love how kanej and helnik are practically DROWNING in the angst and wesper are just living their best rom-com life being cute and wholesome
There wasn't a single day when I wasn't sincere with you.

just saw some millard x reader prompts from 2020 in my drafts. is the mphfpc fandom still alive? are there still millard nullings enjoyers out there?
here are some of the prompts. let me know if you're interested and I'll write the fics.
"It's called freefall" - you met your childhood friend millard in devil's acre during the desolations. things weren't how they used to be. (fluff)
"If she's anything like me" - you're one of miss peregrine's wards and you had to let go of your feelings for millard when he fell for lilly. (angst)
"I'm not calling you a liar" - you're a cartographer and he's a smartass. you find yourself in a heated debate with millard as you map ancient loops across the world. (fluff & banter)
i keep seeing a discourse in the art community recently about whether an artist should omit or change a character's features based on their style.
my take on that is you don't have to sacrifice a character's feature to fit your style; it's supposed to be the other way around.
in order for us to get rid of the same-face syndrome, we must be flexible in what we draw and how we stylize a reference.
i did a quick portrait study and added notes on each process. remember that this isn't a one-size-fits-all tutorial and feel free to only take what's best for you.

Without a second thought, Linus reached up and cupped Arthur’s face. His skin was hot, but Linus wasn’t afraid of being singed and blackened. Arthur would never allow it. The fire tickled against the backs of his hands. “There, there,” Linus said quietly. “That’s enough of that, I think. You’ve made your point quite well.” - The House in the Cerulean Sea
I love a good desperate face grab - some excellent face holding in this book!
