It's so sad people get away from bsd because of negativity inside the fandom, there is a real issue with this. Not everyone needs to complain about some characters or send death threats to studio Bones (please don't) in order to be a part of it. Just like you don't need to talk to everyone and share their very same ideas to exist as yourself.

That's fine if you like some weird ship that nobody talks about. That's fine if you prefer the anime or the manga. That's fine if you don't like angst (or fluff on the opposite) like some other people. That's fine if your favorite character is Kaji. That's fine if you don't want to call your favs "pathetic". That's fine if you don't like something that everyone likes and vice-versa. And that's perfectly fine if you're not as viscerally passionate about it as some others are. Bsd is still (at least to me) an amazing story with a lot of very interesting characters but if you're not that attracted to it, that's okay. Not everyone share the same interests after all.

As long as you're enjoying what you are doing or seeing, it is all that matters.
