As A Special Pedagogy Student, I Can Say That It's A Very Common And Successful Way Of Rewarding Kids
As a special pedagogy student, I can say that it's a very common and successful way of rewarding kids for doing something or just behaving correctly
When they get a sticker, let's say because they cleaned their desk, they learn that their behaviour is being rewarded with something they like, instead of stickers we can use candy/toy/a trip. They will be repeating correct behaviour to receive the reward
It's called operant conditioning, more detailed, positive reinforcement
I don't know why I wrote all that, maybe because I wanted to explain why the stuff works, or just wanted to show off hihi
The day planner of "You did it!" stickers has begun ๐

Yes. I gave myself a sticker for doing my job.
