Also Whyborne & Griffin by Jordan L. Hawk is  a fantastic series with a wonderful and loving M/M main relationship, a badass female scientist best friend, eldritch horrors, magic and family issues all set in the late 1800s.  It certainly falls into ‘make Lovecraft spin in his grave’ territory and is a wonderful story also. 

i hope lovecraft can see racially and sexually diverse adaptations of his work like welcome to night vale and the shape of water being produced from where he’s rotting in hell and i hope hes crying

Oh ... oh my.  I can’t stop laughing.  This is too true.  Especially the ‘will murder enemies for food’.  No I have never run a bard character who tried to make a ‘will murder for food’ D&D group into an epic hero’s journey group.  no not at all.

You can also look and see if the local AARP group is doing tax help near you.  They often work out of libraries so you can check in with your local library or check AARP’s website.  They have a group of volunteers who will file your taxes for free.  Their target demographic is retirees and low income but the groups I have seen are pretty open to anyone.  I was working multiple part time library jobs and paying off student debt from my masters and they had no problem helping me.
