shock. âWait, Y/năŒâ
âNo!â You cut him off, holding a hand up. âYou donât get to break my heart like that again. Fuck you!â
You threw open the door and ran through it, angrily swiping at the tears that had finally spilled over.
âYeah, about that,â you said, pushing the memory back down into the dark recesses of your mind. âSorry I told you to fuck off.â
âUh, I believe your exact words were, âFuck you, Jungkook.ââ
You rolled your eyes. âWhatever.â
Jungkook smirked before taking a sip from his cup. âAre you here alone?â
You folded your arms. âMaybe.â
He chuckled. âIf you are, Iâd like to keep talking to you, if thatâs okay.â
You bit your lip to contain the smile that surfaced at his words. âSure.â
Jungkook grinned back at you, melting your insides like butter tossed into a hot pan. That string that had always linked the two of you began to thicken, building strand upon strand with each flirtatious comment, each meaningful look, each chuckle and laugh. Maybe this would ramp up into an epic romance, or maybe this would merely turn into a beautiful friendship, but either way, your connected souls would never part ways again.
