A cry in the night, made the dream awake, his fangs are sharp, his eyes are red,

He slithers out, from under the bed, the child is his, once again.

He is once more, the ruler of night, the terror seeps, into the child’s mind,

The mother comes, bringing the light, but child has gone, lost to the night.
