Summary - Living in District 4 you never thought you would have to worry about being selected for the Hunger Games. With a training centre right near the dock of the houseboat you lived and fished from, your district was known for volunteers who trained their whole lives for a shot at glory and riches. But at age 18, your name is called and no girls volunteer to take your place. Your devastation is answered when Kim Namjoon volunteers for the males shortly after. Tall, muscular, highly intelligent and charming, the years of diligent preparation have bestowed Namjoon with the expectation of being the next District 4 champion after Finnick Odair last won 3 years ago.

Fishing for a living has granted you skills with a knife but, as your mentor Finnick is quick to describe, your beautiful face may well be your best asset.

Upon arrival in the Capitol you are quickly faced with the reality that Namjoon may not even be the biggest danger inside the Arena. Especially when you capture the obsessive attention of District 2′s own volunteer, and killing machine, Jung Hoseok. Hope soon fades from ‘survival’ to ‘the mercy of a painless death’ but Hoseok certainly has other plans.

Yandere!Dante Sparda x Reader headcanons

❤ Dante, as a yandere, is completely delusional. Once he's fallen for you, he believes with 100% certainty that you love him back. However, on the off chance he doesn't, he knows you will, eventually. He can feel the chemistry and gravity between the two of you. This was fate. This was like, soulmates, right? It had to be. The person he's been waiting for all this time. His other half. His beloved. His dear. It doesn't matter how you met, just that you did. He can feel it in his heart, his soul, the cursed blood flowing through his veins. You were made for each other.

⚔ Dante is so delusional, in fact, that he truly doesn't believe he's doing anything wrong. I mean, he's the good guy, right? One of the sons of Sparda, a legendary demon hunter, savior of humanity. Sure, admittedly, he can be a bit of an ass, but, he'd never do anything bad. Especially to you! Everything he does is for the best, you'll see. You can trust him… Especially when he cautions you that the outside world can be dangerous, not everything is what it seems, that things can get ugly, and fast. You'd be so much safer by his side, y'know?

❤ Along with being delusional, Dante is also very protective. He can't stand it when you and he are apart. It physically aches. And no matter how much you insist, you can handle yourself, that you're fine, Dante can't help but worry - so much that he finds himself imagining worst case scenarios in the middle of missions, throwing him off. It'd be so much easier if… If he could have you. Have you and keep you, all his, somewhere safe and outside of contact with the outside world (because Dante knows he has plenty of enemies, God forbid they find out about you, about how much you mean to him.) Actually... That was a great idea...

⚔ He rules out his place. Too many people coming in and out, and too few people who would understand. As much as he loved Nero, and Lady, and Trish, and Nico… None of them would understand. None of them had a connection in their life like he had with you. He just… He just loved you so much. And he knew you felt the same. He'd do anything for you. And that's why he finds and unseals a Hell Gate, one far away and well hidden enough, one that leads to a massive, lavish castle with plenty of reinforcements. Perfect. It makes him so, so happy. He can feel the giddy energy tangling and bubbling within his chest. He'll treat you like royalty, darling. He promises.

❤ Dante waits, making his preparations and waiting for the perfect moment - and then he strikes. He takes you on a walk, trying to appear casual and hide his excitement, telling you he wanted to show you something cool… Which wasn't a lie! He can't hide his grin when he shows you the Gate, babbling to you about his plan. You'll be safe, and all his, and you and he can finally be together, forever - well, outside of when he has to go on missions, but he'll hustle right back! You seem confused. Or nervous. Dante understands, though! It's a big commitment. But you and he were in love, and you deserve this. You deserve to be loved, to be treated like royalty. He holds you tight, and you would have shaken in his hold, but his grip was so strong, inhumanity strong, as he guides you through the Hell Gate.

⚔ Dante feels bad for having to tie you up, but he had to after you tried to run! And though he may be a broke bastard, he gets only the best for his beloved. His restraints are made of soft silk. This is for the best. He understands, though, dear. You must be so nervous. Or embarrassed? Aw, babe, do you think he's out of your league or something? He tells you not to worry about stuff like that. He loves you more than anything. You and he belonged together. Forever. You deserve this, you deserve his love. And he knows you love him back. And he does his upmost to love you as you deserve to be - he pampers you, he brings you entertainment from the human world, and goes back to fetch things from where you lived prior so you wouldn't feel so homesick, he serenades you, he'll compliment and gush over you endlessly, and anything you want to talk about or do (except go back home and get yourself in danger, of course,) he's game! Well, when he's not lavishing you with kisses, that is. And he knows fully well that everyone at home was wondering where you were, the others, your friends and family… But, they didn't matter. They didn't love you like Dante does. This is for the best. All that matters is you and him… Now, you'll let him love you, won't you?
