Rick Riordan was my catalyst for learning more about mythology in general, I mostly specialize in Greek mythology of course (I could give an AP seminar on Greek mythology creationism) but I also know a bit about Egyptian mythology and the tiniest bit of Norse mythology.

Honestly, you make a point I didn’t make in my original reblog, thank you for pointing that out.
If churches have the capability to, then they should absolutely help out people in need, if they are not able to then they should start fundraising for the people in need. The whole point of being Christian is treat your neighbors at least as good as you’d treat yourself.

As a Christian this pisses me off. It seems like no one has even heard of the good Samaritan, literally one of the most taught Sunday school lessons. Christians should have the phrase "treat thy neighbor as thyself" burned into their memory since childhood and it pisses me off when i see Christians not act that way.
Rant over, I'm happy the family got their water bill paid in the end, and I hope that church ends up getting a rude awakening.

PERCY JACKSON FANS HEAR ME OUT!
It’s season 3 of the PJO show AKA The Titans Curse. Percy (Walker) is sitting in front of Aphordite Goddess of Love and Beauty who just so happens to look like an older version of his best friend Annabeth (Leah) totally unrelated we’re sure.
Then he blinks and the beautiful woman in front of him changes….now she has brown hair and blue eyes she smiles, its Alexandria Daddario movie Annabeth. Just a split second cameo and then she’s gone.
Now a different woman is sitting in front of Percy, a woman with blonde hair and hazel eyes Kristen Stokes Lightning Thief Musical Annabeth. She shifts and changes again.
The final and last woman we see before Percy has curly blonde hair, tanned skin, and stormy grey eyes it’s book Annabeth.
Percy doesn’t realise it but we do. The Goddess of love shows him every version of the girl he loves from every universe he loves her in. It’s beautiful, it’s cinema, it needs to happen.
To add on to this, after going throughout the depths of Tartarus I don't think they want to move too fast. If they can survive the Greek Mythology's utter void of all positive emotions, WITH A SMILE ON THEIR FACE, they can survive anything together so therefore they have all the time in the world to be together.
I've read many fanfics subtly, and not-so-subtly, hinting at percy and annabeth being 'active' in their relationship, and while I understand that they are teenagers with raging hormones, I don't think they would be. In fact, I would go as far to say that they're both extremely gentle with the each other, allowing their relationship to slowly evolve over time. of course, these two are inseparable and bounded for life, but they haven't really spent that much time together as a couple without simultaneously fighting for their lives. I imagine when they do get the chance to live their lives somewhat normally, their nights are spent cuddling on the couch and watching romantic comedies, or figuring out how to make chocolate brownies blue, or staying up late and talking about their future together and what they hope it'll look like for the both of them. we see these two be warriors in battle so often, I think we sometimes forget they're just two kids in love.

You aren't wrong, but the way he went about BEING an ass, made him slightly evil IMO. He's the one who killed Gwen, listened to Gaea even though part of him knew not too, and overall is just slightly evil, not enough to deserve death (IMO) but he was evil enough.

Everytime I see a post calling Percabeth toxic i feel like smacking myself. Like they might not have gotten along in the first book but they they have moved past that a long time ago. Feels like people cant move past it. And there are worse relatioships than that so why not focus on those if you want to call something toxic.
same. literally same. people make something out of nothing and it annoys me to no end. like… since they butted heads when there were scared 12 year olds, they can’t grow and become best friends and fall in love? like out of all the problematic things in those books, percabeth is their biggest concern? years of slowly developed love and trust and mutual respect, and people take one silly moment and call their entire relationship toxic?
