I’m already imagining an argument between Luz and Amity because Amity unknowingly hung out with fake Luz who hurt her feelings cause somehow she knows that the real Luz is there and wants to cause problems for her to make her run back to the demon realm so fake Luz can continue her rain in the human realm. Real Luz tries to tell Amity that she has never and would never said any of those things and just wants to talk it out. But Amity is hurt by what she heard and runs off, leaving the real Luz alone and just as confused and hurt or probably more hurt.

Just a big fucking mess if I’m gonna be honest with ya, big angsty confusing mess.

Me: "There's no way that Amity could get tricked by Creepy Luz, she knows her girlfriend too well. If anything, she'll be the one pointing out that she's fake."

Eclipse Lake: *A villain tells her that Luz has been sending demeaning messages to her, and she believes them because of her insecurities*

Yesterday's Lie: *Is the episode where she'll probably meet Creepy Luz*

Also Yesterday's Lie: *Is the episode right after that one, making Eclipse Lake the perfect time for foreshadowing*

Although I think her surrender was a regression of what we saw of her in s1, I think it’s best she didn’t end him. Luz told Eda that he was just a sad boy, and well this may be a stretch but maybe Amity thought that Luz wouldn’t want this.

Cheesy, right? Nah, not really. I think that maybe she thought about how Luz didn’t end him. Over anything, Hunter knows Luz and she knows him. Now Eda, King and Amity know about him too. While talking about Luz, he doesn’t seem to say that he wants to end her or that she tried to end him. He just blushes and keeps upset.

I’m just trying my best to say that Amity thought about Luz. She wouldn’t want her to end him and Luz clearly didn’t do hard on damage to him; so maybe Amity just thought he’s not that bad. Luz is soft, but she’s got good judgment in Amity’s book.

Not only do I believe she thought about Luz’s judgment but I think she just reminded herself of the need for titan’s blood. Both of them need the blood. By breaking the key she got a portion of the blood and she of all people understands that this means a lot to Hunter. She helped him because she knows how it feels to fail someone, especially someone who counts and “cares” for you in some capacity. In this instance it’s Belos for Hunter and Luz for Amity, but I think we can agree she thought about her parents persistence to do “good”. Breaking the key gave them both an almost equal amount of the blood. They both got a portion, maybe not enough to have a whole key worth of it but they got what they needed in technical terms.

She went easy on him, but she knows he’s tired and losing hope of a future for himself. I personally think this was a wrong by Hunter. He could have accepted what Amity was saying and follow them to have him stay with them in the owl house. Amity knows that he has the chance to change. She gave him a choice to move past the mindset and “limits” given/set for him. Both Luz and Amity have given him advice and a chance/choice to change with them by his side as friends. Amity is just worried for him. She’s been in a situation like that and has made her way through it and changed with friends by her side. She gave him a look at a chance to do the same.

Hunter was just too set on not failing. He feels worthless, powerless and useless especially after having failed his last mission. He’s stuck in that hurtful mindset of everything being an opportunity and needing to always be useful or be replaced. After what Belos said, he’s kept his mind on the word replacement believing that he’ll be replaced. Which is what drove him in the episode, to be useful to avoid being replaced. Going after the titan’s blood was his way of being useful.

By sparing him, Amity let Hunter know that he can change and that he’s been given that chance, an opportunity to change. Along with that, she’s let him know that he’s not alone because she’s been through the same thing. We can’t say the same about Grom, Boscha, Odalia and Alidor. Her parents should have known they were damaging, Boscha was given multiple warnings and told to stop and Grom well, Grom is Grom you gotta fight em or let the Isles get run by fears.

Amity Blight can and will end you if you threaten Luz
