Written for the March 2021 Drarry Discord Drabble Challenge: Please | Warnings: Fluff...a lot of it | Author’s Note: This was the first thing I wrote in over a decade. “Please?!” Scorpius hopped from one foot to the other behind Draco, a huge grin splitting his cherubic face. He rushed forward and settled himself between Harry and Draco, resting his back against his father’s knee.

“Oh, Harry, please you must say yes!” He exclaimed, bouncing in place. His small hands reached out, trembling in his excitement, as he grasped Harry’s hands where they were held gently in Draco’s.

“Harry,” Scorpius stared up at Harry with a sudden seriousness as he took a deep breath, “You have to! We can be together all the time and go visit Grandmother and go flying and eat ice cream! And you can tuck me in every night and read me stories because you do the voices so much better than Father does!” Harry bit his lip to keep from laughing aloud as Draco scoffed.

“Oh, please! Please, please, please say yes,” Scorpius begged, his eyes widening and beginning to glimmer with tears as he gazed unblinking at Harry, awaiting an answer.

Harry smiled, his eyes softening as he gently wiped away a single tear that had begun to roll down Scorpius’s flushed cheek, “Of course, Scorpius. Yes.”

“Yes!” Scorpius squealed, jumping up and wrapping his arms tightly around Harry’s neck and placing a smacking kiss to his cheek. He spun around and bestowed the same exuberant kiss upon his father, “Father, he said yes!”

“I heard,” Draco replied, laughter in his voice as he smiled at his son.

“I have to go tell Rose!” Scorpius turned around and tripped out of the room to find his best friend and tell her the news, his high voice echoing in his wake as he screamed out, “Rose! He said yes!”

Harry chuckled as he looked at Draco, still kneeling before him with the golden ring in his hand. Draco reached for Harry’s hand once more, gently kissing the tips of his fingers, “I haven’t even asked the question yet.”

Harry grinned, fingers caressing Draco’s face as he leaned down for a deep, lingering kiss. Drawing back slowly, Harry breathed out, “So ask.”

“Will you marry me, darling?”

Their lips brushed together again as Harry whispered, “Yes.”
