"The Barbie Movie Just Makes Fun Of Men" ACTUALLY The Barbie Movie Makes Fun Of Ignorance And Sexism.
"The Barbie movie just makes fun of men" ACTUALLY the Barbie movie makes fun of ignorance and sexism. The Barbie movie makes fun of ignorance of the other gender from both genders, like how Barbie was constantly assaulted in multiple ways when she was in the real world. And how Barbie was also ignorant to Ken's feelings. The movie is saying that in order for true gender equality to happen, both sides need to treat each other equally (by both sides I mean people who identify as female/feminine and people who identify as male/masculine). The people who are saying/complaining that the movie just made fun of men are the ones the movie was making fun of.

I hate Belos but I gotta admit those AU's where he's got a frenemy relationship with Luz and Hunter are kind of interesting
Pov: Toh fans who compare Luz's and Hunter's trauma realizing their trauma isn't meant to be compared and that just because Hunter went through more than Luz doesn't mean that her trauma is any less important and also it just isn't cool to compare trauma:

This is actually so important
In all seriousness though---
Korra got a ton---and I mean a TON---of hate, for daring to be a headstrong, non-genderconforming woman of color. So forgive me if I don't react well to "korrasami doesn't deserve it"
Korra already fought through enough misogyny and racism while it was actively airing. She already got enough criticism for not being the "target audience" of 8-12 age males who buy action figures. She already got enough criticism for having flaws as a woman, for not "acting ladylike". She already got enough criticism for not being white or white passing in a show that has ZERO white characters. So when you come at korrasami fans with "they don't deserve it"? Don't be surprised when korrasami fans look at it with a lens of suspicion, because korrasami already fought through the criticism, already fought through being stuck in the "dead slot" air time in nickelodeon (which they were moved to in season three, when the show runners actively started hinting at a wlw ship), already fought through being pulled off air and onto online viewing only, in 2014, for those of you who are a bit young. (Obergefell vs Hodges, the Supreme Court case which legalized gay marriage nationwide in the US, happen on June 26, 2016). "They only held hands in the finale" because that's all they could get away with at the time. They were the FIRST. Bubbeline came later. Rupphire came later. Catradora came later. There are still no notable mlm ships in children's media, so the work ISN'T done. Korrasami fans "screech and yell" at you for not understanding because you accuse them of "queerbaiting" without understanding that they were the FIRST in their time to OPENLY hint at being gay on a a children's television network. In a time, for most intents and purposes in the US, being gay was still ILLEGAL.
And by the way? The Owl House, a recent, animatec children's show on Disney, was recently canceled for not being "the Disney brand". It features a bisexual woman of color (in an EXPLICITLY wlw relationship) as the main character, not unsimilar to Korra. Misogyny is not dead. Homophobia is not dead. Know your history, and know the work isn't done.
Hey, maybe instead of critiquing the finale how about we all appreciate how much love and care was put into it despite Disney beating it into the ground. Istg I'm so sick of seeing people complain about the finale y'all it didn't even come out 24 hours ago and you guys are critiquing it how about you stfu. If it was a normal episode it would make sense but some of you guys just can't stop yourselves. This was the LAST EPISODE guys. Just shut up and appreciate it.
Since WAD is 15 minutes away for me, I just wanna list everything I hope will happen or atleast be implied in the next episode.
•Luz and/or Camilla comforting Hunter about Flapjack's death. Since they have personal experience with losing someone I think it'll be fitting.
•Raeda wedding or atleast getting together. This needs to happen. Please Dana.
•Amity and Luz NOT breaking up because istg they've developed so much together and individually I cannot see that all get thrown in the trash.
•A parallel to this scene

But instead with Luz and Belos because Eda and Lilith are parallels to Caleb and Philip and so are Luz and Hunter and it would be old views on magic vs. new views and it would show just how far Luz has come with her magic and fighting skills and just jsjshdhd I would just appreciate it if it happened.
•Luz finding a way to travel between the human and demon realm PLEASE DANA I BEG OF YOU PLEASE
•Luz learning that she is important and that all of her friends love her.
•All of the mian cast getting therapy. Not just the kids but the adults too. They all need it.
•I need a beautifully animated scene of all of the kids reuniting with their family members or a drawn version by Dana in the credits.
•Hunter and Luz standing up to Belos.
•Lilith and Hunter being shown that they still are traumatized from their time working under Belos and maybe for them to relate to each other about that and fix their relationship.
•And obviously Evelyn and Caleb backstory, tho that for sure is happening like c'mon guys.
•That's it.
