Maybe Both. The Emissary Could Cast Magical Barriers On His Pack Before They Run Into Combat, And Maybe

Maybe both. The emissary could cast magical barriers on his pack before they run into combat, and maybe even stay back and cast adittional protection spells around the battlefield as needed to keep more heavy artillery from hitting them. The pack could also have some armor with moving parts that dosen't limit their shifts, or maybe have armor with openings in parts that would be more heavily altered when they shapeshift, so that things like their claws wouldn't get stuck and the armor wouldn't need mechanisms to adapt. Infused magical barriers on the armor would help too.

When thinking about different scenarios and AUs for Teen Wolf stories, did you ever considered how werewolfs and other shapeshifters would wear armor or tactical gear? How would that even work? I've been trying to figure out a realistic explanation for this situation but unless their equipament was very advanced, with retractable and self adjusting parts,I just can't think how they could wear any protection for combat without limiting their abilities,or tearing tearing their gear apart.Thoughts?

I haven't thought about that either. But I guess they wouldn't? It seems kind of pointless if you have supernatural healing speed, and as you mentioned, it would limit your abilities. I mean, maybe they'd wear some sort of protection for the chest to avoid the wounds that need the most time to heal. Other than that, I don't think they would've worn much.
