Like how the reason Germany was so slow to actually mobilize was because they were still negotiating with Russia for an alliance and Austria just jumped the gun and declared war and Germany didn't know was had been declared for THREE MONTHS because the guy in charge of foreign relations was still in Russia at the time and Germany was Three Months behind and they would be even further behind because now they need to start mobilizing their army because SOMEONE didn't communicate to their one ally that they were about to go to war, even though the only reason Austria was confident they could even survive a war was BECAUSE Germany was their biggest ally.

This is like starting a fight with someone because you were best friends with the toughest guy in school, but forgot to TELL him that you were starting the fight and he lived three hours away and was still hung over from a party. And suddenly he gets a phone call that you started a fight and now he's gotta rush to get his pants on and drive over there even though he knows he's still way too hung over for such a fight.
