So I've made this drawing specifically so I can talk about the way I interpret / imagine Willy, based on Tim Burton's movie, so if you'd like to know more, read below !

Starting from his childhood. He was very much attached to his mother and spent the most of his time with her, which his father absolutely didn't like. He respected her more, loved her more, and listened to her more.

⠀⠀⠀His father was not only extremely strict, he was also emotionally abusive and very manipulative. At some point, in order to get rid of his wife ( I called her Madeline ) , he gave her an ultimatum, so that in both cases, he'd be the winner. She disappears one day, closes the door and never comes back.

Willy was too young to remember her, and she becomes one of the parts of his past which he chooses to forget and lock away in his deepest memories.

⠀⠀⠀As he's a little older, he grows extremely resentful of other children and often spends his time alone in his

room, crying bitterly about what he could have had and what he lives instead. His father's absence is most of the time similar to his presence, and no matter what Will does to impress him, it is always met with disappointment. He even tries to become the very embodiment of perfection for his father, and yet, even that was never enough.

⠀⠀⠀At some point, he runs away from home, which is, deep down, a way to try and get his father to react and to show that he cares, at least once. But he never does.

Realizing he's not welcome in his own "home" anymore, he later on becomes a foster child and is taken in by a woman called Linda, whose biological son is called Paul.

⠀⠀⠀Willy lives with them for a while and goes to school, but he's bullied there for not being "manly" enough, among other things. The violence even happened right under the eyes of Paul, but he never reacted or even minded. When asked by Linda what was going on, Will exploded and blurted everything out, yelling at Paul to tell her the truth.

⠀⠀⠀But he denied everything and said that Will must be feverish again. She tells him to calm down and reminds him of the times he's deliberately hurt himself on his own, and of the fact he's always been envious of Paul. She tells him that it is wrong of him to frame his "brother" this way, and Will is shocked that she wouldn't believe him when he's clearly saying the truth. But he tells her that she most certainly would favor her biological son.

⠀⠀⠀He runs away again.

Later on, he gets serious more and more about the business he is starting, and even gets into temporary relationships only for his own benefit and gain. At this point of his life, he wakes up everyday as his success grows, hoping that his father is / burning / upon seeing him shine.

⠀⠀More and more, he believes himself to be superior to everyone else around him, ghosting every person he used after he got what he wanted from them.

⠀⠀⠀The / only / relationship he ever was serious about was the one with Michael Henderson, which was a secret. But everything spiraled down

when he discovered that Michael was planning on marrying a woman named Elizabeth; the heartbreak he had experienced was so profound he almost chose to take his own life, but decided against it, because he still had a lot to achieve.

He was supposedly meant to meet with Michael in order to speak about the arguments that kept on happening, and solving every problem that they had. But that night, he snapped and stabbed Michael to death, never knowing whether Michael had lied to him, or to Elizabeth,

because he comforted Will and wiped his tears, during his last moments.

⠀⠀⠀He doesn't stop there.

He even goes as far as learning everything about Elizabeth, knowing that she had a sister who had always been jealous of her.

⠀⠀⠀He goes as far as framing her sister for Michael's brutal murder, going unsuspected, for he was a secret himself, and murders Elizabeth too, after telling her that Michael had lied to her and never loved her, assuring her that he wouldn't let "Michael" be the last word she ever utters.

On a psychological side, Will shows traits of ASPD (antisocial personality disorder) , narcissistic personality disorder, and also paranoia. He doesn't trust / anyone / , especially after he had to deal with the thieves.

He absolutely / despises / children , and feels endlessly bitter and jealous towards them. By getting rid of them, he fully believes that he's making the world a better place, with a little less trash on top of it. He only kills them out of pure hate.

He would, without any hesitation, get rid of anyone who turns against him.

⠀⠀⠀There are several layers to his personality, and layers to the layers themselves, to the point it's barely even possible to pinpoint what he really is like. He puts on way too many masks.

He may appear as charming and absolutely adorable on the outside, silly and even nonsensical. He can just be a troll. But this is all a veil to a much more cunning and dark person with a twisted view on reality.

⠀⠀⠀He usually has a lot of control over his emotions, and chooses what he wants to show and what needs to stay hidden, but if he ever lashes out, his anger is explosive and destructive, and can quickly escalate to rage.

⠀⠀⠀Naturally, he needs someone to replace him once he's dead. But the kid he chooses won't be seen As his own person, but as a smaller version of himself, which he will mold to be exactly like him, as delusional as it sounds.

⠀⠀⠀He would believe that this child has no free will and will not live unless he does so under his own standards and commands.

Up to this day, he still didn't find the courage to confront his father nor even get rid of him, because as soon as he faces him, he seems to revert to his younger self, unable to find the courage to act as he wants to.

I imagine that his life would end around his 40s,

He would lose interest with everything around him and his boredom would just envelop everything, even his passions. Nothing would seem to catch his attention anymore, and he would either take his own life, or be murdered.

Appearance wise . . I imagine his hair would be curlier, messier. Not like in the movie. His eyebrows would be thinner and his irises would be of a lighter color, lilac instead of purple. His facial features would be more delicate in general.
