I can’t believe I forgot to post this earlier ;-; my time it is now 11/17 which means Benji’s bday is technically over, but this fic will hopefully slap regardless!!!

summary: A birthday is just like any other day, but worse. At least, that’s what Benji thinks until Victor. wordcount: 4347 excerpt;

“Yeah,” Benji says, smiling, a tear sneaking out of his left eye. “Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Thanks, Victor, this is…” He looks into his boyfriend’s eyes, warm brown, eyes he’s seen ecstatic, angry, on the edge of the worst of the worst. “This is perfect. You’re perfect.”

Victor leans forward kisses Benji, his teeth nicking Benji’s boom lip as he pulls away. He lingers close, their lips nearly touching still, both of them smiling, shining.

“I have some comfier clothes you can change into,” Victor murmurs and licks his lips. “They’re laid out on my bed.”

Benji’s heart does a double take behind his ribs. “Oh. Yeah, great,” he says, mouth dry. “I’ll be right back.”

“And I’ll be right here,” Victor says as Benji rises from the couch.

 it’s been going for so long and ultimately has meant so much individually and differently to each and every fan. Here’s to the last 15 years for whatever season you started on if it be the first or if it be fifteenth. Thank you for being apart of something so much bigger and for being apart of this family.  Thank you to the content creators, the fic writers,the fan artists, the con goers, the wiki updaters, the casual watchers and so many more . The show wouldn’t be anything without you just as much as you aren’t complete you without it.

With Lydia and Scott off to college, it’s Stiles and Kira who have to hold down the fort - no matter how often Liam complains that technically he was Scott’s first beta. Nobody listens to him anyway. Especially not after he brought back Theo. Theo who is a goddamn pain in Stiles’ ass ever since school started again. 

And Stiles hates every second of it. His grades are amazing. He should have been allowed to graduate. It’s not his fault that he couldn’t go to school for three months. He was kidnapped! Kira was innocent as well, and as much as he hates to admit it, it’s not Theo’s fault either. He didn’t choose to be tortured by his sister for months. Still, just because Stiles admitted that out loud once, does not mean Theo is allowed to sit with them. Kira with her heart of gold, however, doesn’t like to see him alone. Begrudgingly, Stiles caves. 

Over time, Stiles warms up to Theo, and despite everything, he isn’t that surprised when Kira somehow manages to set them up. Even four weeks in, Stiles can’t believe he’s dating Theo, and that everything is peaceful, that everything is fine. 

That is, until the hunters arrive, and all hell breaks loose.   

Ok ok. Hold on. I’m not back back, but I’ve been doing a lot of debriefing with the friends and the tl;dr of where I’m at is this:

The show hit exactly where I thought it would and where I wanted it to hit with regards to heaven. Eternal sandbox. Awesome. Free real estate for fanworks. Cool. In this sense the mytharc and the metanarrative arc hit the brief conceptually.

The unforgivable sin Supernatural committed was abandoning the emotional threads. SPN is a character driven show and none of the characters got the resolution they deserved. But Dean and Cas in particular didn’t get the resolution they deserved. 

Oh but it’s off screen, they’ll get it. It’s implied. Yeah, I know. And trust me I’m writing that. But a text doesn’t get to shift it’s narrative coherence and responsibility onto its readers. A text, if it is to work, must maintain narrative cohesion. It must deliver what it sets up. 

I have so many more thoughts, but for now that’s all I’m gonna say. 

Thank you, everyone for your kind messages in my replies. You’re all the sweetest, and the reason we’ll get through this and produce some spectacular fanworks. No one can take that from us. 

Guess maybe the foreshadowing was this all along, huh? No one hands you anything, darlin’. I took it.
