thissss we veteran nerds didn't survive the “your OC is a mary sue and you should KYS!” witch hunts of the early 2000s only for younger fandom members to still be deeply afraid to ship OCs with canon characters 20 years later 🙁 although most fandoms no longer flame canon x oc fics/art they're still frequently ignored which i know can be a bit of a bummer haha 😅 but that's definitely better than the bullying of the past so we shouldn't be discouraged 💪💖 oc x canon fandom stuff writing stuff art stuff original character my ocs my fics
