actually, frankenstein is the name of the scientist. the horrible emo monster nobody wants to fucking talk to is named lord byron
people will clown on me for this because he killed two people but I just love how sweet Rodya is. He is so cruel and mean and uncouth a lot or even most of the time, but then he does things like constantly thoughtlessly give the last of his money away to anyone who needs it more than him, cries when he’s in his psychotic episode and can’t remember who Razumikhin is, has that very sweet and tender moment with Polenka, begs the police to get a doctor for Marmeladov and says he’ll pay for it despite having nothing at all himself. At the same time he is capable of terrible things and is often terrible specifically to the people who love him and want to help, and oscillates wildly between the two. It’s that juxtaposition that holds so much of the interest of the narrative itself for me. A lot of people focus on how awful he is and while that is also honestly such a fun part of his character, that alone is not what makes him compelling to me. I have so much tenderness for his character despite what he’s done because he is just so mentally ill and has been through and been witness to so much hardship. He is not easy to love or understand but it’s so beautiful and sweet that Razumikhin, Sonya, his family and his other friends love him so dearly anyway. I truly think the suffering he is constantly surrounded by is the thing that has driven him to psychosis. Specifically I think of when he goes to the police station in part two and says he has been “shattered by poverty.” In these little moments of sweetness and lucidity towards others, even in the depths of his illness, we can still see the little boy in him who so desperately wanted to help that poor horse.

There's just something about the rubble only being visible in Fyodor's shadow in this panel.
Something about how he destroys everything he touches, about how misery and ruin is all he's capable of creating, about how everything that's happening, has happened, all comes back to him.
Shadows usually obscure things from view, but darkness is all Fyodor is, that's where he's revealed.

Just so yall know, whenever I say "oh they're just a silly little guy!!!" what I actually mean is "I'm aware of all of the atrocities they've committed, and all of the depth and nuance that they hold, and I love them for it" ok? Ok. Now let me enjoy my silly little guys they are so silly

ASAGIRI WHEN I CATCH YOU
ASAGIRI WHEN I CATCH YOU ASAGIRI
Low key the hunting dogs are so much further detached from humanity than I think we give them credit for.
Aside from the obvious dehumanizing of themselves to characters like Sigma or Kunikida, they also just treat their bodies like objects.
Teruko punctures her own eardrums without hesitation to protect her brain.
Jouno’s first thought when being lit on fire is using his blood to cool the flames.
Tecchou says that even if they knock him down from the helicopter, he’ll just use his sword to get right back up, not even mentioning the pain.
Tachihara stabs himself with his own ability to keep his cover. When the coin bomb explodes in his hand, he’s only mildly upset that it could’ve “messed him up”, before going back to what he was doing.
Fukuchi was willing to be the centerpiece of his plot for world peace, and intentionally took the blame. It’s no mistake that his plan included his death.
Beyond all that, Teruko describes them as slaves to society. Tachihara (and I think Fukuchi also does this) refers to them as the fangs of the government.
One of the translations of Fukuchi’s speech to Fukuzawa while he’s being interrogated is that the Hunting Dogs won’t rest until they catch their prey because that’s how they were designed.
Idk just something abt the silly dog soldiers and their own humanity. Not questioning it, that’s not their place. They already know that they’re weapons.

Oh boy.
Max copium! I choose you!
After the little scene with... Fukuchi, I did some slight research.
My conclusion? The ADA and verse will live.

As you can see, the symbol behind Fukuchi is the similar to a the symbol to the right, which belongs to a religion known as Tenrikyo.
Tenrikyo is a religion where their deity is viewed as the parent of all of humanity.

In the image above, you can see Fukuchi showing almost "motherly" care for Kunikida. As if he's comforting his hurt child.
When Fukuchi kills someone, they become bubbles and then he swallows them.

Bubbles, are clean and clear. The opposite of dust.
Now, I hear you guys "Eloqiu, what does this have to do with the ADA being alive? Are you off your meds?"
No, I am not off my meds, and let me continue.
Something to note about Tenrikyo, is that it doesn't believing the afterlife. It instead believes in reincarnation.

"The soul comes back to this world after borrowing a body from God."
Along with that:

When Fukuchi "kills" someone, the only thing left of them is their clothing. Which may be symbolic of death. (Osayama is the creator of the religion, for anyone who didn't know.)
And also...

(Which could mean that Fukuchi is still alive)
Taking in the reincarnation, bubbles, and symbolism...
Fukuchi is currently collecting the good deeds of each person. So that he can give them a new body. (AKA reincarnate them)
However, considering that the real Fukuchi is probably still in there, there's still a chance that this could be stopped.
So here's my (maximum copium) plan on how this will end:
The ADA must defeat Fyodor first, he seems to be thing that's ordering Fukuchi.
Once they've defeated him, the real Fukuchi will take back his body. (Most likely with some encouragement from the remaining Hunting Dogs, and Fukuzawa)
Then Fukuchi will release the souls by offering his "body from God", ultimately sacrificing himself.
The live happily ever after
Easier said then done...
(I did this all in like, 20 minutes. So forgive me if some information is incorrect)
EDIT:

I found this detail interesting, and decided to screenshot it. While I was researching any relations Tenrikyo had with books... (Like the book in the BSD verse)

(This was written by the creator of the religion. Featuring all the teachings of the religion.) Coincidence??? (Probably.) I THINK NOT!
(EDIT 2: I need a life...)

The god form of Fukuchi, was introduced in chapter 115. (Is that was chapter 114.5 exists? So that God form Fukuchi would be introduced at exactly chapter 115?)

oh to live in Marina's Marina and the Diamonds - Electra Heart (Deluxe) album

okay so i’ve seen alot of people theorize about sigmas real name/idenity/author he’s based off of, i usually see arthur conan doyle (author of sherlock homles) or ian fleming (author of james bond) bc of sigmas information ability, but sigma was born to be used for his ability, like how gregor samsa (the metamorphosis) was used to work for his family until he was turned into a roach and both sigma and gregor are used for what they can do and not themselves, also, the exact definition of “kafkaesque” is “characteristic or reminiscent of the oppressive or nightmarish qualities of Franz Kafka's fictional world.” and like sigma, he was thrown into a world that to someone who just came into existence with no memory what so ever, and considering the current events of the manga, is kafkaesque. because of theses reasons, that’s why i think sigma might be franz kafka. and there was an asagiri thing (idk if it’s a tweet or interview but oh well) where he mentioned being nervous to introduce a new character. i don’t know much about this since im not on twt but either A. it’s something completely unrelated, B. it’s a self insert and ill write another thing on that eventually or C, maybe it’s sigmas real identity outside of who he is now. sigmas current identity seems to be more of what he exists to do and not who or what he could be if he lived for himself (which also reminds me of gregor) so maybe when his real identity is revealed, kafka or not, he’ll remember who he once was before all of this. or maybe didn’t really have a purposes then either, im not sure. i haven’t read into sigma too much but from what i what i know, this is what ive thought of.
also if it is franz kafka im suing asagiri bc i have a bsd oc franz kafka and thats copyright (its literally his manga im joking)

He would say UwU unironically
Spoilers BSD chapter 117+118///
I'm curious if there is any reason why Amenogozen had told that entire speach to Kunikida specifically.
I know the speach exists to give the audience information about it, but couldn't it have told all that "the world is empty, you are empty" shit to Atsushi?
I originally didn't think much of it when 117 dropped, but since Amenogozen wiped out Tanizaki and Kenji without anything special like that leaves me confused.
This is 100% me grasping at straws trying to cope with how Kuni "died" without any backstory besides "used to be a math teacher and dropped out of college"
It makes me feel things that we have jack shit about who he used to be before the agency. Tanizaki got that whole reveal that him and Naomi aren't related so there is room to explore that.
Kunikida just has nothing before the agency besides "dropping out of college" and being friends with Katai. His time as a teacher was part time while working at the ADA. He clearly doesn't want to talk about his past, fuckin' why though? Is it boring? Is it traumatic?
If his past is nothing special then why keep it vague for so long.
