I Was Wondering Why Lucia Was So Fixated On Seeing The Good In Everett. One Could Chalk It Up To Her
i was wondering why lucia was so fixated on seeing the good in everett. one could chalk it up to her innate kindness and compassion.
but i think it's because whenever she looks at everett, how monstrous he looks even when he isn't caught up in that beastly aura, she sees her sister
and while she couldn't save her sister, maybe she could save him

i wish i had an irl to enjoy jrwi with because tmk ep 4 got me yelling and jumping all around man like that shit blew my mind
i recently finished the ep where jay has a call with grandma ferin, and i've had thoughts ever since (spoilers ahead):
jay's always been the one with a little more smarts, a little more common sense out of the albatrio. she's usually the one trying to keep chip and gillion out of trouble, and more often than not, she's solo-ing the big evil boss while chip and gillion are stuck doing some bit.
chip and gillion have fondly said "jay's the smartest" and "jay's the smart one here" countless times.
she didn't feel so smart hyperventilating into the conch shell with her grandmother on the other end.
she didn't feel so smart when she froze up the moment she heard her grandma's voice, unable to form a single intelligible sentence to even remotely try to pretend she was still undercover and working for the navy.
after she had retreated to the captain's quarters, chip and gillion had come to the conclusion that they didn't really know how to help her, and that jay had probably already figured it out anyways.
but she didn't.
so much for being the smart one, huh?
and if not for aslana's sudden visit, she would have probably spiralled in her thoughts all night. she would have probably stayed up replaying the conversation over and over, each time ending the same.
because she was the smart one in all things except when it came to the ferins.
started listening to raye out of pure chance stumbling on a clip of Oscar Winning Tears and i think i've found my new favourite musician!! and she's such a precious human being too uGh
Do you all of a sudden just realize Gillion has only recently faced grief for the first time? His entire life he should've been. He was ripped from his parents, had no such thing as a childhood, and only occasionally got to see the only person who cared about him whatsoever. But that was simply life for him. He was always secure, knowing the path that was laid out for him. Then one day it was all ripped away from him. He had lost something, and even if it wasn't something good, it was something known and safe. The first time we ever actually see him grieve isn't until the feywild arc, when he loses Pretzel. He right off the bat becomes scary, even dangerous to be around. He does the same thing when he finds out Edyn is gone. A lot of people call him childish for reacting the way he did, but that's because grief is new to him, just like it is to a child. This is the first time he's ever had to process something like this. He loses Edyn and Pretzel and suddenly he's ten again, all alone and scared and sad.
