Regulus Arcturus Black is always dressed to the nines. His slacks are freshly ironed and pressed with a perfect crease down the center, his tie is always perfectly centered on his clean white button up. His hair falls exactly how he wants it to every day, and his jewelry sits perfectly on his hands. If he’s not required to wear the uniform, he’s wearing a turtleneck with his slacks or a fancy white button up with weird -- to James -- flowy things that stick out on the chest. 

Needless to say, Regulus takes a whole lot of pride in his everyday attire and his outward appearance. 

So colour James elated when he gets up to the Astronomy tower and Regulus is curled up in one of his hoodies, staring at the stars. He’s got his knees tucked into the hoodie in front of him and his chin has disappeared under the collar from where he’s resting it on his knees. James didn’t make a comment, instead choosing to ask if he was cold then moving to sit next to him. Then when he found him wearing one of James’ t-shirts when he walked into the dorm one day, Regulus laying on his bed reading a book. “Are you comfortable?” James asks, walking towards his trunk to grab his own sleep clothes. Regulus hums in response, not looking up from his book, “You look cute in my clothes.”

“Shut up.” Regulus grumbles back, “My uniform was touching me wrong so I needed to change and since I was in here. This won't happen again.”

But it did happen again. Almost every time Regulus and James spend the night together, Regulus ends up in one of James’ shirts or he'll be wearing hoodies when they’re going on early morning or late night walks. Regulus takes pride in his clothing and appearance, however James will always come before his pride.
