I Just Posted A Chenford Fanfic I Wrote For Mothers Day. I Did It Especially For Those That Struggle
I just posted a Chenford fanfic I wrote for Mother’s Day. I did it especially for those that struggle with Mother’s Day for any variety of reasons. I hope everyone can enjoy it though, regardless of your motherhood experience.
Just like all of my stories, it has a happy ending. It felt good to write Tim and Lucy in a healthy relationship again. Hopefully I can do more of that, and we can see more of that in canon going forward.
Here’s how it begins —
It started off as little things that Lucy saw on her social media – birthstone jewelry, mother/daughter matching outfits, Etsy shop specials on personalized mom shirts, mugs, and picture frames. All of them crept into the ads on her phone in April to allow plenty of shopping time. At first it didn’t bother her; she just kept scrolling. But as May drew closer, the ads and the chatter about Mother’s Day started to accumulate.
She never used to mind Mother's Day. She would get her mother some flowers and call or visit her, ready for the sound of disappointment in her voice or the click of her tongue as she shook her head in shame. It had been that way ever since she had started at the police academy seven years ago. Lucy usually volunteered to work that day so that her colleagues that were mothers could celebrate with their families. It was easier to stay focused on work that day than to have to deal with her mother. This way she didn’t have to trudge through guilt trips from her mother or be surrounded by families out celebrating their wonderful mothers. It was just simpler not to have to think about it. In fact, she was proud to work that day and looked forward to seeing her colleagues’ posts and shared pictures of what their children did for them. She hoped that one day the tables would turn, and she would be the one staying home with her little children

If 6x10 doesn’t deliver, I may be rewatching this scene dozens of times between now and season 7 in January. I rarely get teary watching shows, but this scene got me.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐈𝐄 6.09 - ᴛʜᴇ ꜱQᴜᴇᴇᴢᴇ
I’m afraid I can’t make up my mind to any of these questions - hence the daydreaming.
The boss big bad? I really want it to be Elijah. He’s so good at being evil.
But, if he’s the boss, then wouldn’t Monica have asked him to look I to who was trying to kill her? They’re at the same jail.
I would also love to see Monica put in jail. But that may just be a pipe dream.
Other possibilities? Primm. Man, I would also love to see Primm be the big bad. Then so many other things would be called into question.
I’ve seen a lot of talk about others, including Pine who I think is less likely.
Thanks for taking the time to answer, Susie!
So many things could happen in the finale. I kept finding myself daydreaming up possibilities instead on focusing on the task as hand.
Soooo… I’m going to continue to distract others, too. Here are some questions you consider answering.
1- What do you think the cliffhanger will be?
(My only hope is that it doesn’t involve Tim or Lucy. They’ve both had a rough go of it this season)
2- What do you think the trilogy is that Max Geo has teased about for Chenford?
3- Do you think the BOSS Big Bad will be revealed? Any predictions for who it is??
Asking the hard hitting questions Virginia??
I very nearly didn’t answer, as I’m not very good predicting Alexi and co. But I’ll give it a shot.
2. I can only think of a third first kiss for Chenford, perhaps after the thrill of the chase our battle couple succumb to the feelings they’ve held back for weeks in the heat of the moment? That’s what my sad little romantic heart needs any way. It obviously won’t fix everything, and S7 hopefully will see a permanent resolution
1 & 3. I actually believe the identity of the big bad will be the cliffhanger. Unfortunately I also think it will be Elijah since Monica is obviously an instrument of evil, not a mastermind, and they have a connection to each other as well as hatred for Mid-Wilshire Division.
Now back to you? What have you been dreaming up in this regard?
Thanks for the ask, and I hope the distraction is only temporary, we need your wonderful fics to continue 💜
Everyone prepare your clown makeup 🤭
With the finale right around the corner, what are your wildest predictions for the episode? Feel free to clown as much as you want.
And if you could have one scene in the finale, anything you want with any of the characters, what would it be?
Clown around, huh? Hmmm...
Okay, my most ridiculous but plausible suggestion for the Big Bad Boss is Nyla. She would make an amazing criminal mastermind. I know it isn't her, but I could even see her rocking super heroine style full body spandex well. A super, super villain. Am I right?
Slightly more realistically, the Big Bad could be Bautista's wife. She plays the fashionista by day and is a criminal mastermind by night. But her husband has no idea that she's doing any of it.
Le Fiera and Abril and Rosalind were all great villains, but they're all dead, so I guess those aren't good options.
It would be a fun twist if Ray was also working for the Big Bad or was the Big Bad Boss. Ooooo.... Or Greer who started all the dominoes in motion for Tim's fall/breakup/emotional implosion and then skipped town with no consequences. What if Greer was the Big Bad? Hmmm...
Not clowning - I think Elijah is most likely, but I want it to be Primm. And I want him to be caught and for everything he's done to be critically analyzed, including the detective's examinations.
I'd like to see Celina screw up (like she's been doing all along), and for there to be actual big consequences. She needs a push to start following the guidelines/protocols better, and Nolan needs to see he's not that good of a TO.
I'm looking forward to the Tim/Lucy action scene that we've seen snippets of so far. I hope it leads to an open, honest conversation about their feelings. I don't think they should be totally back together yet, but I'd like some actual conversations and honesty and forward progress.
Well, I've got 6 hours and 15 minutes to go until it airs at my house. Decent chance none of the things I mentioned above will happen. But it's fun to guess.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I am definitely not the one in charge around here.
What are your thoughts????
Happy watching!

Awwww. Thank you so much! 🫶🏻😘🥰🫶🏻
Awww. Thanks for quoting me, @arch78. This is one of my favorite scenes of this story. They’re SOOOO awkward. It makes me miss writing for this story.
Things have been crazy at my house for the last couple weeks, so I’ve hardly had any time to write. Plus, my muse seems to be on vacation. Perhaps I’ll carve out some time to write again today or tomorrow. My antibiotics are helping me to feel more human today, so anything is possible.
Thanks again.
He was wearing dark jeans and a short sleeve gray Henley. His hands were resting on the desk, and he squeezed them into fists a couple times causing the muscles in his arms to ripple. The Henley was just tight enough to show that he was chiseled like a Greek God. He had a Dodgers hat on and was staring down at the desk. He turned his head to look at someone near the door that Lucy couldn’t quite see, and then he looked down at the desk again, flexing into fists once more. Jackson’s whisper into her ear brought her out of her frozen reverie. “You’re drooling, Luce.” Lucy blinked a couple times and brought her hand up to her lips. “What? No. No. I’m not,” she stage whispered back, wiping at her lips again. Jackson chuckled a little louder and stepped forward toward the desk. That laughter and movement caught Tim’s attention. He looked up at Jackson and smiled. It was a small smile of greeting. They had obviously talked for a few minutes before he came to get her. When Jackson stopped at the desk Lucy took a couple of slow steps forward. Bradford looked beyond Jackson and saw her. Lucy was frozen in place again. Their eyes locked for a moment. Lucy felt an immediate connection as she gazed into his smoky blue eyes. She felt her skin start to tingle all over. She slowly started to smile, eventually blooming into a large smile that almost made her cheeks hurt. He followed suit, gradually showing a brilliant white smile that would disarm almost anyone.
