Awww. Thanks for quoting me, @arch78. This is one of my favorite scenes of this story. They’re SOOOO awkward. It makes me miss writing for this story.
Things have been crazy at my house for the last couple weeks, so I’ve hardly had any time to write. Plus, my muse seems to be on vacation. Perhaps I’ll carve out some time to write again today or tomorrow. My antibiotics are helping me to feel more human today, so anything is possible.
Thanks again.
He was wearing dark jeans and a short sleeve gray Henley. His hands were resting on the desk, and he squeezed them into fists a couple times causing the muscles in his arms to ripple. The Henley was just tight enough to show that he was chiseled like a Greek God. He had a Dodgers hat on and was staring down at the desk. He turned his head to look at someone near the door that Lucy couldn’t quite see, and then he looked down at the desk again, flexing into fists once more. Jackson’s whisper into her ear brought her out of her frozen reverie. “You’re drooling, Luce.” Lucy blinked a couple times and brought her hand up to her lips. “What? No. No. I’m not,” she stage whispered back, wiping at her lips again. Jackson chuckled a little louder and stepped forward toward the desk. That laughter and movement caught Tim’s attention. He looked up at Jackson and smiled. It was a small smile of greeting. They had obviously talked for a few minutes before he came to get her. When Jackson stopped at the desk Lucy took a couple of slow steps forward. Bradford looked beyond Jackson and saw her. Lucy was frozen in place again. Their eyes locked for a moment. Lucy felt an immediate connection as she gazed into his smoky blue eyes. She felt her skin start to tingle all over. She slowly started to smile, eventually blooming into a large smile that almost made her cheeks hurt. He followed suit, gradually showing a brilliant white smile that would disarm almost anyone.

Everyone prepare your clown makeup 🤭
With the finale right around the corner, what are your wildest predictions for the episode? Feel free to clown as much as you want.
And if you could have one scene in the finale, anything you want with any of the characters, what would it be?
Clown around, huh? Hmmm...
Okay, my most ridiculous but plausible suggestion for the Big Bad Boss is Nyla. She would make an amazing criminal mastermind. I know it isn't her, but I could even see her rocking super heroine style full body spandex well. A super, super villain. Am I right?
Slightly more realistically, the Big Bad could be Bautista's wife. She plays the fashionista by day and is a criminal mastermind by night. But her husband has no idea that she's doing any of it.
Le Fiera and Abril and Rosalind were all great villains, but they're all dead, so I guess those aren't good options.
It would be a fun twist if Ray was also working for the Big Bad or was the Big Bad Boss. Ooooo.... Or Greer who started all the dominoes in motion for Tim's fall/breakup/emotional implosion and then skipped town with no consequences. What if Greer was the Big Bad? Hmmm...
Not clowning - I think Elijah is most likely, but I want it to be Primm. And I want him to be caught and for everything he's done to be critically analyzed, including the detective's examinations.
I'd like to see Celina screw up (like she's been doing all along), and for there to be actual big consequences. She needs a push to start following the guidelines/protocols better, and Nolan needs to see he's not that good of a TO.
I'm looking forward to the Tim/Lucy action scene that we've seen snippets of so far. I hope it leads to an open, honest conversation about their feelings. I don't think they should be totally back together yet, but I'd like some actual conversations and honesty and forward progress.
Well, I've got 6 hours and 15 minutes to go until it airs at my house. Decent chance none of the things I mentioned above will happen. But it's fun to guess.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I am definitely not the one in charge around here.
What are your thoughts????
Happy watching!
What’s your biggest pet peeve regarding fanfiction story lines, like what is one thing you hate writers doing
Thanks for the ask, Anon.
Happy Mother’s Day, everyone.
Although my typos don’t always show it (Sorry. I do try to catch them), I think grammar and using words correctly (their vs they’re vs there) is important. For me it distracts from the story if I’m constantly editing in my head.
As far as storylines go? Hmmm… I’m not a big fan of over the top, melodramatic stories - the type when the writer goes a bit too far into hyperbole.
I really love stories that are written in character and feel like another episode of the show.
Now, obviously AU is not going to feel like the show, and I love a good AU (and have written over 250k words of AU), but I love an AU where it just feels like the characters were zapped from The Rookie universe into another one. I think that’s one of the great aspects of fanfiction: you already know and love the characters, so it’s easy to jump into another story about them since you know their foundation and personalities.
Thanks for the ask!
SPOILER for the The Rookie 6x10
I’m sure I will have more thoughts on my rewatch.
1- I need to stop ‘prepping’ for episodes. I get so disappointed from the cast’s teasing/promos/interviews leading to pretty average scenes. I hate that feeling of disappointment.
2- I’m happy that Tim and Lucy are talking. He told her he was in therapy and it was helping. Excellent progress. He told her he would spend his life trying to repay her kindness. Very good. But I was honestly expecting a little bit more because of bullet point #1. Yet again he left the conversation without letting her have her say. Let’s stop the one-sided conversations, please.
3- Their action scene was great. Not quite as awesome as 5x22, but Lucy’s jump was epic. Her risking her life to save his is 💯 on point for their relationship.
4- That was the least dramatic cliffhanger ever. I will NOT be on the edge of my seat until January over that. But thank the heavens that it wasn’t Tim or Lucy in peril of some sort. That was my one wish that came true for this episode.
5- Still no reveal of the Big Bad Boss? They just keep introducing new characters (and killing them off) to make this complicated web of evil, and we still don’t know who the true brains behind the operation is.
6- Geeeeez. Monica is in the wind, so we’re going to have to deal with her dominating the scenes again at the beginning of season 7. 🤨🙄
7- If I were Oscar, I would TOTALLY have picked Elijah as my muscle over Jason. Elijah has muscle AND money (on the outside). What does Jason really have to offer Oscar once they’re outside? He’s just a liability.
Now I’m going to go watch it again with my husband and I may be back with more thoughts. Sending out love and virtual hugs that this is the last new episode for 8 months. 😢🫶🏻🥰
