She ran through the mansion's corridors, the front of her extravagant dress in her hands, the fabric swaying side to side with every movement. She wasn't running out of fright, but instead out of the desire to get away, to become invisible.

"Wait! Come back!" Her lover shouted out, his face laced with concern as he chased after her.

"Leave me alone, Yunho!" She dashed into a side room, trying to close the door when he caught up to her. The man pried the door open and entered quickly behind.

"Why did you run away?" He asked, voice calm despite his slightly staggered breathing after running for so long.

“I saw the way those women were looking at you at the ball. They’re gorgeous and from great wealth. I don't why you would ever choose me. I’m not smart. I'm not pretty. I'm not...” she cried, burying her face in her hands and falling to the floor.

“That simply isn’t true,” he said, sitting on the floor and caressing her shoulders, “You have introduced me to thoughts and wisdom beyond what I could have ever conjured. You are more beautiful than any woman there by far. You are more wise than Athena and more breathtaking than Aphrodite in my eyes.”

Her hiccups continued as she became engulfed in his words, never finding comfort in anyone quite as much as she did in the man before her.

“How could you ever love me?” She said between hiccups, “What could possibly make you view me as desirable in your eyes?”

He gave a small smile, his own eyes pricking with tears at the sight before him, “My darling, you are my world. On days I feel down you are the sun, giving way to all life, warm rays enveloping all that they can touch, providing great comfort to all that feel it. The days that I feel angry, you are the ocean, providing calmness and comfort, a steady and reliable force. On days I am happy, you are the fire, igniting every part of me, making me feel alive and invincible. On days I act without thinking and make foolish errors, you are the thunderstorm, stern and firm, reminding me that there is more to life than what I see before me. You are all these to me, and for this, I have always loved you. There has never been any way for me to stop. There has never been a desire for me to stop.”

Her eyes still watered, but her hiccups subsided, further and further believing that the man before her could by no measure be real. And yet, he was. She lifted her head and felt her heart break as she watched a tear fall down his face. The man cupped her cheek, his hold gentle as if he might scare her away.

“You will never know the breathtaking beauty you behold in my eyes, and I’m afraid there will never be the words for me to convey such an unyielding emotion. No actions will ever be enough to prove to you the degree to which I cherish you, but I will say so everyday. I will tell you until you believe this yourself. You, my dear, are forever deserving of love.”

He reached out for her small hand, rubbing small circles on her soft skin. She looked at the motion, a slight smile on her lips at the act of comfort.

“Beautiful.” He said, meeting her eyes, “Deep down to your soul.”

She took a deep breathe to calm herself, thinking there might be at least a little truth to his words. If a man such as he could love her, perhaps she had more worth than she gave herself credit for.

He moved the hand resting on her face underneath her chin, tilting her head upwards, "You are the only one for me."

He kissed her, and she happily returned the action. The kiss was soft but strong, taking her breath away.

"I am so in love with you, my flower."

She looked down, feeling shy, beginning to play with the hem of her dress, " I love you, too. So much."

Although she mumbled, the man could still hear her. He felt the urge to kiss her once more, and so he did.

"Why don't we head back?" He asked, "And I want you on my arm, so I can show off that I have the most wonderful woman in the world to call my own."

She giggled slightly, a faint blush on her cheeks, "If you insist, my prince."

"Oh, my darling, I do."

What are u planing to write next? 💚

I’m glad you asked!! In a few days I’ll be posting a fanfic about emo Hongjoong with fluff/angst/smut. Maybe crack? Probably not but who the hell knows lol.

After that I’ll be making an au post with Wooyoung as a doctor and it’ll be fluff/smut.

I’ve been in a HUGE fluff mood recently so definitely expect more solely fluff content afterwards <3

Being a fan fiction writer is typing ‘me’ instead of ‘my’ and then laughing far too hard at the sentence I’ve just made that’s like:

I shook me head

And instantly imagining y/n as a pirate and then getting distracted for the next ten minutes thinking what would happen if I placed a pirate into the random scenario I’ve created

✨Happy New Year Post!✨

Happy New Year’s Eve everyone!! This year absolutely sucked, there’s no use beating around the bush, but I wanted to thank everyone for their support. I started my account late this year and didn’t really expect anyone to read anything of mine or even interact with me at all. I wanted a place where I could write without judgment or fear and I’ve most certainly found it. Thank you to everyone.

I want to mention certain blogs that I really admire and have just fallen in love with. If for some reason you haven’t heard of them, get on that because each one of them are so amazing.

To the people whose fics I’ve binge read so many times I can’t even keep track: Thank you for the effort and hard work you put into your writing. Every time one of you post it actually makes my day. Your posts inspire me to work harder so that one day someone will look up to my work like I work up to yours. Thank you. @latte-fairytaekwoon @serendipityunho @mingishoe @ateezmakemeweep @lustjoong @vocalyunho @starrychannies @ithinkilikeit-reactions

To the people I’ve had the pleasure of talking with and getting to know even a little bit from my time here: I admire all of you so much. From your kind hearts to wonderful writing, your posts make me so happy and never fail to inspire me to work harder. Thank you for being you. @yeochikin @actuallythatwaspromise @cappujinho @masterninjacow

To @atzinc : Thank you so much for accepting me and reblogging my posts. It’s meant so much to me over these few months.

To my closest friend here: I’ve known you for so long that it really feels like I’ve known you forever. Thank you for all the wonderful memories we’ve had together and I can’t wait for all the new ones we’ll make. @onceonafullmoon

To my current followers, or anyone who followed me at one point: Literally just thank you so much. There’ve times where I have been so down on myself and my writing but I’ll look at all the people following me and just feel so honored that so many people deemed my work good enough for them to follow me. You’ve made me happier than you know.

I will be posting one more fic before New Years (basically right after I make this post) and I have several lined up already for 2021. I will also be starting a choose your story series for ateez which I am SO excited to reveal soon!!!

Overall, thank you to anyone who messaged me, liked or reblogged any of my posts, or even visited my account at all. I’m a sensitive bitch so I’m gonna stop here before I start crying. Thank you all. I wish you so, so much luck in 2021. Much love.

~Doe ♥️

To all the fanfic authors who write some variation of “aNd yOu cAN iMaGiNe tHe rEsT” to indicate more suggestive endings:

No. No I cannot imagine the rest. I am very uncreative, you see, and desperately need you paint out the setting and event in great detail for me. Please elaborate, I beg of you.

It’s Not Just The Coffee~

ꕥPosted: 1/11/21

ꕥGenre: CoffeeShop!au, Fluff

ꕥPairing: FemReader! x San

ꕥWord Count: 1.3k

ꕥWarnings: None

ꕥTagging: @midzyatiny

ꕥA/N: For those that don’t know, San has said before that if he wasn’t an idol he would be a barista, so that was my inspo. I wrote this while listening to Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop by Landon Pigg and I highly recommend listening to it while you read this, if you so desire :))

image

There was always something about that coffee shop that kept me coming back.

Maybe it was the homey, rustic look of the store or their creamy, rich coffee. Perhaps it was the gentle jazz music in the background or the adorable little plants they had displayed in their windows. Or maybe, just maybe, it was the cute barista that led me to return.

How Have You Bean was not only the cutest name for a coffee shop ever, but the name of this particular coffee shop. The one I happened to stumble upon when I first moved to town two months ago.

It was horribly cold that day. Due to the bitter cold and snow, I ran inside the nearest open building in search of warmth. There were only a few people there, mostly college students quietly discussing their upcoming assignments. I debated on whether or not I should order something. I’d be rude if I simply stayed and didn’t order anything, right? I walked to the counter and saw a male employee with his back facing me.

“Sir? I’d like to order if you don’t mind?”

The man turned around I couldn’t help but stare. I had never seen a man with such gentle yet stunning features. His eyes formed crescents as dimples on his face appeared.

Damn. Who is he?

“I don’t mind at all. How may I help you miss?”

Of course his voice would sound like honey.

I placed my order and he smiled. “You’re new around here, aren’t you?”

My brows furrowed. “What makes you so sure?”

“I’ve worked here for quite a long time. I know every customer, but I’ve never seen you here.”

“Would you believe me if I said I’ve been here before? Just not when you’re here?”

“Nope.” His answer was immediate, “If you did, I would know.”

I smiled, “Alright, you omniscient being. How much do I owe you?”

I paid and he asked for my name. I gave him a quizzical look and he explained that he needed my name so he could write it down on my cup. I blushed slightly and told him.

“It’ll be ready in no time, miss.”

“Thank you,” I looked down at his name tag, “San.”

His beautiful smile returned as I called him by name. My heart fluttered and I sat down at a nearby table. I began to twiddle my thumbs as my head wandered to him. It was a habit that I’d never been able to rid myself of.

Is he single? Should I ask him? What if he says no? Maybe I should just approach him as a friend?

I tried my best to stay level headed and not completely fawn over him.

There’s absolutely no way that he’s single. With his looks and kindness, I’m sure someone is already hopelessly in love with him and I’m sure he feels the same.

I didn’t realize I was frowning until San was standing in front of me with my coffee in his hands, asking if I was feeling alright.

“Oh! Of course!” I said, unconvinced by my own feigned happiness.

San gave me a look I couldn’t quite place. He glanced back at the empty counter and sat down on the chair across from me.

“If you don’t want to talk I understand, but I don’t like seeing people sad. Is there anything I can do to help?”

The genuine look in his eyes made my heart swell. I never believed in love at first sight before, but I had no doubt that’s what this was.

“Ah. Well...”

The man waited patiently, not pushing me to say anything.

“I just moved here and I’m a little nervous. I don’t really know anyone. And you’re kinda cute and you’re making my heart beat really fast.” I whispered the last sentence, not wanting him to hear me, but he did. A playful gleam lit up his eyes and his mouth formed into a crooked smile.

“Cute, huh?”

My eyes widened and I buried my face in my hands. “Oh god I didn’t mean for you to hear that.”

A moment of silence followed my confession, each passing second building my regret of saying it in the first place.

“I think you’re beautiful. Especially with the blush that I can tell is lighting up your face right now.”

“Nooo now I’m going to blush even more.” I giggled out of nerves.

San gently removed my hands from my face. His playful smile was still there, but his eyes had softened.

“I need to get back to work, but I’d like to see you again. I’m here most days so...yeah. Come and visit anytime. It was wonderful to meet you, miss.”

I gave a shy smile and responded, “You too.”

And so a day later, I returned. It became a habit of mine to visit San at the coffee shop at least twice a week. Seeing his bright smiles and deep dimples always seemed to remove my worries and stresses without fail.

Sometimes we would sit down and talk, other times we wouldn’t get the chance because of the exorbitant amount of people ordering coffee, keeping him busy. But the occasional glances and smiles in my direction made it all worth it.

One day, when the coffee shop was empty aside from him and I, I found myself sitting on the counter and tasting new coffee mixes that he was concocting.

“Mmm! This one is amazing!” I pointed at the small cup in my hand.

He gleamed, eyes widening, “Really?”

“Oh my god yeah! I think this is my favorite.”

San leaned down on the counter next to my legs, propping his head on his hands and looking at me with starry eyes, “What is it you like about it?”

“Well, it’s not too strong, to start with. I hate black coffee so automatically any coffee that isn’t black gets points in my book.”

He smiled, “What else?”

“I like the slight hazelnut taste. Hazelnut coffee is one of my favorites.”

He nodded, appearing deep in thought, “It’s one of mine, too.”

“You have good taste, sir.”

His handsome laugh rang out through the shop and I couldn’t help but laugh as well.

“I’d love to teach you how to make it but my boss would probably kill me if I let you touch anything without you working here.”

“I mean...you could still show me. I’ll just watch.”

“You’re a clever girl, aren’t you?”

I felt my cheeks flush and I giggled, “Oh shush.”

“Watch what I’m doing very carefully okay?”

“Okay.”

San went about making a cup of coffee, instructing me on all the steps that he followed previously. When he was done he placed a lid on the cup, handing it to me.

“Oh I can’t accept this. This is too big of a big cup to take for free. Here, I’ll pay you for it.” I reached for my purse.

“Nope. On the house.”

Smiling at him I tilted my head, “Are you sure?”

“Absolutely. Although, I’m not quite done. There’s still one last step.”

“What’s that?”

He leaned towards me, “The last step is to ask the pretty girl in front of me if I can kiss her.”

Flustered, it took me a minute to process his words, “She says yes.”

I set my coffee down and placed my hands on his face, moving him closer to me as his lips touched mine.

His lips were as soft as I had imagined countless times, the taste of coffee lingering on his lips.

San pulled back, much to my dismay, and I noticed the slight blush dusting his ears.

“I’ve never seen you flustered before, San.”

“What? I’m not flustered.”

“Your pink ears say differently.”

He covered his ears with his hands and giggled, “You’re gorgeous, how else would I react?”

I shyly tucked my head in my hands, letting out an excited squeal.

Anyone from the outside would’ve probably thought we were still young teens who’d never felt butterflies before, judging by our pink faces and shy laughs, our lingering touches.

Confidence growing, I pushed myself to ask, “Can...can you kiss me again?”

“I would love to.”
