Mr. Stark, who's been tinkering with something that looks alarmingly like a miniaturized nuclear reactor, drops it with a loud clank. He turns around so fast, Peter's half-convinced he's going to get whiplash just from watching.

"Care to run that by me again?"

Oh, fuck.

"What? No! Jesus," Peter waves his arm, trying to backtrack from the conversational cliff he's just hurled himself off. "Not like that."

...Regardless, Peter has a soft spot for Tony Stark, who is the greatest being ever lived, saved half the universe, and Peter by extension, more than once, and is waiting here, in Queens, by Peter’s door.

And Peter might be sad and hopeless and should probably tattoo nevergonnahappen over his heart, or better on his ass, as a conversation starter, since it’s all the action he's been and will continue getting from older guys he meets on Grindr about once a quarter. But he isn't impolite or ungrateful for everything Tony’s done or at least tried and offered to do for him after May died, when Peter fucked it up so very bad, with Tony having to unfuck it.

So Peter nudges him aside—drunk or not—and jiggles the key in the stiff lock with a weak "Hey," really wishing for a stiff drink himself if only it worked on him.

Tony's been dodging Peter for months, only to crash his photo show without warning and ruin his big day. Because... reasons.

Tony should be checking out his own wings, but he's too busy gawking at Bucky's. The feathers interlock seamlessly in armor plating, with a liquid smoothness to their movement. The leading edge of each wing looks razor-sharp, tapering into fine, delicate tips. "Holy shit," Tony gapes, and Bucky exhales loudly, the vibranium feathers rippling. It’s mesmerizing. Bucky is… mesmerizing. Can Tony touch them? He really wants to touch them, even though he should be focusing on more pertinent questions. Such as, how are they powered? How much weight can they lift? Can they be used in combat? Or, for instance, what the actual fuck is going on? "Hey," Bucky licks his lips and flutters down, his boots gently touching the floor. "You are glowin’. What the hell, Tony, you are—shiny."

America Chavez drags Tony and Bucky through the multiverse, and they emerge on the other side with metal wings. Because obviously, that’s exactly what Tony needs on top of his I-pine-after-Bucky-Barnes-with-the-intensity-of-a-thousand-suns problem.

Ok i’m not quite sure what was i thinking of when i’ve posted this art at my russian group at VK and decided not to post it here. It was really long time ago. 2017 i think (i kinda see it ‘cause of difference in my art style 😅 and coloring).
