Just finished reading The Promise of Forever and it was amazing! Congratulations you're very talented! I just have one question about it, did I misunderstand or Stiles dosen't want kids but Theo does? I always imagined the other way around.

No, you didn't misunderstand. Theo is the one wanting kids. My reasoning was that Theo, after being in therapy for a while and having gotten better in general, would want children. I actually can see him being a good dad in the future, even if far too overprotective, with the wish to be better than his own father. Part of him also might see it as the normal development in a relationship and part of being a family.

Stiles, on the other hand, still struggles with the horrors he's gone through. He's been possessed, saw his friends being killed, tortured and hunted simply for being werewolves. He knows that humans as well as supernatural creatures live under the constant threat of death. They have to hide who they really are. So, he doesn't want to drag a child into that world. If it's his own, he's most definitively also afraid because of the disease that killed his mother.

The other way around makes sense too. Theo not wanting a child because he doesn't want to share Stiles or because he thinks he's broken while Stiles wants a child. But in The Promise of Forever, I wanted to be Theo the one wanting kids. So, yah. Totally get both sides but I had to make a decision lol

Do you have any advice on how to write someone of something being throw around? Like "X punched Y, who was propelled backwards and feel to the ground (insert random distance) away from X"?

Well, there are a lot of options. I mostly try to focus on what/who causes the fall, the fact that they/it falls, what they think & feel and what happens next. I've just written something, so maybe that'll explain better what I mean:

From one second to the other, Theo ducks and lounges at Stiles. His shoulder crashes into his ribcage, eliciting a sharp pang of pain just above his heart. It takes his breath and balance. They’re stumbling. Stiles’ heart hammers against his chest, fingers and hands searching for purchase on Theo's shoulders, arms, sweater. His left foot slips on something, and he loses the connection to the floor. Theo lets go off him, gives Stiles' a shove and lets him fall. Just like that. For a second, it's like he's suspended in midair, nothing within reach that could stop it.

The ground does nothing to cushion his fall. It knocks the air out of him; all of it rushing past his parted lips at once.

As you see, I don't care about distance. It doesn't matter to the person falling or being flung across the room. They might think about it later.

Without further ado, Theo yanks the staff out of Stiles’ hands and throws it across the room. Like the kunai before, it clatters over the floor, then rolls until it bumps against the wall.

Same here. Distance doesn't really matter. What is thrown, who throws it and where does it end up. Those are the things I cared about in the scene because that's what the character thinks about in the moment. If you want to mention the distance, you should at it after. Maybe you could mention it like this:

When the pain faded, and he could breath again, Stiles looks up, stares at Theo, standing on the opposite end of the room. The distance seems surreal, too big. Theo couldn't have flung him that far.

Or something along those lines. I just try to keep in mind what's important right in the moment. Everything else comes later.

I wished something like this had happened in canon. I like Theo and Liam's friendship, but it needed a better development, as did Theo's empathy and everything else about him, and this would be an amazing way to do that! Theo getting closer to what was left of his pack and through that develop his empathy, then eventually becoming friends with Liam and others, expanding his social circle and creating a better future for himself would have been an amazing story!

What I had said was that maybe a reason why Theo stayed is because a part of him craved human connection, and the closest thing he had to that was with Liam. That bond grewn further during 6B, but I think just the fact Liam was around was enough for him to stay at least close to BH. That's how much I think he craved for an emotional bond. So even if he left, I think he would in BH's vicinity, and come back to fight the hunters, for Liam and himself.

Ah, ok. Well… I never saw that connection between Liam and Theo. I can totally see them being allies but that’s about it. What would’ve made sense for me is if Theo stayed for Corey and Hayden, tho. They were his pack, after all, and a storyline where Theo fought for them or made it up to them? Yes, 100%. Instead, the writers didn’t even give them a single scene together. Everything else? Nope, not good enough for me to have Theo stick around

Corey: Sorry I’m late- hey, wasn’t Theo supposed to come tonight?

Mason: He did.

Mason: He stayed for about ten minutes before he said, “I want Stiles” and left.
