in one of the episode chat noir smelled ladybug

Steaming hot take

Marinette is creepier w adrien than chat noir is w ladybug.

Like Thomas really had to make Marinette a stalker? Really? Like i don't even blame Marinette for this.

I don't understand Adrien salt. They always make Adrien even worse than in cannon. I'm literally not an Adrien Stan, i find that chat noir can be really pushy at times.

But he's never broken into Ladybugs house (tbf he doesn't know where she lives) smelled every object of hers going "mmm ladybugs ___"

Marinette salt can be just as bad but a lot more often than not it comes off just as well as in cannon.

This is why fannon is better than cannon.

Because they don't make Marinette a literal fucking stalker. They don't make Adrien a pushy toddler.

Except for when they do and they turn it up way farther than cannon ever has.

But tbf that's an issue w salt in general

The only good salt is Lila salt and that's cuz the writers have already made Lila the worst possible Character ever

She didnt reval because it wasent. apart of the plan to keep them safe

Ephemeral Reveal Hot Take

So, I'm honestly happy that Ephemeral ended with a retcon. Because let's be honest: That reveal should not be allowed to be cannon. I don't think anyone will disagree with me that, we all want the reveal to be the ultimate moment of trust betweent the two of them. The moment where they both admit how much they can rely on eachother to keep eachother safe and don't need to keep secrets from eachother anymore.

this reveal, was many things, but it was most definitly not that about trust. They tried to sweep over it by having marinette change her mind later. But what happened was a simple act of manipulation and betrayal by Marinette, who basically defrauded him of his secret identity. The whole thing happening under false pretenses that it would be a mutual trust deal, only for her to reveal she never intended to trust him in return. To further take away the one thing Adrien knows, while keeping him in the dark as he's been since day one. It would've been one thing if the shock of it being adrien caused her to chicken out from nerves, that would've been forgiveable (and admittedly in-character), But as it's explicitly clear that marinette never intended to reveal herself...

And yeah, Marinette does come clean later. But the key-word there is later. Only when she realises that it's Adrien, only so she can date him. Not because they trust eachother but because the power of ladyboners is stronger then Su-Han's orders. I don't trust Su-han, I don't trust the order in general, but i especially don't trust his suspicious reasonings. I just hope that whenever the reveal happens for real, his cultist ass has nothing to do with it.

This dosent even make sense. How does it concern his life? How was ths LB fault. She is the gaurdian and su han came to her. She needed vipirons power and she wanted to made sure they were all safe. Did you forget the part where she called chat 16 times? I dont get what the problem was? Told him what truth? She was doing what her higher powers were telling her.

So, Ephemeral was an experience. Can I just say that I'm really salty about Marinette's/ LBs initial plan to tell Su Han Chats identity? Because chances are she wouldn't have told Chat about the whole deal: He would've told LB in confidence, trusting her, not knowing, that there would be a third person with LBs instructions/ blessing to be a part of that conversation. Chat wouldn't have known that there were two people knowing his secret identity. This is what I call manipulating and purposely deceiving someone.

This falls back on Marinette's/ LBs way too complicated way of thinking that has been shown before. And it shows that she does not, in fact, trust Chat Noir.

Trusting him doesn't mean telling him "I trust you with my life", because at the end of the day? Those are just pretty words that are worth nothing if not followed up with actions.

She could have/ should have told him the truth. Trusting him to come up with a shared and consensual plan or to tell Su Han himself or to at least consent to her overly complicated plan. But no. She chose to go behind his back.

Yes, she is the guardian. Does it mean that she has to share everything with him? She should, if she wants to uphold the "we are partners farce", but thats just my opinion. I know thats a difficult point. And I can get behind some arguments arguing the opposite. But this one? This has everything to do with Chat and his identity, his life and safety. This concerns him more than her, so yeah, I'm salty.

The whole "It didn't happen at the end so all is good" does not work for me because the only reason it didn't happen was because Marinette/ LB didn't factor in the possibility that she'd be surprised or that she'd knew Chats identity. She went with her new plan after putting 2 + 2 together and realising that whatever happened with the timelines was a direct consequence of Chats identity reveal and not because of some kind of "this is not fair on Chat Noir"- epiphany.

She wasn't even planning on revealing her own identity. Not even for those few seconds it would have taken Viperion to reset the timeline. Komm schon!

Disclaimer: I'm not salty on main. No, Chat is not perfect either, yes I've been Adrien-salty before.

marinette = Ladybug

Marinette's, not Ladybug, personality revolves Adrien. Her character motivations, and actions revolve around Adrien and nothing else in her life , excluding being Ladybug. If she wasn't Ladybug, most of her actions and ideas would be about Adrien and nothing else, not even her fashion designing career.

Man, they really did her character dirty.

he doesn’t need an apology when this was the only way he actually tried to change

Okay okay last post about this lol

But like?? I kinda wish ladybug apologized to chat for throwing him in the trash then throwing him on the roof in said trash bin

Like i get its frustrating to be shipped with someone who you only see as a partner, but that's not chat's fault. Chat may have encouraged it a bit (bc as lb knows, he's in love with her), but chat wasnt the one to put up the billboards, or the photos on ladyblog (props to her for making alya delete them tho), or even declaring them as couple of the year despite the fact she declared they werent on a news broadcast.

And yk what?? Chat apologized for crossing her boundaries and was even working towards a healthier way of expressing his feelings for ladybug by the end. And while LB recognized that, she felt no remorse towards how she treated him so unfairly despite being a victim in the same situation (bc yk he is. Just bc he doesnt mind it, doesnt mean he isnt affected negatively like, say, being targeted by an akuma for hanging out with another girl instead of ladybug)

Like LB's anger is valid, I'm just saying Chat is owed an apology for being manhandled like that

Anyways, LB shouldve thrown Andre and his ice cream in the trash instead 😌

Ladybug told him to stop MULTIPLE times throughout the series and NOW he decided to listen when she did that. Also it’s a cartoon, like y’all take the exaggerated part lightly. I never thought of anything serious bc of it.

In the balcony scene chat was being annoying to her. you took that out of context.

Marinette wasent happy that he was sad. Like she thought she could cheer him up. But kagami literally used that sintiuation from her manga and used that situation so mari could ask him out. I don’t see how that is any better. Adrigami tried and failed.

Why would she apologize for be aggressive when he actually finally listened to her? Why would she feel remorse. it’s only an invitation for him to annoy her again.

Also this episode doesn’t show her obsession and she kinda stopped it. The only way she can get real consequences for it if she got caught

I need to get this off my chest. But first, let make this very clear to you.

Ladybug had every right to call out Chat Noir on his incessant flirting. It was about time that his flirting was addressed.

HOWEVER, Ladybug throwing him in a trash bin wasn't justified at all. And I can't believe that a lot of people actually found what she did to be acceptable and justified. Her calling him out was justified l; her throwing him in a trash bin and then violently shaking it to take him out was not. Would you like it if someone threw you in a trash bin? Hm? 🤨

And that doesn't end there. When she sees Adrien looking all sad, what does she do? She was HAPPY to see him sad and decides to take advantage of his sadness by giving him a present while fantasizing about it. This scene made her look like an opportunist, honestly. She didn't give a damn about Adrien's feelings. Compare this to Kagami who told Adrien this: "If there's something wrong, let me help you." Really, Thomas? I don't understand how you still expect EVERY fan of the show to root for Marinette and the love square while you also expect us to not root for Adrigami when you make Kagami more straightforward and honest about helping Adrien while making Marinette make a romantic fool of herself in front of him and not caring about his feelings, just her own.

Speaking of that, in the practice scene on the balcony, she tells him that his feelings don't matter and that it's about her, and then proceeds to shout at him by saying that it's not about him. Wow. Hypocrite much?

These scenes made me unable to enjoy the Marichat scenes, TBH. And when she told CN about her boy problems, I couldn't sympathize with her. Not only because of what happened earlier in the episode, but because the show in general treats her boy problems as if they're more serious and important than Adrien's family issues and even her own struggles as Ladybug.

In conclusion, Chat Noir promises Ladybug to stop acting all flirty with her and apologizes to her about it. While I find it disappointing that he's still pursuing her, at least he did tone down his flirting A LOT in subsequent episodes. Which is a surprise considering this show's lack of consistency and development.

Meanwhile, Marinette shows no remorse for being aggressive with Chat Noir, doesn't apologize to him, faces no consequences and learns no lesson at all. For the longest time, people have been saying that Adrien doesn't face consequences. Well, there you have it. Will Marinette ever face consequences for her constant obsession with Adrien? I highly doubt it considering that Thomas sees absolutely nothing wrong with her behavior...

he gave her permission to practice on him

Okay, so the main takeaway I'm getting from gifs and reactions of Glaciator 2.0 is that it further emphasizes how Marinette is a huge hypocrite and kind of manipulative? Like okay, she has made it clear she has no feelings for Chat Noir at all yet thinks it's perfectly okay to use him as practice for asking out Adrien since Chat doesn't know that she's Ladybug. And not only that, but Chat explains to Marinette how much he loves Ladybug and is afraid she hates him but she states how that isn't true. This isn't wholesome, this is actually all kinds of messed up!

And that's not even the worse. Just like in the first Glaciator, the writers had a chance to FINALLY do reverse love square (even though it would have been more effective the first time around) but what do they do despite having Chat and Marinette spend a whole day together and clearly form a connection? They have Marinette keep pining for Adrien and have Adrien refusing to move on from Ladybug despite there being a better option right in front of their eyes!

Geez louise, the way the romance is written in this show is just awful! Seriously, how can people who work in this show not see the glaring issues with the romance?!?! I've seen preschool shows that have better written romance!

Y’all she did develop. She didn't go with the plan and realised that she is overcomplicating things and asked him about fishing. Part of her character is being emotional and crazy but she acknowladged her mistakes by saying she is doing way too much

Look, I’m all for the love square, but this is getting kinda… repetitive? And I don’t find Marinette’s psychotic plan to sabotage Adrien into giving her attention cute, or funny? I was really starting to like Marinette in season 4, what happened to that?

Ladynoir was always my favorite part of the love square, and now they’re kinda killing that off. I’m hoping that at least it leads somewhere, like a big breakout into Ladybug realizing how much she cares of Chat Noir… Or something like that, I don’t know. For now, that side seems to be falling apart.

I just. I don’t know. Currently I’ll keep my hopes up and momentarily I’ll focus on Adrien (and Plagg because it’s the best duo) and ship things on the side. I hate that there’s so many things about this show that could be so great, but just aren’t.

Simpleman was a dumb episode (sorry) and the only thing I could enjoy in it was Adrien. I waited for this thing.

I don’t want to be too negative about this because it’s still my favorite show currently and I want to believe in Ladynoir but… some things, man.

Can we just make Marinette normal? I don’t want her to be perfect, to be an angel, to not have personality flaws… I just don’t want her to have that *massive* of flaws, you know? Like yeah, she could be a little vain, maybe she could have some insane ideas, but not to that degree. Really? Breaking his wings so that he could get her help again and thank her again? That sooounnnddsss… Uh, like a crazy person, pretty much.

Adrien, my beloved. And Plagg. Their backs must hurt a lot from carrying this show.

That’s all.

she isn’t a mary sue tho? She isn’t a stalker and the only reward she can get is being with adrien. A consequence is she gets nothing and nothing she did worked. Her having a lot of power ≠ mary sue. How is she being famous and a successful family = mary sue? That is the ladybug power not her. Also she does get consequences lol.

how is lila more interesting than marinette at this point

1. she took his phone to delete a message and it was shown as bad and knowing his schedule for the next three years is impossible so it’s obviously exaggerated. In that scene she wanted to protect him against lila not stalk him. The show is exaggerated and humor is subjective. Also she had growth and development.

2. Kagami and her weren’t friends and kagami wasn’t exactly nice to her either. Also Mari did apologize and they became friends and values her friendship with her. Why would she ignore lila if it bothers her? Using and lying to her crush? Mari is 14 and one of the things is she acts by emotions. She got called out and lila deserves that. Don’t lie! simple!

3. Marinette didn’t cause riposte at all. Kagami was a sore loser and that is that. Adrien won and she got mad. Marinette did cause gamer she competed like everyone else and won. Honestly the intentions of these DO matter. Most of these was bc it was simply a misunderstanding, or there being sad they lost. It isn’t fair to count these.

4. This is normal. People do these things to wax statues all the time. They yell, they touch it and say werid stuff to it. The hair is what she thought was wax. People do that to poasters too. The thing that made it creepy was that it was adrien.

5. no she dosen’t have problems nor is she problematic.

Reasons why Marinette I hate Marinette

Marinette is a fan-favorite among many, so I’m going to tell the fandom why I hate her. curse words censored for the young people of the fan base

1. She is, very clearly, a stalker.  I’m tired of people just not getting that. She has willingly stolen Adrien’s phone, knows his schedule for the next three years, used trash bins to watch him in his own home, and gets overly offended when anther girls comes to close to him. It’s ridiculous to see people defending her with “She’s a teenager!” or “She just loves him a lot!” because that is stupid reasoning. You can’t defend her stalker behavior towards Adrien by saying shes only a teen, because name one teenager in real life that you’ve seen whose done this. And before someone says that it’s just a tv show so everything is just exaggerated and her behavior is supposed to be played off for laughs, which would be fine, if what she does is funny. Watching someone in their own home because someone else is with them isn’t funny. Kissing something that looks to be statue of your crush is creepy. Using your super-hero identity to humiliate a girl who shows interest in your crush is awful, even if that girl is hated by most of the fandom. If the genders were reversed, and Adrien/a gender bent Marinette watched Marinette/ a gender bent Adrien, the show would be cancelled instantly.

2. She’s honestly a jerk sometimes. I’ve said this once before, and I’ll say it again, she was a b!tch to Kagami in Ikari Gozen. She intentionally sabotaged Kagami and her’s chances to win at the friendship treasure hunt, and she talked bad about Kagami behind her back to Alya. Why did she sabotage their chances? Because Marinette can’t understand that other people are allowed to have a crush on Adrien. Marinette was worried that if they won, Adrien would think Kagami did all the work and pay attention to only Kagami. Which was f**king idiotic because if Marinette knows so much about Adrien, she should’ve known that Adrien isn’t a d*ck and wouldn’t do things like that.  I said this in reason one, but I’m going to go more into it. She used her Ladybug identity to humiliate Lila. She could’ve ignored it, being the bigger person and let Lila lie. She could’ve kept to herself, being the only one who knew Lila was lying until sometime in the future everyone else figured it out. Honestly, she could’ve just laughed to herself any time Lila brought up being friends with Ladybug, and she could’ve, again, been the bigger person. Marinette could’ve just ignored Lila, she could’ve tuned her out, and just wait for her lies to tumble out of control and to blow up in her face. But, Marinette humiliated her in front of her crush. I know it’s Lila, and about 95% of the fan base hates her, but that’s a really sh*tty thing to do, no matter who it is.

3. People got mad at CHLOE for causing akumatizations, but no one seems to care how many Marinette/Ladybug caused.  If you hate Chloe, I’ve seen that a common reason is how many akumatizations she’s caused. But everyone seems to forget that Marinette has caused some herself. Volpina, Gamer, WereDad, Riposte, Backwarder, Dark Owl, Queen Wasp, Animaestro, Santa Claws, Christmaster, Antibug and Evillustrator to name a few. Though, in her defense (wow never said that before) in Evillustrator, it was mainly Chloe who got Nathaniel angry, though Marinette did help make it worse by tricking him. That’s 12, 11 if you don’t count Evillustrator, akumatizations by Marinette. I would list all the people Chloe akumatized, but I don’t really have the time for that, so I did research and found out Chloe caused 14. Basically, Marinette caused two less than Chloe. Before anyone insults me, calling me stupid because “Marinette didn’t mean to cause those akumatizations! Chloe meant them all!” An akumatization is an akumatization no matter what. It doesn’t matter if it was on accident, on purpose, or just a misunderstanding, she still caused them.

4. Puppeteer 2 Yeah, that episode gets it’s own section. I know people must be tired of the Puppeteer 2 slander, but I have to mention it in my reasons. The episode is just…. Jesus Christ. It’s easily the worst episode of Mlb for me. I hate it more than pretty much everything else I hate. First, we all know it’s wrong to kiss a statue of your crush? Right? We get that? Good. So basically, Marinette sees a statue of Adrien, and like any normal person with a normal, non-stalker crush on someone, goes to kiss it, and pockets one of his hairs. Again, things in kids shows are obviously extra exaggerated for comedic purposes, but F**KING H*LL THAT WASN’T EVEN FUNNY??? I get cringy things tend to be extra cringe in shows like this, just so everyone can laugh about how awkward it is, but does no one think this is crossing many lines? I saw someone on reddit say “Marinette kissed him and Adrien didn’t pull back!” Well yeah. He was in shock. Think of it in Adrien’s point of view. You’re about to do a prank on your good friend Marinette by pretending to be a wax statue, and when she sees you, she starts gushing about you, plucking a piece of your hair off your scalp, stuffing it in her pocket, then going in to kiss you. Your simple prank took a major turn, and know you stand there, still in shock that Marinette would act like this. I would add more to that, but I can’t re-watch that scene to see what else happens or else I’ll cringe so hard I’ll never be able to watch that ep again for a month.

5. Conclusion. Marinette has problems. You can disagree with me all you want, but it’s true. You can still like Marinette, I don’t give a sh*t, really. But just acknowledge that she has problems. You can still love hr, relate to her, anything. Just don’t make her seem like the perfect Goddess of a person when she really isn’t.

this is not even true but okay

Nina Salazar-Roberts is an Bad Character

“[Nini] is just amazing, she’s meant for greatness” but is she? All of the characters in HSMTMTS fawn over Nini, but should the viewers like her as much as they are told they should? Nina Salazar-Roberts is the main character in seasons 1 and 2 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. But she is not a good main character because she is supposed to be the underdog but is not, gets away with her mistakes, and is a bad friend in comparison to the other drama kids.

HSMTMTS tries to do the typical underdog story in the beginning of season 1 and succeeds… with Ricky and EJ. But they fail when it comes to Nini and Gina because her insecurities come from something unrealistic, the rest of her life is amazing, and Gina overcomes much more than her. The reason Nini is supposed to be insecure is not something that should make someone especially insecure. Her insecurities are supposed to stem from getting an ensemble role the first time she auditioned for a musical. She was in grade 10 at the time with 2 grades ahead of her that would be more talented because of their age and it was her first time auditioning. When you look at the big picture it is completely normal that she got an ensemble role. Not to mention the fact that she could have not gotten a role in the musical at all. Her insecurities could stem from elsewhere but when you look at the rest of her life, it is amazing. When we are shown her grandmother she encourages Nini to follow her dreams in the only scene she is in. And her 2 mothers are so kind that when Nini’s ex-boyfriend, Ricky is having family troubles he goes to their house to sleep over. Her best friend, Kourtney spends most of her time supporting her and her boyfriend, EJ is a popular jock who sees her as a star and would do anything for her. Lastly, the old drama teacher gave her an ensemble role in beauty and the beast without Nini auditioning. This all adds up to Nini having amazing support systems and no reason to be insecure more than the average teenager. This would not be that much of an issue if Gina had not overcome so many obstacles that Nini did not have to face. Gina is a transfer student who has a single mother that works for FEMA causing her to not have any long lasting friendships. And when she mentions her mother in the first few episodes her mother sounds like she puts too much pressure on the girl. She would have to overcome her mother not being able to pay for good lessons and constantly feeling out of place and lonely. She would also have to deal with the amount of pressure her mother puts on her. Despite the fact that she is supposed to be the underdog Nini comes off as privileged because the root of her insecurities is unrealistic, she has an amazing support system, and Gina has many more struggles than her.

Having main characters be flawed is very important to a series but Nini gets away with all her mistakes. Nini is not punished for hurting others, does not take responsibility for her mistakes and gets things she does not earn. When Nini jumps to conclusions and overreacts she is not punished and is immediately forgiven. In the beginning of season 1 after Nini’s phone goes missing she thinks that Gina took it. Without any evidence or talking to Gina or an adult she takes her shoes and water bottle, Kourtney also steals Gina’s scarves, jewelry, laptop, and more. When Nini finally returns them to her Gina tells her that she never had her phone and Nini still does not apologize. Later in the series when it is brought up again it is revealed that she was forgiven for returning them. Stealing is serious and she should have been taught a lesson in that episode about overreacting, but she was forgiven just because she returned the things. When Nini treats people badly in relationships she blames them for how they react. When she was dating Ricky she made it as hard for him to adjust to her changes as possible. Then got upset when he could not handle it and broke up with him. Then she pins all the blame on him and says that he is not being supportive of her changing. This is very clearly both of their faults and she could have learnt to be a better girlfriend and friend but instead Ricky never even gets mad at her about this behavior. Nini also always gets what she wants even if she did not earn it. During the opening night of their musical when the dean of an acting school is in the audience Nini makes many mistakes and goes off script to sing with the boy she likes. Then the dean says that she has a voice to share and offers her a spot in the school. Nini also got a part in the fall musical made for her even though she did not audition. She could have had to practice to become a better actress or auditioned late but instead she just always gets what she wants. Overall Nini never has to learn from her mistakes because she gets away with hurting others, her mistakes are blamed on others, and gets things even if she did not work for them.

When you look at everything Nini does for the other drama kids she is a comparatively bad friend. Nini will center herself when talking to her friends, not do any favours for her friends, not thank her friends for what they do for her, and only see things from her point of view. Nini does not care as much about her friends' issues as hers. When EJ tries to talk to her about not getting into Duke she changes the topic to her not liking the Youth Actors Conservatory. When Kourtney tried to talk to her about someone who was shutting down her ideas, Nini instead assumed she was talking about Gina, who Nini was mad at. Nini did not think about what these people were dealing with and instead made the conversation about her. Nini does not do as much for her friends as the other characters do. All of the other Drama kids have done favours for each other such as Ashlyn letting Gina stay at her house and Seb and Gina planning a Quinceañero for Carlos with Nini being on the receiving end for many of these. But the most Nini has ever done for someone else is try to give them confidence, something that the other drama kids do on a daily basis. This makes her friendships seem like they only go one way and like she is taking advantage of them. After her friends do big favours for her she never tells them that she is thankful or even that she appreciated them trying to help her like that. Kourtney got the Dean of the Youth Actors Conservatory to come to the opening night of their musical so she could be offered a spot and Ricky convinced Miss Jenn to give her a part in the musical. Also, Carlos posted her song on Instagram so it could blow up and Gina gave Nini a music producer’s phone number so she could make music professionally. But we never see Nini thank any of them despite enjoying how they all helped her. It seems like this is supposed to make her seem less insecure, like she knows that she is worth it. But, it just makes her seem like a bad friend who just expects people to do big things like this for her. Nini also does not try to think about other people’s perspective. She breaks up with EJ because she felt that he thought she needed to be saved. She also got upset with Ricky for not handling her changing well when he was already having issues with his home life changing and she was dumping it all on him at once. She never tried to understand that EJ just likes doing favours for people he loves or that there was just too much change for Ricky to handle in his life. Nini is a bad friend because she does not care about issues other than her own, never does anything big for her friends, does not thank them, and is not empathetic.

In conclusion, Nini fails as an underdog, is never punished, and is a bad friend which is why she is unlikeable. Nini seems to not understand how privileged she is because she is supposed to be an underdog but is not. Because of how good her friends are to her, her treating them so badly makes her seem so much worse. And her never being punished for everything she does wrong also adds to her seeming very privileged. When you look at the issues with her character the overarching theme is that you would love to be in her position. Like many main characters you are supposed to see yourself as her and when you do not her character breaks apart revealing all the issues. So I will leave you with the question, what effect does indulging ourselves in the fantasy of being praised for beating people who are struggling more than you, never being punished, and people loving you even when you treat them badly have on us as a society?

Um just bc you see people do stuff bc of marinette dosen’t mean you shouldn’t call out adrien for being annoying and not respecting boundaries. And honestly I found this to be bullshit. I was 11 2 years ago and 12 a year ago and i’m smart enough to know not to do what a a cartoon does. It’s also physically impossible to fo what marinette does. Anyways if you wanted to be like marinette why not just be a fashion designer, or a gamer or class president? Why not bake ur crushes favorite treat? Why that? Especially since the stalker thing is shown in a few episode out of many and she stopped in szn 4. Teen nowadays stalk there crush on the internet.

And People Wonder Why We Call Out Marinette More Than We Do Adrien. Like, Have You Ever Read Somewhere

And people wonder why we call out Marinette more than we do Adrien. Like, have you ever read somewhere that someone was influenced badly by Adrien's actions? And this is isn't the first person I stumbled upon someone who got into trouble because of the normalization of Marinette's stalkerish behavior. Like this person said, her behavior is dangerous.

this post is sum bullshit especially about adrienette

Miraculous Rant

Actually, you know what, while im still mad from the previous post I made, lets go off on a rant. No punches pulled. Lets do this.

The lovesquare is the most terrible ship in this fandom. One girl is a hyper obsessed stalker who tracks her crush with her planner for 3 whole seasons, while the boy couldn’t learn to take a hint and stop flirting for 3 whole seasons until he decided to move on with another girl. Ironically that makes them perfect for eachother, but its in a creepy kind of way, not a loving kind of way.

Adrigami and Lukanette in the S3 Finale were wasted events and never should have occured because they were immediately axed in the first few episodes of the next season. I feel sorry for those that were hoping their ships could be real for at least a short actual while, and it makes me want to curse the writers for their story-boner for the status quo of teases

you said marinette is unlikable in szn 4 but didn’t give examples. In fact she developed from her obsession. Alya is her bestie and it’s not like she planned to tell her. stfu.

Miraculous Rant.

Where the hell do I begin…

Season 1:

The show was decent in season 1. Some episodes were just mindless filler and probably weren’t needed in the grand scheme of things but they helped us get introduced to the characters, we got to know the plot and the world our characters inhabit. It was good. The love story between Adrien and Marinette was cute and off to a touching and fluffy start.

Season 2:

This season was immediately better than season 1. It had character development, it went more into detail about the lore surrounding the Miraculous and we got to learn more about our characters and their families and the villian’s motives. (HM really went from “I wanna destroy the world” to “I wanna wake my wife from the coma she’s in”).

We got to see new heroes which was fun! We got new characters like Luka and Kagami.

The season finale was epic! The Miraculous team all taking down all the previous villains in the show was awesome. At the end we even got Mari kissing Adrien on the cheek. It was great! (Even though it clearly reset itself in season 3 cause it’s never mentioned again)

I really enjoyed season 2 and it’s probably my favourite out of the 4.

Season 3:

Season 3 was kinda good and kinda bad. We had some great episodes but this is where the show took the wrong turn.

Marinette lost some of her character in season 3. This was the start of her descent into being the Queen of Mary Sues. It’s also where she was crowned the Queen of Stalkers! Her character took a fucking nose dive in this season. We had so many moments that just creeped me the fuck out.

1. The ENTIRETY of Puppeteer 2 🤢🤢🤢 I could not stand that episode. When we reached the dreaded statue scene I physically had to pause it like 10 times. That scene takes about 3 minutes to watch… it took me about 20. I cringed so fucking hard because of the secondhand embarrassment I was feeling. That was not sweet, it wasn’t romantic, it wasn’t the least bit cute… it was a train wreck! It was creepy and stalkerish and it’s a wonder Adrien even spoke to her again after that atrocity!

2. LB delivering the present in Chat Blanc. Two words: STALKER BEHAVIOUR!!! I genuinely could not believe my eyes when I saw LB run her hand across everything in his room and then actually SNIFF Adrien’s pillow. Like WTF!!! 🤮 I’m pretty sure whoever was responsible for that scene clearly thought it was the equivalent of when someone gets their S/O’s jumper or something and it still smells like them. But this turned it up to the nth degree and way passed the line of sanity.

Adrien was extremely under-utilised in this season. He didn’t really do anything. The only episodes we got about him didn’t really focus on him. ‘Felix’ whilst focusing on Adrien’s family didn’t really feature him. ‘Party Crasher’ while a beautiful mess was more about Mari trying to get into the party than the party itself. ‘Chat Blanc’ again focused more on Mari trying to fix her mistake.

We got even more heroes in season 3, not in the right order but they were there. It was fun seeing everyone’s transformations.

Season 3 was also the season of destroying redemptions. The big one obviously being Chloe. Season 2 was setting up this amazing redemption for her and before it could go anywhere it was wiped off the face of the earth during the finale (and don’t worry we’ll get to that dumpster fire later). Gabriel also had any remaining sympathy ripped away from him. How did the guy who stopped Gorizilla from letting Adrien die when he only thought he was CN go from that to using his son like fucking baseball in Chat Blanc when he knew his son was CN. Like I knew you were a shit father but you still cared about Adrien in some way shape or form but after that episode I can see I was clearly mistaken!

Before we get to the finale I want to talk about probably my 2 least favourite episodes from this season: Desperada and Reflekdoll

Desperada:

I fucking hated this episode! The only good thing was Luka getting to be Viperion, other than that this episode was awful!

Marinette was a selfish cringey bitch. Completely ignoring Luka to gush about Adrien to Jagged. Brushing Luka off as soon as Adrien turns up. Immediately cuddling up to Aspik and flirting with him when she needed to focus on the akuma (something which she has told CN not to do many times before)

Adrien, I love you kid but Jesus Christ you were a dumbass in this episode! Aspik’s design was terrible! Aspik himself was awful. I know Adrien tried his best but dude you were given the Black Cat miraculous for a reason! He shouldn’t have tried to be Aspik but even when he did he should’ve called it quits after like 5 resets not 25,913 times.

The only person with a brain this episode was Luka. So well done guitar boy, gold star!

Reflekdoll:

This episode was annoying! It was basically the start of the Marinette can do no wrong streak! When they have to swap miraculous I was happy cause it meant we got to see new outfits and see how they each handle the different powers. It would also serve as a way to get LB and CN to see what their partners role is first hand. Until we actually get to it…

LadyNoire is of course amazing and needs no introduction to using this new miraculous that she’s never used before. She’s cocky and confident and basically just LB in Chat’s costume with his powers.

Mister Bug on the other hand is just useless. He struggles with this new miraculous (like anyone would!) and is stupid and goofy. He has to rely on LadyNoire to solve the lucky charm. They swapped miraculous so shouldn’t that mean that Mister Bug should get the lucky vision and the creative powers that the earrings give him.

Overall Reflekdoll is awful. It was shitty writing and the start of Adrien getting the short end of the stick.

And now the season 3 finale… Just what the fuck. That is my only reaction: what the fuck!

Chloe you poor fucking child! What did they do to you!!! So much potential SQUANDERED!!!!

What was the point in bringing in all these different superheros with unique skill sets, costumes and transformations if you were just going to immediately reveal them to the main villian so they can’t be used again. That’s stupid! If you wanted the shock value that is “Oh no HM knows some of the heroes identities!” Then keep it as only some. Have like Max, Kim and Kagami outside trying to find somewhere to hide but unfortunately they get hit. Or Nino and Alya are hiding but the windows open and they get hit. Have some of the heroes hide so they’re fine! Taking away every ally of LB and CN’s was a stupid move! (Even if they wanted Alya to become a spy have her as part of the like 4 that get revealed or something, it’s not that difficult)

Season 3 was 50/50 for me

Season 4:

So I know season 4 isn’t even halfway through yet but so much is wrong with this season already that I need to vent!

So my biggest problem with this season of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybitch and Rena Rouge, I mean Rena Furtive… shit, Chat Noir! Is that CN is basically pointless! Adrien has been flung over a rainbow and is only remembered when he’s needed as

1. Marinette’s love interest

2. Someone for LB to shout at

3. A plot device

He has basically been sidelined. Partners my ASS!!!

Adrien is being blown off by pretty much EVERYONE! It’s coming to a point where this poor sweet summer child is going to crack! And it is not gonna be pretty… I definitely feel like the writers are leading up to a big fight between CN and LB which will probably end with Chat Blanc 2.0.

I REALLY HATE MARINETTE/LADYBUG!!!! In Season 3 I said it was the beginning of her descent, well in season 4 she’s done it. She’s descended, she has hit rock fucking bottom. She is so unlikable I don’t actually care about her as a person. She has entered full blown stalker territory it’s only a matter of time before she starts killing people for even looking at Adrien! Not to mention that Miss Mary Sue here can’t do anything wrong! She never has to suffer the consequences of her actions, she is always perfect no matter what she does… it pisses me off!)

She’s the Guardian now big whoop. I know what it feels like to be stressed and under pressure so I do understand why she needed to tell someone about it all. I just don’t see why that person had to Alya! Especially considering she has someone by her side every akuma attack going through pretty much the exact same thing. I know she’s worried about CB happening again but as I said before the more she leaves him out the more she is actually pushing that to become a possibility! Plus it makes sense for them to reveal their identities now since LB is now the guardian it’s probably a good idea to know who holds the cat miraculous, she knows everyone else’s identities!

Even if she didn’t want to tell CN her identity she could still explain the situation to him. If she didn’t want to tell him anything (which she doesn’t anyway) then instead of Alya she should’ve talked to Luka! Her boyfriend for all of half an episode (thanks writers…). He’s so sweet and caring and clearly loves her so much! If she wanted someone to confide in then why not choose the person you clearly wanted to date but couldn’t because of that very reason! (Yeah I know it’s kinda a moot point now since Luka knows both identities but still). He wanted to try and comfort her so it would’ve been the perfect moment for it. That way you could still date him and he’d know why you had to suddenly leave dates halfway through! But no break the boys heart instead!

Adrien and Marinette were both such fucking idiots in the first 2 episodes. Like why would you start a relationship with someone when you know your heart isn’t in it! That’s called leading someone on and is a really shitty thing to do to someone! No wonder Kagami and Luka ended up akumatized!

Another aspect of season 4 I don’t like is Rena Furtive. Yes ok having a spy for your side is a good strategy but when said spy basically tells an important member of a duo that the 2 person job doesn’t involve them… it just really ticks me off! Alya you are the sidekick to LB and CN! Chat isn’t!

Miraculous specials:

The Miraculous World specials suck! Shanghai is better than NY but still has its problems. Both specials add nothing to the overall plot/lore of the show apart from trying to set up some weird cinematic universe…

NY special:

One of the worst things I’ve ever had to sit through! The plane scene alone I paused a few times. I want to say well done to Mari for trying to move on from Adrien (especially considering I’m pretty sure she’s dating Luka at this point) but I can’t help but think it’s just to give her character some pointless development that goes nowhere and doesn’t actually develop anything!

LB can pretty much fuck off at this point! I hate her! She put all this shit on CN (like she doesn’t know exactly how that feels). It’s like why does she get to go off on holiday but CN can’t. LB should’ve stayed in Paris for 3 reasons:

1. She’s recently become the guardian meaning it would probably be best that she stayed with the Mircle Box

2. She’s the only one who can purity the akumas

3. If she’s so sure about being the boss then she should take responsibility of Paris and the citizens.

What really pisses me off about her is what she says to CN during the big fight. “I can’t trust you”… surely you could have this conversation afterwards since you’re supposed to be focusing on taking down the villian! Plus everyone bashes Adrien for giving his miraculous up in this episode but look at it from his point of view: His partner and best friend just said she couldn’t trust him which in turn caused him to cataclysm someone and essentially kill them. That’s gonna take a toll on anyone, especially a 14 year old! He probably thought in that moment. “Ladybug needs a partner she can trust and someone who won’t mess up and kill someone. She needs a better partner.” It makes sense he renounces his miraculous! I’m just upset that in doing so he loses Plagg who is pretty much his only friend who actually understands what Adrien goes through at home.

When Uncanny gets CN to come back, LB acts like it’s not her fault in the first place that he feels inadequate! She didn’t even apologise for saying what she did! He apologised for lying about not being in Paris but nope LB wasn’t in the wrong at all and didn’t have anything to apologise for 🙄… (yes the LadyNoir hug was amazing but I just wish it was under different circumstances!)

Also are we not gonna mention Gabriel Agreste almost starting WW3??? He wanted to launch a fucking missile!!!

Shanghai:

As I said before, this special is way better for several reasons.

We got MariChat! (Best side to the love square imo). This special actually had some semblance on a plot. Fei, whilst a bit op, was a cool character. It was nice to see Wang Cheng again.

However once again there were many problems.

A big one being Marinette yet again! (What a shock! 😒 I’ll come back to this). Another was that once again HM’s motivation has changed. How is getting the Prodigious gonna help bring back Emilie??

Back to Marinette… The fact that the words “Huh?! There must be some kind of mistake! I always know what's up with Adrien! … His 5 first names and every corresponding name date, his yearly schedule, even his shoe size! If there were anything to know about him, I would know it!” come out of her mouth whilst she is flipping through his schedule that she keeps in her pocketbook is a hugh red flag!!! That is not cute or adorable! That’s messed up and Adrien needs to fucking run and maybe possibly go into witness protection… Marinette is a full blown stalker! Not to mention the GPS she has (that could just be the find my friends app on iphone but still).

It also is extremely rude of her to use not only her great uncle’s birthday but also a lie about wanting to know her Chinese heritage in order to go to Shanghai to stalk her obsession, I mean crush. This could’ve been avoided if the Dupain-Chengs were going to Shanghai for the purpose of celebrating Wang Cheng’s bday and then Adrien just so happened to be in Shanghai.

Also this means LB left Paris without telling CN! I know CN did the same but again he can’t purify the akumas. Plus he has a reason he couldn’t stay in Paris, Mari just went cause her crush did. Great guardianship there Marinette.

This was also the last time CN actually did something. Even if it was for a short while before LB and her female partner took over (the beginning of a theme…)

Other things:

There are 2 other things that I wanna say but felt they needed a separate bit.

In Furious Fu, Su-Han has a rule book that he uses to tell Marinette which rules she has broken. At the end of the episode he tells her that is she breaks 1 more rule that he will take the Miraculous and the Miracle Box off her, which fair enough but wouldn’t it be helpful to leave the rule book with her?! How can she be wary of not breaking anymore rules when she doesn’t even know what the rules are??

Now the big one: Master Fu…

Where do I even start with him. He is so fucking manipulative!! He is Asian Dumbledore!

He decides to leave these extremely powerful jewels in the hands of 13 year olds! Surely leaving the miraculous to someone in their 20s would’ve been better!

He clearly favours LB over CN even though the Ladybug and Black Cat are supposed to be partners! Wouldn’t it make sense for them both to be in contact with the guardian from the start?? He randomly started introducing rules such as if LB and CN find out each other’s identities they would lose their miraculous… what kind of bullshit rule is that? It also came out of fucking nowhere!

Final Thoughts:

But to summarise all of that: Miraculous is on quite a steep decline but I’m invested at this point and I am genuinely curious as to where the fuck this will go.

Marinette needs professional fucking help before the writers even consider canonising Adrienette cause at the moment she is not what Adrien needs!

Adrien needs to stand up for himself! He needs to pull LB to the side and tell her what he feels and what he’s going through cause he is on the precipice of a breakdown!

(Small point that’s more to do with the fandom: when searching for fanfics it’s really annoying that Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir Bashing is a tag but Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug Bashing isn’t. Why does everyone think Marinette can do no wrong???)

I love Nini

It’s hard to be apart the hsmtmts fandom when your favorite character is Nini. Also the fact she barely  gets screentime this season.  She gets sm hate for what? Also I love her beyond Olivia. Who else loves Nini?

Chloe's Development

Can I just say I felt really bad for Chloe in this episode? I know she really, REALLY isn't the nicest person on earth but thinking about what Zoe told her at the end... Maybe that was the very first time in her life that someone told her they would love her unconditionally.

Like, no matter what she did and how she behaved she would be accepted and loved. Remember, she became like that in the first place to gain her Mother's affection and because of maternal negligence, of course! She never even dared to step out of this mean girl persona, since she knew that's not what her mother would see as "acceptable". That's the case even today. Her father isn't completely innocent either naturally, since he probably never had time for her during childhood as he was running for mayor, I don't believe he played a big role in this, though.

Chloe's Development

Chloe adapted this horrid behavior after being neglected throughout the years and that's also why being Queen Bee and getting recognized for it meant so much to her, even if the act of heroism itself wasn't her motivation. Considering all these factors, she never really had a good role model and the one person she looked up to, Ladybug, neglected and left her in the end too. This poor girl was basically destined to turn out this way. But what makes Queen Banana even more soul crushing is the fact that in this episode she has really lost everyone and everything at one point (maybe except Sabrina lol). She lost her childhood friend, the trust in her father, her powers/identity as Queen Bee and the people who had already left her were emphasized on again like Ladybug and her Mother. And of course some of these losses were justified, since Chloe pushed them away herself, but not only are we trying to see things from her perspective, nobody ever taught her different.

Chloe's Development

This may just be a valuable learning experience for Chloe, especially now that she has the confirmation from her half-sister that she can be vulnerable and can be her true self (which we saw in Malediktator already) without being judged and that her emotions are valid. Actually, now that I'm typing this, maybe Zoe's character arc somehow also translates to Chloe's. Maybe that will be the point in all of this: Zoe helping Chloe to turn the tides, because she understands how it is to pretend to be someone you are not, even if one of them did it consciously and one of them does it subconsciously.

Chloe's Development
Chloe's Development

There is good in Chloe. We have seen it, Marinette has seen it, all of Paris has seen it. And before you come here saying that "Adrien didn't turn out this way and he has a neglectful father" - Gabriel became like this only one year ago, when Emilie died. EMILIE "DIED" ONE YEAR AGO CHLOE'S MOTHER HAS NEVER ONCE EXISTED IN HER LIFE SINCE THE DAY SHE WAS BORN.

Not only that, but there is still hope for her. I think I need to remind some of you of the fact that one of the best redemption arcs in the history of animated television didn't have a smooth ride at all. Zuko from ATLA basically murdered all his development from the second season in the finale of Book Two. Or at least it seemed that way at first... Just like Chloe threw all her work from more than one season away in "Miracle Queen". (Or at least it seemed that way at first?) But here comes the whole "role model" thing again: Zuko had Iroh, whose guidance stuck with him even until after his betrayal and which ultimately led him to the right path. Chloe never had an Iroh. However, who knows, Zoe could just possibly be her Uncle Iroh.

Chloe's Development
Chloe's Development

And, by the way, as long as we are talking about ATLA... Chloe could have turned out a lot worse. I believe many of us know another, only 14 year old girl, who believed that her mother didn't love her. Actually, who believed NOBODY in the world loved her. And we know how she turned out to be in the end.

Chloe's Development

Yeah.

All I'm saying is, please don't be too harsh on Chloe. Yes, the hurt she has caused is definitely inexcusable, but at least there is an explanation and there is hope. Maybe like Mr. Bustier, we should try to see the good in her and all people.

Chloe's Development

[this was also probably her first hug and show of affection from any sort of motherly figure]

what are adrien's flaws? /gen

His flaws are things that are born of his traumatic circumstances, which he had no part in creating, but still affected him enough.

He's very much prone to projecting his bad experiences with his father (and to a lesser extent, Chloe) onto his friends, who he has a better relationship. The one he does this most with is Marinette. There are people who are good at reading between the lines, Adrien is too good at it to the point of seeing things that aren't there.

He is someone who wasn't exposed to social cues, and while anyone who spent enough time growing up around kids would be able to tell that she is flustered and shy around him because she has a crush on him, but he is too used to taking people at their word (and more - Father can't spend time with him, he must be grieving, grieving mom is more important than being with me, therefore I'm not important - which is exactly what Gabriel is intending to do) that he wrongly, and is very QUICK to assume that Marinette just didn't like being around him.

With Ladybug, he projects something different, his desperate need for validation.

He views his relationship with her as some sort of transaction. As long as he is useful, Ladybug will keep him around. As long as he makes things funner and happier for her, she will tolerate his presence. Otherwise she has no use for him. This is all a direct consequence of being treated like a product for other people's pleasure. Adrien is so used to playing a role, playing a part, he genuinely doesn't think that who he is as a person is enough for the one he loves to want to be around him. Ironically, you have Ladybug, who loves him the way he is and doesn't want anyone else to take his place. He is painfully unaware of it and needs to be given encouragement that yes, he is wanted, he is needed.

(I just want someone to tell him that he is wanted and needed for who he is, not what he can give them)

The third flaw Adrien has, but is slowly growing out of, is his inability to know when to let go. He kept on holding out hope (in the most harmless way possible) that one day, Ladybug will love him the way he loves her, even if it was something that wasn't going to happen. But he has most definitely grown out of it, since as early as Season 3, and though he is in love with her, you don't exactly see him pursuing her, do you? He kept on hoping that Chloe will change, since people were giving her opportunities to, but that hasn't happened either and as of Queen Banana, he knows that. He was trying his best to keep his relationship with Kagami going, even with his feelings for Ladybug and his double life. He was still scraping for ways to be in her life, even if it was as a friend, but when Kagami declined the offer, he accepted it and didn't push further.

The one time the show was very very on the nose about this being a flawed mindset of Adrien's, but something he CAN keep in check was Desperada. He didnt give up for months to try and save Ladybug, but he was also humble enough to realise he wasn't the right person for the job then.

The fourth, is not exactly something harmful to others, but is self destructive, is his tendency to pretend that everything is fine and shut down, because he believes that his own feelings aren't worthy enough to be discussed, compared to the bigger problems at hand. One of Adrien's biggest strengths is his resilience, his ability to keep on going no matter what, but I worry if one day this is exactly what is going to lead to his breakdown too.

Now that you talked about Adrien's flaws, what are Marinette's?

Marinette’s flaws stem from the fact that she can be painfully single minded to the point of not really considering things from other people’s perspective.

And this can lead to a few of her flaws, when she can be pretty judgemental (though she has very much grown out of it now), being jealous, and being a control freak.

Once she latches on a plan, there are very few forces in the world strong enough to get her to snap out of it, and while this makes her perfect for the Ladybug miraculous, it also leads her into trouble.

Her insistence on creating a plan and sticking to it, if it fails, create another plan and stick to it also reads into how much she cares for other people and just wants to make things right for them, but where Adrien succeeds in sitting down and listening to what they have to say, she fails.

She does make up for it when there is some sort of trigger that makes her change her mind, like when she realizes that she misjudged Adrien and Kagami, and when she listens to what Alya and Chat have to say. When she realises she was wrong, she does everything she can to make it right. (That’s what makes her different from the antagonists of this show, she is willing to hold herself accountable)

Marinette views communication as a strategy, and it works for her, a lot of times with akumas and other situations, but she knows that communication involves vulnerability and going with the flow. Marinette doesn’t fear vulnerability. (Not like Adrien does) She fears unpredictability. She fears risk.

She can’t predict what Adrien’s answer will be if she confesses, but she can’t and won’t force him to love her either. She can’t continue making excuses and lies and keep up the secrets forever, but she can’t expect her friends and family to shut up and take it either.

So Marinette turns to logic instead of taking a risk. She can go ahead and make the situation romantic, she can woo Adrien so that he can come forward and confess to her, instead of it happening the other way around and risking rejection. If her friends don’t come to her and try to figure out what’s going on with her, she won’t have to lie to them anymore. She views real, honest human communication like a battlefield - if she has the right plans, Hawkmoth can’t get to her.

And the show has proved that though her tactics are brilliant and logical and have saved a lot of people in the right circumstances, it isn’t a fail safe either. The few times she has let her guard down, the few times she let herself be vulnerable with no backup plans, the results have been overwhelmingly positive. For example, when she was honest with Chat Noir about her platonic feelings for him, and about the two times when she felt like she wasn’t capable of fixing things, and she was honest with Alya when she revealed her identity to her. It seems like Marinette hasn’t realised just yet what truly talking and communicating with someone, even with a risk factor can do, but she is on her way to getting it.

I blame Fu for that actually, because he encouraged her taking on all responsibility of saving Paris and protecting her identity all on her own instead of letting her depend on other people, which is why she hadn’t realised the positive reaffirmation that can be gotten from depending on others. Letting herself take a risk with Alya was a huge moment of growth for her.

I don't understand what is wrong with Adrien wanting to date Marinette once he figures out she's Ladybug. He said he always felt something for Mari and now he knows why - because she's the girl he's been in love with for months; even if he didn't realize it he recognized Ladybug in her, showing that he really does love the girl behind the mask.

Right! This episode pretty much trashed the whole “true selves” trope that we were worried about. It’s been backed in narrative that Adrien has a soft spot for Marinette; finding out she was also the love of his life helped him place that more-than-a-friend feeling he experiences with her.

It’s literally like meeting somebody you know outside a situation that you normally see them in. When he found out, he didn’t question it–he didn’t even have water-tight, concrete proof that Ladybug was Marinette. He put two and two together and it made sense to him.

Adrien’s a hopeless romantic, so to him, how he felt around Marinette pre-reveal made perfect sense. It always seemed like they were more than friends, and he’s admitting it, because he’d fallen in love with her as Ladybug. She’s the same person he fell in love with, he just has a full understanding of the situation now. If Adrien loves Ladybug, and Ladybug is Marinette, then Adrien loves Marinette. This is simple to Adrien, and I feel like it should be simple for us too.

The same thing happened when Marinette saw Adrien turn into Chat Noir. They have context, so it makes sense why it wasn’t an issue.

why do u hate kagami?

I don’t! I think I’m more so disappointed? I loved how she and Marinette became friends, but then I was just like ehhh when she said she’d p much sacrifice that if that meant that she could be with Adrien. I’ve said this before, but her characterization is inconsistent.

The Kagami of Riposte wouldn’t have even put up with Adrien’s mixed signals. He isn’t saying yes so it’s a no. Don’t try to push for an answer, he’s wasting your time. And you already know he’s emotionally invested in someone else so it’s not like he’s available anyway. I know it’s not fully her fault, Adrien should open his mouth and say something, but also you shouldn’t let him waste your time.

This also kinda extends to Luka as well. I don’t dislike him, I just don’t really care for their purpose in the show.

Expanding the love square without the introduction of alternate interests is far more interesting, and it gives the other two the chance to take their place without being tied to a love story that’s ultimately not going to work out for them.

You're Favorite thing about Marinette?

If I had to pick my absolute favorite thing about Marinette. I would have to say it is her genuine personality.

To better explain, Marinette’s actions while at times over the top, still feel real. I can relate to Marinette. She isn't perfect, she gets mad, holds grudges, acts impulsively, but she still goes out of her way to help people and be a good friend, daughter, ally, partner and superheroine.

I want Marinette to succeed, I want her to be the happiest she can be. A lot of shows rarely have main characters with the amount of appeal and Charm Marinette has. Marinette has this innate quality to have you feel her joy and her pain.

That is why when she struggles and is hurt, it is painful for the viewer. To get that in a main character is very impressive. She is my fave character in ML, which is why I want to write so much more regarding my favorite things.
