Harry being completely overwhelmed after the war because now he can actually enjoy life and notice the little things.

During fall he jumps around with Ron in piles of leaves, and ultimately it gets into them throwing leaves at each other, and maybe a little gets under their shirts but neither of them minds. Harry eats lots of treacle tart and chocolate and sleeps as long as he can before Ron or Dean wakes him up by smacking him with a pillow. They need to run to class, and usually they don't make it in time because they need to stop catch their breath in between their laughs. And if McGonagall sends them a glare, who cares?

During winter if Harry's not having a snowball fight with the Gryffindor boys, he's wrapped up in a blanket, his Weasley sweater on, a mug of steaming hot chocolate in his hands. His nose is cold and runny and for the first time in his life it feels like the biggest problem ever. But luckily the long and pale arms that Harry had grown familiar with around his waist help that problem a little ㅡ and the little pecks to his nose. Just a little.

During spring Harry's happy because he can see and feel the sun and the grass starts to turn greener and the faint wind blows into his face just the tiniest bit. Harry goes flying with his friends, and his breath is caught as he remembers how flying makes the adrenaline rush in his veins and how it demands everything from him: every breath and every thought. For the first time he can just enjoy his life without the constant threat hanging on his shoulders, without fearing that he should start to get prepared for the final fight as the school year comes to an end.

During summer Harry enjoys the last days spent in Hogwarts with his friends, swimming in the lake or lounging under the sun, drinking some lemonade. Harry can smell the flowers and fresh grass and on the final day of school Draco shows Harry how to make a flower crown. The sunset is wonderful and Draco is telling Harry how beautiful he looks and Harry is in his arms and for the first time ever Harry doesn't fear anything. Not really ㅡ Except that Ron could run from behind a tree and throw Harry in the lake.

Harry: Draco, what the hell are you doing in my dorm.

Draco: Shhh be quiet I’m reading. It’s a very good book. It’s enemies to lovers.

Harry: It’s not what you think.

Draco: Damn, so you’re in love with somebody else named Draco Malfoy. What are the odds?

It is exceptionally lonely, being Draco Malfoy. I will always be suspected. There is no escaping the past.
