You sat at the window of your dorm in the School for Good, staring out at the lush landscape of Gavaldon in the distance. The flickering lanterns of the castle illuminated the night sky, and for a moment, it all seemed so peaceful. But inside, your mind was swirling with chaos.
Being Tedrosâ sister came with responsibilities, especially being an Ever. You were expected to embody perfection, grace, and loyalty to the School for Good. But your heart was far more complicated than that.
You were in love with Hort.
It wasnât supposed to happen. He was a Never, a boy from the shadows, the antithesis of everything Good stood for. Your relationship was a secretâhidden glances during classes, stolen moments in dark corridors, and whispered conversations in the dead of night. But recently, it wasnât enough for Hort.
You remembered the fight, the one that tore a crack in your heart.
âWe canât keep doing this,â Hort had said, his voice strained as he paced back and forth in the woods just beyond the school. âIâm tired of hiding, Y/N.â
You looked at him, your arms crossed defensively. âHort, you know why we have to. If anyone finds out, it could ruin everything.â
âRuin what?â he snapped, turning to face you, his green eyes blazing with frustration. âAll we have are a few moments here and there. Weâre practically invisible. What are we even protecting?â
You swallowed hard, the weight of your crown pressing down on you. âIâm protecting my familyâTedros, the kingdom. If they find out Iâm with a NeverâŚâ
Hortâs jaw clenched, his fists curling at his sides. âSo, Iâm just some dirty secret to you?â
âThatâs not fair, Hort,â you whispered, tears pricking at your eyes. âYou know itâs more than that.â
âThen why donât you want to tell anyone? Why are you ashamed of me?â His words cut through you like a blade, sharp and painful.
âIâm not ashamed,â you choked out. âIâm scared.â
He shook his head, his expression hardening. âFine. If youâre too scared to be with me out in the open, maybe we shouldnât be together at all.â
And just like that, he walked away, leaving you alone with your guilt and your fear.
For weeks, things were cold between you two. Hort avoided you in the halls, and when your eyes met during lunch, heâd look away, as if the sight of you pained him. You tried to bury yourself in your studies, but nothing could distract you from the ache in your chest.
Tedros noticed something was off but didnât pry. Beatrix, always nosy, gave you concerned looks, while Sophie and Agatha were too caught up in their own drama to notice. But you missed Hortâhis sarcastic comments, his ridiculous smirk, the way he could make you laugh even on the worst days.
You couldnât take it anymore. You had to fix things.
One night, when the moon was high in the sky, you found Hort sitting by the lake near the School for Evil, staring at the reflection of the castle in the water. He didnât look up when you approached.
âHort,â you said softly, stepping closer. He remained silent.
You took a deep breath, your heart pounding in your chest. âIâm sorry,â you whispered. âIâve been so focused on what Iâm afraid of that I forgot what matters most.â
He glanced up at you, his expression guarded but hopeful. âAnd whatâs that?â
âYou,â you said, kneeling beside him. âI love you, Hort. And I donât want to lose you.â
His eyes softened, the hurt still there but fading. âThen why are we hiding?â
âI was scared of what my family would think. Of what the others would say,â you admitted, your voice trembling. âBut I realized that none of that matters. If I lose you because of my fear, then Iâve already lost everything.â
Hort looked at you for a long moment, then sighed, the tension in his shoulders easing. âSo, what now?â
You reached out and took his hand, squeezing it tightly. âWe go public. Together.â
The next morning, you and Hort stood just outside the dining hall, your heart pounding as you laced your fingers together. You could already hear the chatter of students inside, oblivious to the storm about to hit.
âReady?â Hort asked, his voice steady despite the uncertainty in his eyes.
You nodded, taking a deep breath. âReady.â
With that, you pushed open the doors, stepping into the bustling dining hall hand in hand. At first, no one noticedâstudents were too caught up in their conversations and breakfast. But then, the whispers started, spreading like wildfire across the room.
Beatrix was the first to react, her mouth dropping open in shock. âWhatâ?â
Agatha and Sophie exchanged a look, their eyes wide with surprise. Anadil, Dot, and Hester, who had been sitting together, stared in disbelief, Hesterâs brow furrowed in confusion while Dotâs eyes lit up with curiosity.
But the most intense reaction came from Tedros. He stood up so fast that his chair clattered to the floor, his blue eyes blazing as he stormed over to you.
âWhat is this?â he demanded, his gaze shifting between you and Hort. âYouâre with him?â
You swallowed, standing your ground. âYes, I am.â
Tedros stared at you, as if struggling to process your words. âBut heâs a Never.â
âI know,â you said, lifting your chin. âAnd I love him.â
The dining hall went silent, all eyes on you and Hort. Tedros looked torn between anger and confusion, but after a moment, he let out a frustrated sigh and ran a hand through his hair. âFine,â he muttered, though he clearly wasnât thrilled. âJustâŚdonât expect me to like it.â
Hort smirked, giving Tedros a mock salute. âWouldnât dream of it, mate.â
Agatha nudged Sophie, who was still staring in disbelief. âLooks like love really is unpredictable,â she whispered, earning a glare from Sophie.
You turned to Hort, squeezing his hand as relief washed over you. The hardest part was over, and now, you were free to be togetherâno more hiding, no more secrets.
And as you and Hort sat down, hand in hand, you realized that nothing else mattered as long as you had each other.

Being Kageyama Tobioâs younger twin sister came with an extra layer of complications, especially when Karasuno acted as your personal security team. They were relentless in their overprotectiveness, particularly around guys who so much as looked in your direction. If someone even smiled at you, the entire team would close in, their hawk-like glares chasing away any potential suitors.
At first, you found it endearing. But then you met Atsumu Miya at nationals.
It was the first day of the tournament, and you were helping the team prepare when you caught Atsumu staring from across the court. His grin was wide and cocky, clearly confident as he threw you a playful wink.
âOi, pretty twin!â he shouted, loud enough for everyone to hear. You stiffened in place, your cheeks burning, but before you could respond, Karasuno had already reacted.
âWhat did he just call you?â Nishinoya shot up from his stretching position, his eyes narrowing.
âPretty what?â Tanaka echoed, cracking his knuckles as he stood next to Noya, his protective energy bubbling to the surface.
You tried to brush it off with a wave of your hand. âItâs nothing. Heâs justââ
âFlirting with you,â Tsukishima interrupted, smirking as he adjusted his glasses. âAnd heâs not even subtle about it.â
Kageyamaâs brow furrowed as his head slowly turned to where Atsumu was standing. His eyes darkened, though his expression remained relatively blank. He might not have shown it as outwardly as the others, but you knew your brother. Tobio didnât like Atsumu from the moment he met him, and this wasnât helping.
âLetâs not get distracted, guys,â Daichi called out, though even he was giving Atsumu the side-eye. âWeâve got a match to win.â
Still, every time Atsumu caught your eye, heâd flash you a grin, causing the Karasuno members to collectively tense up. It was almost funny seeing the boys get so worked up, but the situation quickly became something you tried to push to the back of your mind as the tournament progressed.
Three months later, you had a secretâand that secret had blonde hair, a cocky smirk, and answered to the name of Atsumu Miya.
It had all started with some casual texting, which turned into late-night phone calls, which somehow turned into a relationship. Keeping it hidden from your brother and the rest of Karasuno had been exhausting, but you and Atsumu enjoyed the thrill of sneaking around.
The challenge? Not letting Karasuno catch on, especially when they seemed to be hyper-aware of everything involving you.
âY/N! Watch out!â
Hinataâs shout snapped you out of your thoughts just in time to duck a stray volleyball that came hurtling toward your head. You let out a yelp and crouched down, feeling the breeze of the ball as it narrowly missed you. You looked up to see Noya sprinting over with wide eyes.
âAre you okay? Did it hit you?â Noyaâs panic was so evident it was almost endearing.
âIâm fine!â you assured him, standing back up with a nervous chuckle. But the second the rest of the team saw the near-miss, they rushed over.
âSeriously, guys, Iâm fine,â you repeated, now surrounded by a circle of worried faces. Even Tsukishima raised an eyebrow from the sidelines, though he didn't move from his spot. Kageyama frowned, clearly irritated that he hadnât seen the ball coming.
âYou gotta pay attention, Y/N,â Daichi said, his captain voice kicking in as he patted your shoulder. âWe donât need anyone getting hurt.â
You laughed lightly, brushing it off. âYeah, yeah, Iâll be more careful.â
Little did they know, your distraction had nothing to do with the ball and everything to do with a certain setter from Inarizaki.
Today, practice was running long, and you were helping gather up volleyballs when the gym doors suddenly burst open with a loud crash.
âOi, Y/n/n! Yer not gonna believe this!â
Atsumuâs voice rang out, and your heart dropped to your stomach. You whipped around to see him standing in the entrance of the gym, his Inarizaki jacket casually draped over his shoulders. Behind him were some of his teammates, including Osamu, who looked like he was bracing for whatever chaos his brother had just set off.
The entire gym went dead silent.
âWhat... is he doing here?â Daichiâs voice was the first to break the tension.
You could feel every pair of Karasuno eyes burning into you as you slowly made your way over to Atsumu, desperately trying to push him back out the door. âTsumu! What are you doing here?!â you hissed under your breath.
He just grinned, completely unbothered by the growing tension in the gym. âCame to surprise ya! Thought youâd be happy to see me.â His tone was teasing, loud enough for everyone to hear.
âYouâve got to leaveâ" you started, but then you heard Tanaka groan.
âWait a minuteâŚâ Nishinoya muttered. âDid he just say âsurpriseâ? Why is he here to surprise you?â
Atsumu winked, leaning casually against the doorframe. âGuess itâs time to let the cat outta the bag, huh?â
You stood frozen, heart racing as Karasunoâs eyes ping-ponged between you and Atsumu. This wasnât how it was supposed to happen.
âLet what out of the bag?â Hinata asked, his voice full of confusion.
You sighed deeply, rubbing the back of your neck. âOkay, um⌠I was going to tell you guys eventually, but... Atsumu and I are dating.â
The gym erupted.
âWHAT?!â Tanaka and Noya practically screeched.
âHow long has this been going on?!â Daichi demanded, his arms crossed over his chest.
âYouâve gotta be kidding me,â Tsukishima snorted, looking both amused and shocked at the same time.
Kageyama was staring blankly at you, his expression unreadable but his fists clenched. He clearly didnât know what to do with this information.
âAww, donât be mad,â Atsumu called out, stepping further into the gym. âItâs been three months now. Didnât wanna cause a scene, but I guess I kinda did, huh?â His smug grin only made the situation worse.
Tanaka and Noya were the first to move, charging straight at Atsumu, who dodged them with ease, laughing all the while. âOi! You guys serious?â
âGet back here, you sly fox!â Noya yelled, determined to catch him.
Atsumu darted around the gym, dodging stray volleyballs and Karasunoâs players like it was some sort of game. You couldnât help but laugh at the sight of Atsumu, one of the top setters in Japan, being chased by your overprotective team like he was a kid caught stealing candy.
Even Daichi couldnât help but crack a smile as the chaos unfolded, though he tried to keep things under control. âAlright, alright, thatâs enough!â
Finally, Atsumu stopped, catching his breath as he leaned against the wall. âMan, you guys are protective, huh?â
âObviously,â Tanaka huffed, still looking like he wanted to tackle Atsumu. âBut weâll let it slideâfor now.â
Atsumu glanced at you, flashing that familiar grin. âGuess Iâll be visiting more often now.â
You rolled your eyes but couldnât hide your smile. âYouâre never going to stop causing trouble, are you?â
âNot a chance.â
Later that day...
After the chaos settled a bit, Atsumu found himself cornered by Karasunoâs starting lineup. You watched from a distance, chilling with Inarizaki, who had shown up to see what all the fuss was about.
âYou better take care of her,â Daichi said, his voice low and threatening. âBecause if you donâtâŚâ
âWeâll beat you up,â Tanaka finished, cracking his knuckles for emphasis.
Nishinoya nodded vigorously. âNo mercy.â
Even Kageyama, who hadnât said much this whole time, was standing with his arms crossed, silently glaring at Atsumu. His intense stare did more than enough talking for him. It was clear: Atsumu was on thin ice.
Atsumu, to his credit, didnât back down. He just grinned that same cocky grin. âI wouldnât dream of hurtinâ her. But thanks for the heads-up.â He held up his hands in mock surrender, but his eyes glinted with amusement. âI get it, I get it. Take care of her, or Iâm dead.â
Satisfied for the moment, Karasuno finally backed off, though they were still watching Atsumu like hawks.
Meanwhile, you sat on the bleachers with Osamu and Suna, who had been watching the whole thing with mild amusement.
âCanât believe ya managed to keep it a secret for three months,â Osamu said, shaking his head. âDidnât think you could pull it off with this idiot as your boyfriend.â
âOi!â Atsumu called from across the gym, having heard his brotherâs comment. âWhatâs that sâposed to mean?!â
Suna smirked lazily, glancing between you and Osamu. âDealing with Atsumu must be exhausting. You have my condolences.â
You laughed, along with the rest of the Inarizaki boys. Despite all the drama, it was nice to know that both teams had your backâno matter how much they clashed.
After practice ended, Karasuno wasnât quite done with you and Atsumu. You found yourself dragged into the clubroom, where Daichi, Suga, Tanaka, and Nishinoya sat you both down like they were about to conduct a police interrogation.
Suga smiled sweetly, but you could feel the tension in the room. âAlright, letâs get some answers. How did this start? And why didnât you tell us sooner?â
You glanced at Atsumu, who just shrugged like this was no big deal. âWe met at nationals. Kinda hit it off, yâknow? Textinâ led to more textinâ⌠then calls⌠and, well, here we are.â
Tanaka leaned forward, narrowing his eyes. âBut why keep it a secret? You didnât trust us?â
âNo, no! It wasnât that,â you said quickly. âWe just didnât want it to get... complicated.â
âComplicated?â Noya repeated, raising an eyebrow. âYou mean you didnât want us freaking out and chasing him around the gym?â
You both exchanged a look.
âMaybe a little,â you admitted with a grin. âBut you guys kinda proved us right.â
There was a beat of silence before Daichi cleared his throat. âWeâre not trying to be overbearing. We just want to make sure youâre happy, Y/N. And that youâre with someone who treats you right.â
Atsumu, for once, looked serious as he nodded. âI get it. But trust meâI ainât gonna mess this up. Iâm crazy about her.â
Karasunoâs members exchanged glances, and finally, Suga sighed with a small smile. âOkay. But weâre keeping an eye on you, Miya. One wrong move, andââ
âI know, I know.â Atsumu raised his hands again. âIâll behave.â
The interrogation ended on a somewhat lighter note, but as you walked out of the room with Atsumu by your side, you could still feel the weight of Karasunoâs watchful eyes.
âTheyâre never gonna let this go, are they?â you asked, glancing up at him.
âNah,â Atsumu chuckled, throwing an arm around your shoulder. âBut itâs kinda sweet, ainât it? Means they care about ya.â
You smiled, leaning into him as you both headed out of the gym. âYeah. I guess it does.â
The secret was out, and while it had been a wild ride, you felt relieved. Despite all the threats and teasing, you knew you were surrounded by people who had your backâwhether they were from Karasuno or Inarizaki.
And as for Atsumu? Well, you had a feeling he was going to enjoy riling up Karasuno for a long time to come.

The corridors of Merlinâs Academy were alive with activity, filled with a mix of students from different backgroundsâroyals, villains, and everyone in between. You walked through the halls with a confident stride, a natural result of your royal upbringing. Yet, behind that confidence was a heart that had been captured by a rather unconventional group.
Uliana, Hook, Morgie, Hades, and Maleficentâthey were your everything.
Your relationship with them had started slowly, each bond forming in its own time, like pieces of a puzzle falling into place. Uliana, with her sly smiles and endless charm, was the first to draw you in. Hook followed with his reckless grin and roguish wit. Morgieâs quiet strength, Hadesâ surprisingly warm heart, and Maleficentâs fierce protectivenessâall of them had captured your heart in their own unique ways.
And they had captured each otherâs too. Love flowed freely between all of you, a beautiful, tangled web of affection that defied the expectations of the world around you.
But today, something felt off.
You were outside by the fountain, chatting with your friendsâBridget, Ella, and Charmingâwhen you noticed Uliana, Hook, Morgie, Hades, and Maleficent watching from a distance. Their expressions were tight, their postures stiff. Something was wrong.
After saying goodbye to your friends, you made your way over to them. âHey, whatâs going on?â
Ulianaâs usual smirk was missing as she glanced at the others. Hook was the first to speak, his voice laced with a rare vulnerability. â(Y/N), why are you with us?â
You blinked, confused by the question. âWhat do you mean?â
Morgie sighed, crossing his arms as he leaned against a tree. âYouâre a royal, (Y/N). You have everythingâthe status, the friends, the perfect life. Why would you want to be with a bunch of misfits like us?â
The words hit you like a punch to the gut. You looked around at them, seeing the insecurity and doubt in their eyes. Even Maleficent, usually so composed, looked unsure, her gaze fixed on the ground.
Hades was the one who broke the silence. âYou could have anyone, (Y/N). Why choose us? Weâre not like you. Weâre... not enough.â
Your heart ached at the sight of their pain. You stepped forward, reaching for Ulianaâs hand first. âYouâre all more than enough for me. I donât care about being a royal or what anyone else thinks. I care about youâall of you.â
You turned to Hook, placing a hand on his cheek. âYou make me laugh like no one else can.â
Then to Morgie, brushing your fingers against his. âYouâre strong and steady, always there when I need you.â
You faced Hades next, cupping his face in your hands. âYou have the kindest heart, even if you try to hide it.â
And finally, to Maleficent, who met your gaze with uncertainty. âYouâre fierce and protective, and I love that about you.â
You took a step back so you could see all of them at once. âI love you all for who you are. Thatâs why Iâm with youâbecause you make me feel like Iâm home.â
Uliana was the first to react, pulling you into a tight embrace. âIâm sorry,â she murmured into your hair. âWe were just... scared, I guess.â
Hook joined in, wrapping his arms around both of you. âYeah, weâre idiots.â
Morgie, Hades, and Maleficent followed, surrounding you in a warm, protective circle. âWeâre lucky to have you,â Morgie said softly.
âAnd Iâm lucky to have you,â you replied, squeezing them all tightly.
The tension melted away, replaced by the comforting warmth of being with the people you loved most in the world. Whatever doubts they had, you were determined to dispel them, to show them every day just how much they meant to you.
The next day, everything seemed to return to normal, or so you thought. You spent the morning attending classes, and during lunch, you hung out with your friendsâBridget, Ella, and Charming. They were laughing about something when Bridgetâs expression grew serious.
â(Y/N), can we talk for a second?â Bridget asked, her tone low.
You nodded, curious but not alarmed. âSure, whatâs up?â
Ella and Charming exchanged glances before Ella spoke. âItâs about Uliana, Hook, Morgie, Hades, and Maleficent. Theyâve been... well, theyâve been pulling pranks. Mean ones.â
Your stomach dropped. âWhat do you mean?â
Charming sighed, running a hand through his hair. âTheyâve been targeting other students. Specifically, other royals.â
âTheyâre trying to prove something,â Bridget added, her voice gentle. âI donât think itâs malicious, but itâs definitely causing problems.â
You felt a mix of disappointment and frustration. This wasnât like themânot the people you knew and loved. But you also remembered the conversation you had with them the day before, how they had expressed their insecurities about your relationship. It all made sense now.
âThanks for telling me,â you said, your voice steady. âIâll handle it.â
You found them later that afternoon, gathered in their usual spot. They were laughing, clearly pleased with themselves over something. But when they saw you approaching, their smiles faltered.
â(Y/N), whatâs wrong?â Uliana asked, noticing the serious expression on your face.
You crossed your arms, not bothering to mask your disappointment. âI know about the pranks.â
Their reactions variedâUliana looked guilty, Hook tried to play it off with a grin, Morgie and Maleficent avoided your gaze, and Hades sighed deeply.
âWhy?â you asked, your voice filled with hurt. âWhy would you do something like this?â
â(Y/N), itâs not a big deal,â Hook started, but you cut him off.
âIt is a big deal, Hook. Youâre hurting people because youâre insecure. Youâre trying to prove something that doesnât need proving.â
Uliana frowned, her guilt turning to defensiveness. âThey had it coming. Those royals look down on us. They think weâre nothing but trouble.â
âAnd youâre proving them right by acting like this!â you shot back. âYouâre better than this. All of you are.â
Morgie finally spoke up, his voice subdued. âWe just... we didnât want to lose you. They have so much to offer, and weâre just...â
You softened at his words, your heart aching for them. âI chose you. I choose you every day. But this? This isnât the way to handle it.â
Hades, who had been silent until now, stepped forward, taking your hand in his. âWeâre sorry, (Y/N). We didnât think it would get this far.â
You squeezed his hand, looking at each of them in turn. âYou donât need to prove anything to me. I love you for who you are, not for what you think you should be. I donât want to see you hurting others because of your insecurities.â
Maleficent finally spoke, her voice low but sincere. âWe wonât do it again. Weâll make it right.â
Uliana nodded, her earlier defensiveness melting away. âWeâll fix this, (Y/N). We promise.â
You let out a breath you didnât realize you were holding, feeling the tension leave your shoulders. âThank you. I donât want to see you guys hurt anyone, but I also donât want to see you hurting yourselves with this kind of behavior.â
They all moved closer, surrounding you in a group hug that felt as warm and comforting as ever. Uliana pressed a kiss to your temple, Hook wrapped an arm around your waist, Morgie rested his forehead against yours, Hades held you close, and Maleficent gently touched your cheek.
âWe love you, (Y/N),â Uliana whispered, and the others murmured their agreement.
âAnd I love you,â you replied, your voice thick with emotion. âWeâre in this together, okay? No more doubts, no more pranks. Just us.â
They nodded, and you knew they meant it. The love you shared was stronger than any insecurities, any doubts. And together, you would face whatever challenges came your way, hand in hand.
