Caregiver!Hobie Brown headcanons!!

He loves to play his guitar with you (sometimes you put your ear defenders as it can get a bit loud for you but he tries not to be too loud all the time)

Hobie always sticks up for you if anyone is making fun of you and sings you a song to calm you down and gives you big hugs! (Then he takes you to a toy shop)

He loves to give you piggy back rides to the park and sometimes stops on the way to your favourite garden

He always tries to help you whenever you get too stressed like take you out of the house (either going to the museum or the toy shop to buy more pacifiers or stim toys)

Hobie made you a whole shelf where you can put all your pacifiers and stim toys there so you don’t lose them

He sometimes likes to make you plushies in his spare time and surprise you with them either on your birthday

Hobie always wants what is best for you and always wants to make you happy

Sometimes when you are bored, you and Hobie do some colouring and then maybe decorate some of your pacifiers with stickers

At night, Hobie likes to read you a book about the different animals and maybe sometimes takes you to the farm to see them in real life (a take lots of photos)

🕷🕸Little!Miles and Cg!Hobie headcanons🕸🕷

-Miles gets really shy about regressing. Like, really shy. He hides his gear very well in a bag under his bed.

-He doesn't have a lot of gear, it's just a baby pacifier he got from the corner store and a diy sippy cup made from a regular thermos and a silicon straw. But even though it's not a lot, he still feels the need to hide it.

-Miles' regression is mostly voluntary, but once he's in little space he can't exactly "snap out of it" quickly. He usually waits until he's alone at night on the weekends to regress, after patrol or a super villain fight.

-Miles tends to go non-speaking when in little space, in part because he doesn't like how he sounds when he's small. The way his voice cracks and goes up several octaves makes him feel even smaller and makes him afraid that someone will find out.

-The first time anyone found out that Miles regresses, it was Hobie and it was an accident. He'd stumbled in on Miles in the middle of the night and found him curled up in his bed, paci in mouth, watching baby sensory videos on his phone to help him calm down after a big fight.

-Hobie never really thought he'd be good at taking care of anyone, but he really enjoys being Miles' caregiver.

-Hobie calls Miles a whole assortment of nicknames, including "sunflower", "kiddo", "li'l man", and "love".

-Miles likes to color a lot when he's little. Hobie gets him a coloring book and assorted coloring supplies(he stole them but Miles doesn't need to know that).

-Hobie is not a perfect caregiver at first, but he learns quickly. He learns how to stand on the delicate balance of being caring and loving, and being patronizing. Thankfully, Miles is very forgiving.

-Hobie likes to carry Miles around. Miles is overjoyed to be carried.

-Once Hobie takes Miles out swinging while regressed. He loses Miles almost instantly though, and finds him thirty minutes later playing on a construction crane as if it's a jungle gym. Hobie makes a note to invest in one of those backpack-leashes.

-Hobie gets Miles more little gear, like a teether(shaped like Spider-Man's face, ironically) and a couple of board-back storybooks from a thrift store, and a box of bandaids with comic book characters on them.

-Miles loves gifts when he's little, but when he's big he panics a bit because he's getting more things related to his regression and its going to get harder to hide it all. He can't bring himself to refuse the gifts, though.

-Eventually, with Hobie's help, Miles tells Peter and Gwen(and Pav, on accident) about his regression. And suddenly he goes from being alone most of the time to almost always having a caregiver on call.

Of course 🕸️that's not too specific at all! I'm sorry it's taken me a minute to get to, but I hope you're feeling a little bit better :) And I hope this is okay!!

Given that he's Spider-Punk, he'd have immaculate music taste and once he gets to know you, shares it with you too! It's something you bond over, even if you're not exactly into the subculture just yet.

He casually recommends you some bands like the Bad Brains, or The Muslims, just because it's stuff he thinks you'd be interested in. You give 'em a listen and after just general interest, you find yourself falling deeper into the culture as a whole. It's not just about the music of course, so you delve a little deeper into what it actually is.

Once you do though, your kind of unsure of what it means to you. How to really immerse in it. So much of it resonates with you and you want your own perception of it, but you're not quite sure where to start. That doesn't mean you don't have a good example though! Hobie's a ton of inspiration.

I can imagine that when he finds out, he's nothing but supportive. Like, he gets genuinely excited, eyes lit up and everything. He has someone who's into the same thing he is? Hell, yeah he'd be into it. "Wait, really? Thas' amazin'! No, really. You think I'd lie to ya? Pfft no chance mate. I'm just excited we got somethin' in common!"

He'll try to hang out with you more often now that he knows you're both into the same thing! Not only is it something you can both talk about, but it brings you closer.

He doesn't mind at all if you take inspiration from him or "copy" him. He knows it's not the easiest to figure your way out with this sort of thing. He wants you to have your own thing, but he's cool with it either way. Even giving you some advice and especially helping you out whenever you need it.

Brings you to his shows and even teaches you how to play if you're interested! (Or if you play a different instrument, you play together) If music's something you bond over that is. If not, he finds other ways to share it with you/get into it.

Fuck societal and gender norms, you two do whatever you want. The more people who're just utterly confused, the better because hey, it's not their life!

And fuck capitalism too, in every way. You pirate, help out those who need it whenever you can regardless of their "status," and just do/be whatever you want. That's the whole point of it anyway, and Hobie couldn't be happier to do it with you.

And really, you both are like two peas in a pod. Different yeah, but always there for each other. You're friends! And being a part of the same subculture only brings you closer together. Even if you weren't, you'd still be close, but it's just nice to have that. Plus, Hobie's got someone else to relate to and he wouldn't trade that for anything 🖤

ੈ✩‧₊˚ hobie tries to provide his little with as much gear as they need. he knows how to sew so he often DIY's the majority of the gear he gives them!!! (ex. blankets, stuffies, clothes, anything made with fabric!!)

Just a ramble on Punishment stuff mostly (No physical/corporal punishment mention dw :D, entirely baby-safe) I feel like Gwen would be SO BAD at consequences. They listen to her bc she's scary, but when they actually break the rules she's like "Jeepers, what do I do now "

WHICH IS WHERE HOBIE COMES IN

I feel like he'd be really good at coming up with punishments that are effective but work for kiddos. Like, ex: Miles can't handle time-outs bc he feels like he's being abandoned again, so they do 'Time-in's where he has to just sit down with a caregiver for a little while and calm down/relax, and then talk about what happened or if it's a less serious offense they can just play quietly/color for a bit to calm down and then talk about it.

Pav has a hard time remembering to use his inside voice but doesn't take it well when people tell him to be quiet/quiet down, so they created a secret sign for when Pav is being too loud (Hobie does the little frog blink, twice) and it's like a code for Pav. Pav gets excited bc he feels like he's a little spy on a mission, remembering his cues, and the point still gets across without anyone feeling bad.

Miles has a hard time remembering all the things he has to do, so Hobie has sticky notes reminders in place and set up a sticker chart for him, so that he can approach responsibilities in a healthy way without feeling overwhelmed and having positive motivation to do things. Pav and Miles both had a bad habit of staying up super late and then not being able to function the next day, so Hobie's punishment for staying up past bedtime is that they're forced to have regression night the following night, no matter what, and they have to go to bed an hour earlier.
