The first time Joshua knew that something was off was at your birthday party 5 years ago. When you talked too fast, often times you mixed up the names especially the similar ones. You nearly forgot the cake in the oven. Luckily your cousin noticed it. During the party, he thought you were just too excited or too stressed because you wanted it to be perfect. You’ve always been like this.
But when you were alone in the kitchen after everyone had left, you asked him about the special occasion of the party. You couldn’t remember it was your birthday.
He had laughed and thought it was a joke. But it wasn’t.

the whole room is dark, except for the faint glow of your phone. you lay in your bed, scrolling through absolutely random trivia reels. cheol's laying beside you, one arm thrown across your waist as he cuddles into the heat of your body. he should have been sound asleep by now. but he's only halfway through there, being pulled back to wake by your questions.
"cheol?"
he hums back, voice thickly layered with sleep.
"what color do you think i am?"
the room turns silent. you wait for a moment.
"cheo-"
"blue. you seem like blue to me."
"why blue?"
"cause, to me, blue means calm, peace, and secure. like i dont have to worry about anything. like i can let down all my thoughts to rest for a while. and you feel like all those things to me."
you just hum back in response, the next question thats displayed on your screen preventing you from thinking over his words.
a minute passes before you ask again, "cheol?"
"...yes, love?"
"what icecream flavour am i?"
a beat passes before he replies, "you're cookies-n-cream. because you're soft and sweet, with a little crunch at times."
you hum yet again, registering his answer.
"plus, its your favourite," he adds, which brings a soft smile to your face.
you turn your attention back to your phone, searching for the next question.
"cheol...?"
"love.... how about we go to sleep now, and i'll answer all your questions tomorrow?" he asks, looking at you with eyes drooping with sleep.
you just smile and nod, turning off your phone and keeping it aside before you get back into bed. as soon as you lay down, seungcheol's quick to snuggle into your side, his face nuzzled into your neck, his breaths tickling you. you take a look at the sleepy man with you before closing your eyes.

"yes, my love?
"...i love you."
he doesnt respond immediately, but you feel him smiling into your skin, his breath hitching for the slightest of moments before returning to normal as he mumbles back.

Since its onset, we've faced a relentless cascade of losses. Our lives have been emptied, and the dreams we once pursued now seem like unattainable fantasies.
We were displaced from our home, and tragically, we lost our new home as well—a place we had worked tirelessly to create, hoping it would become a sanctuary where we could build beautiful memories.
Here is two pictures of our new home once i captured it in November and the other one on january, our buliding is destoryed more than it was.
Despite being displaced from our home by the presence of occupation forces in our area, we found refuge in the home of relatives. Our lives have been repeatedly endangered by barbaric bombing campaigns. We narrowly escaped death twice during sudden tank attacks. Additionally, we endured intense bombardment while trapped inside our house, enduring a harrowing four-day siege.
Despite the immense difficulties, my family and I insisted on staying in Gaza, facing the constant threat of bombings and the scarcity of essential resources. Now, after nine months of siege, we are on the brink of famine, struggling to find basic necessities like food, water, and medicine. We've decided to leave Gaza for our safety, but the high costs of coordination are a barrier.
My professional life has been utterly decimated. For three years, I thrived as a user interface designer on freelance platforms. However, since the onset of this war, my ability to work has been obliterated. The occupation's relentless bombing campaigns have ravaged internet infrastructure, rendering it barely functional. Now, even basic online tasks are nearly impossible. Consequently, I'm left without any financial means to sustain myself. What's even more disheartening is the realization that even after the war concludes, the road back to work will be fraught with obstacles due to the extensive damage inflicted upon network lines.
I am reaching out, seeking your support to help my family and me coordinate our exit from this dangerous situation.
